    I'm a huge fan of the first game, and part 2 is simply amazing and surpasses the first chapter in every possible way.
    Solid gameplay, incredible set pieces, beautiful maps and a mind boggling attention to details.
    NaughtyDog's trademark storytelling reaches new highs in this title, and despite the plot itself being pretty trivial (as it was in the first game), the way it's told and the    I'm a huge fan of the first game, and part 2 is simply amazing and surpasses the first chapter in every possible way.

    I just wanted to respond to all the people review bombing the game, I understand you didn't get the story you wanted. But it wasn't your story to tell in the first place. You're just a passenger. And giving a 0 to a technical/acting masterpiece just because you didn't get what you wanted is just plain stupid, be at least honest with yourself.

    Furthermore the first game lived in a morally grey area from the get go. If you ever thought Joel and Ellie were "good guys" you clearly have no idea what TLOU1 was about, and I kinda feel sorry for you.

    Also sexuality and woke themes aren't pushed in the slightest during the game so whoever still bring that up clearly have not played the game and just hopped on some hate bandwagon for the sake of being a miserable sad human being.

    I enjoyed every second of this game, even tho it's not a "fun" game, it's a game that pushes you to understand complex feeling, feeling you are forced to embrace even if you didn't want to, but that are never gratuitous or out of context. It's a mature game, and clearly there are a lot of gamers out there that do not have such maturity to even grasp the basic elements of it.

    This game is also not perfect and I would have liked a couple gameplay additions like a way to recall the horse or an attack from above tomb raider style.

    In the end I would give it a solid 9. But I will give it a 10 to make up for the embarrassment the hateful and ignorant part of the gaming community has brought to the table.    … Expand

    One of the greatest games I played in years, I will start with the graphics it's beautiful in every way, the design of levels and to how you can use it in exploring and combat situations, talking about the new combat system with the new dodging mechanism it's gives a way more depth, excitement and fun over the TLOU 1.
    Gameplay is always intense and let you sweat all the time, the game is    One of the greatest games I played in years, I will start with the graphics it's beautiful in every way, the design of levels and to how you can use it in exploring and combat situations, talking about the new combat system with the new dodging mechanism it's gives a way more depth, excitement and fun over the TLOU 1.
    Gameplay is always intense and let you sweat all the time, the game is So dark, So sad, So scary.
    The story is perfection, it's like a novel, you see every group of people and the suffer everyone is having, it's apocalyptic, everything in this game have a meaning the guitar, moth, tattoo, self-forgiveness, revenge and loosing who you love.
    In the end if you finished the game you will take sometime thinking and sorting things out.    … Expand

Por trás da história incrível, gráficos perfeitos e uma trilha-sonora perfeita, o jogo te faz entender cada NPC, faz você se questionar sobre quantas pessoas você matou no caminho e no fim, você está tão destruído quanto a Ellie. Para todos falando que o jogo seCompletamente diferente do jogo anterior, TLOU 2 foca em toda a experiência de entrar na personagem e se entender como jogador.     Just finished the game. I wouldn't say it's perfect but it sure is excellent. I played the first one and enjoyed it a lot. The sequel makes it justice in unexpected ways. It's a dark story but the way its told trough multiple characters is absolutely brilliant.

Sure story-wise they made some dumb decisions, and the marketing campaign for this game was a complete joke and mislead tons of fans, but the overall experience with this game was pretty solid. This is a game that's supposed to make you feel empty after playing. The visuals in this game are extremely realistic, from the facial expressions to the beautiful lighting. This game is a spectacle to behold. The gameplay is definitely better than its predecessor, and it's always a blast to engage different enemies through many different methods, from up close and personal to sneaking your way through the various situations. The voice acting is very superb, with everybody delivering great performances. Even though the story was very misleading via promotional material, I still really liked the narrative of the game. The game really plays with your emotions and really embraces the idea of points of view. The way it was executed was phenomenal. It makes actions you enjoyed making earlier in the game take a full 180. Overall, a great experience and a must play for all fans.… Expand

    Lived up to my expectations from the first game and I enjoyed every minute of the game play and story.
    I loved that you got to play both as Abby and Ellie, made the game ending much less predictable as I really cared for both of them in the end.
    Certainly A game for grown ups, especially those who are bored of predictable story lines. it's just a shame many kids don't get it.    … Expand

    It breaks my heart to see people smashing this game in its face with their horrible scores. I think your knowledge of level design comes from games like call of duty (a six hour long cash crap with no replay value). this game is a masterpieace, surely those who can't resonate with the plot have built up their understanding of story telling around trash like MCU. Would you rather play a battle royale game for hundreds of hours or give this game a chance to change your way of thinking with its mind-blowing story? A story i bet you havent even got to the first 2 hours and then came here and put these shamefull scores on metacritic. People who are extremely talented have worked on this game for more than 5 years, hours and hours of hard work and i cant even begin to imagine how disappointed they might feel after seeing these scores. If any of them is reading this i have to say that you guys are first in the line in game making industry, you are the voice of we, the gamers who are tryin to tell the world that game design is pure art.     One of the Best games I ever Played. I don't like the First Part so much. But I really Love Part II. It's Amazing. The Graphic is Wonderful . And gameplay very better than Part one.

It's essentially one of the best thought-out story ever written in any form of media. Gameplay wise it has the same tone but it's much more evolved. The AI is vastly improved. I expect this will be my game of the year and may even be second most memorable game of the generation behind RDR2. It did something no game has ever done, the character switch half way through made me so mad I thought I was going to quit. After not long I liked Abby and was back on board. This was not like MGS2 like many are comparing it to, Raiden played much differently. After the first fewer hours on the ship that game nver won me back.

    My only complaints are that I felt like some of the traveling in Seattle was dragged out for too long and the disconnection between Abby and the WLF felt rushed. I cannot understand these low user scores, there's no way they played this incredible game.    … Expand

    An amazing game - with a story that drives real emotion into you. The gameplay is phenomenal and the graphics are insane. They told the story they wanted, maybe not necessarily what people wanted to see - but its without a doubt one of the best story telling in recent years.

    The game totally surpass the first part on every technical level. Best animations I ever have seen in a video game. The weapons are feeling amazing, a lot better from any game from the company. The settings are next level. There are so many options to create experience that is for your taste (on gameplay side). Absolutely 10 out of 10 on those.

    For the story, I will not say anything so I will not spoil. But if you enter the game open minded about it and let yourself to play and finish the entire game, it is absolute master piece. It is not fun, but it is not suppose to be. The arts are seeking emotion from the person, but not automatically joy. They have pushed the video games to the next level, making you feel angry, sad and many more at the same time. Even the negative reviews just shown how good they managed to control the emotions of people, making them feel exactly how they wanted people to feel.     The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
