O jogo é a realidade dura e fria que ninguém espera, esse jogo é uma obra de arte que tem que ser saboreada a cada minuto.

I don't know how they did it, but Neil Druckman's team surpassed the insane expectations I personally had for this sequel. It's a story full of twists that involves you from the second you ride into Jackson as Joel. The graphics were astonishing, the acting made you forget that the people weren't real, and the story just felt... raw. Authentic. It's a story full of twists that involves you from the second you ride into Jackson as Joel. The graphics were astonishing, the acting made you forget that the people weren't real, and the story just felt... raw. Authentic. Things made sense, even though it sometimes didn't go the way you want it to, very much like in Game of Thrones. As a piece of literature, this game really outdid itself - you feel that there are layers upon layers beneath the sentences spoken and the things done by your character. The number of times I covered my mouth in shock, or awe, or sadness, or chuckled at the stabs (metaphorical) or stiffened up at the real stabs they took at each other, are countless. The Gameplay mechanics are fluid, and feel so grounded. You feel every shot you take, every dodge leaves your heart throbbing, crawling/sneaking around felt real.
I'm jealous you get to play this game for the first time. This was an unforgettable experience, and a more than worthy successor to the genius that is The Last of Us.

The living proof that a game can be something more.
It's a sad, real and moving story but at the same time you can find happiness and joy in the little thing, in the looks exchanged between characters and in the dialogues... like real life.
As a game it has an incredible fun game-play improved compared to the first one

No hagas caso a críticas negativas. Es un videojuego con mucho corazón, y se nota en sus detalles. No debería faltar en tu experiencia de juego. Obviamente tiene problemas de ritmo, pero solo eso

    Revenge and Forgiveness.
Two side of the same coin, like the protagonists of this story.
If the first one was a really good game, Part 2 goes beyond and reaches a depth like very few other games.
From a game play perspective, TLOU Part 2 is fun and well-produced. Level design, lights, models, music and the OST... an outstanding job

Pacing between playing as Ellie and after with Abby for such a long hours, a minus. Not that Abby’s story couldn’t be interesting, but when you’re just getting into it with Ellie, it sucked to be taken away from that.

    - for pacing// abby gaming placement + hours

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I tried to write this with minimal spoilers but there is some major ones towards the end regarding Ellie. So don’t read if you plan on playing, which you should it is a great game to play but the story to me fell short. This game was a personal let down, in regards to the narrative and characters. To clarify when I say characters, I mean how their stories are told and how they are presented, not their gender, build/body type, or their sexuality. The writing was ambitious and well done for what they were going for but it missed the mark. Firstly, Joel’s death was mishandled, I got no problem that he died but I do with the way it happened. To have no build up or suspense it lacked the punch it should have had and the whole situation was unbelievable. Two guys that have lived in this world for so long to have them (Tommy) open up and reveal their town and who they are to strangers that are equipped like a Marine raider detachment is bonkers. Joel was spit on this whole game which I would have been fine with if it was done better and in a more believable way. Then Abby... oh Abby, she is in fact “a piece of **** in regards to her writing. To have this plain revenge is bad story, but then to have a main protagonist, THE main protagonist feel no remorse for torturing and murdering doesn’t make sense. It would’ve been fine if she was just a plain antagonist but to have her kill a beloved character but then forced to feel sympathetic for is bs. I get it, their is no good or bad just people trying to survive and Joel was not a saint and to her he deserved it but they made us feel for him in the first game and we grew attached to him regardless of his choices which can’t be said for Abby. Throughout the game when it was made clear that you are made to feel for her and the writers shoving it in you’re face that they want you to love her, it ended up making her less likable due to the almost manipulative writing. Last for story/characters is Ellie who took a backseat in a narrative that is supposed to be about her. The cure and the virus is not even a minor plot point in this game, besides Ellie being immune. A seven year wait all to have this whole story arc get abandoned and traded with a generic revenge plot with a unsatisfying ending and focusing on new characters instead of Ellie is disappointing. The ending was a kick in the no-no square for us and Ellie. She throws her relationships in the bin, all for revenge but at the climax when she can finally achieve her goal she backs out and leaves us wondering what the hell was the point? Even though I dislike where they went with it is still well written for what they were going for and if you did like the story, awesome I’m glad you did it’s still a good game but for a narrative driven game it fell short for me. In regards to actual gameplay/graphics it is a blast to play and the best looking game on the PS4 especially on a 4K TV with HDR. If you loved the first one’s gameplay you will still love this one. Although it does lack innovation and any new major gameplay mechanics. The graphics is another story, the attention to detail is amazing, from the snow flakes to foot prints in the mud and snow the game is breathtaking and the graphics design and art team are among the best in the industry. Overall the game is good, it plays and looks like a next gen-title however for a narrative and character driven game this is were the game falls short. Even though the story was disappointing for me, like I said above, I still highly recommend playing. In regards to the threats and uncalled for comments towards voice actors and staff that made this game, in my opinion they are some of the best in the industry and none of them, no one for that matter deserve death threats for working out on a fictional story. If someone like Laura Bailey and the writers can make you feel that upset about a character that means they’re doing a damn good job. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game is good, but not what I expected. gameplay, graphics, combat, accessibility was perfect. Story and pasting wasn’t. I think playing as Abby is irrelevant, for me she wasn’t a well written character, her implementation in the game feels forced and fake, and I just feel that the gameplay throughout her part wasn’t a “the last of us” style for me it felt more like uncharted (more in the seraphite island). And I just kept wanting to go back to Ellie. And in general this game doesn’t feel like a The last of us. I’m ok with Joel’s death, but I really think Ellie should’ve avenge him at the end. Or they could’ve found some other way to justify her forgiving Abby at the end, maybe Lev saying “please stop” reminding Ellie what she went through. Idk I just keep thinking of a lot of ways they could’ve done the story better, but well, I think that’s a good thing because it keeps me thinking of it’s story. I understand what they were trying to do, but I couldn’t buy it at all even though I tried. It’s a good game but no 10/10. And no better than the first one. Expand

Great game. The story is very divisive and controversial to the gaming community, I personally didn’t mind how it all went down. I thought it was heartbreaking of a story to tell and ballsy narrative throughout from start to finish. The gameplay is amazing how the cinematic cutscenes blend with the impressive gameplay visuals that kept me on the edge of my seat when playing. Also, I foundGreat game. TLOU part 2 is really a very good game, the gameplay is improved compared to part 1, the sound in the game is very good, the graphics are very realistic and detailed, the plot a lot of people say is meaningless but for me then it conveyed a lot of meaningful messages, brought me a lot of emotions: happy, sad, angry, forgiving, merciful .... Playing to the end when I saw joel and I cried. 10/10

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Well, it all looks like a prank.
The game does not deserve such fate. Covid which led to delay, spoilers leak and so on...
And then, right after release, after MINUTES, the game got bombed with zeroes on metacritic... It is ridicilous. Really. You just red short review of the book and now think that you red and understand the whole book? LOL
BTW, the game is monumental. And the plot is one of the pros (not cons).
You really think that Druckmann ruined the franchise? Why? Because Abby led by the person holding the controller killed Joel? Wooo, Joel, how can he be wrong, he saved Ellie. And he was main protagonist of the first game. Yeah, that right. But Druckman did that risky step - he left player (Abby) to kill joel and then see why that happened. And... She got strong motivation to do that.
Now let's talk 'bout SJW and lesbians... I live in pretty homophobic country (Russia), but it does not make me homophobic. It was a bit cringy when player finds out Lev's secret (it should be introduced different way), but Ellie's love to girls is not surprizing - for me it was all well explained in left behind DLC. So, now lets criticize every piece of art with lesbian love included - woohoo, Mulholland Dr. is a complete trash.
I am really tired of writing all this already, so it looks like after few more lines i'll get exhausted. But f**k it, i'll continue.
The hole game is about empathy, forgiveness and cycle of violence. The game just lets you see the consequences of your actions (those actions are yours as well - you played as Joel in the first game).
When cricizing some parts of the plot (and especially ending), it looks like you guys lost CRITICAL parts of the story. And also - it is still new for players that some parts are not explained verbally - it's all about emotions, facial animations and even "acting by eyes". It is new for the industry since there are no games which are done on such hight level in terms of animation.
That's the reason why in some Nolan's movies some characters are only needed to expose the story. And BTW, some people still find Nolan's movies sophisiticated.

-Character diversity (making for an even MORE believable world)
-A plot hook that got me to CARE about the narrative
    -World lore absolutely everywhere

    Cons:
-Somewhat poor pacing through the story
-Unfortunate ending I was expecting more closure from
-An antagonist with no redeeming qualities (In my opinion, as I've heard mixed things about them)
-A segment of the game was kind of pointless and did not accomplish much (again, in my opinion)
-Gameplay identical the original game, with very little experimentation

TL;DR This game is worth a play if you liked the first one, but expect some... interesting approaches to story telling.

Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
