    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Besides the amazing graphics, music and gameplay, this game had a lot to say. It showed how Ellie’s obsession with avenging Joel’s death took everything from her, her family, her friends, her humanity. It teaches you to have empathy and forgiveness, to see that everyone, no matter what they’ve done or how much they might have hurt you, they’re human with a story and people they love. It teaches you to move on and not to let the past restrict you from living in the present. Truly a phenomenal game, that toys with your emotions and makes you see how unhealthy grudges are and what grief can do to you.… Expand

    This game is one of the best games I have ever played in my life, it made me have most of the feelings, the story is incredible, the gameplay is great, and the graphics are certainly the best of the generation. When the game was over I was left with a void inside me, this game deserves all the best, Neil Druckmann's team, and the director himself, deserves a standing ovation. Incredible Game!

    Game of the year - for sure. Beautiful, perfect gameplay and a story that - sorry to the critics - has no holes if you pay attention. It's a very well-constructed narrative circle - the plot choices make perfect sense with the story being told. Sometimes it runs away from the commonplace and always keeps you in expectation or ally with the character with which you play.

    And the graphics    Game of the year - for sure. Beautiful, perfect gameplay and a story that - sorry to the critics - has no holes if you pay attention. Sometimes it runs away from the commonplace and always keeps you in expectation or ally with the character with which you play.

    And the graphics close the generation with a bang. What a visual experience!

    In certain games I understand the bulk of the criticism, but most of the ones here are almost always oriented to choices that say much more about the moralist or conservative view of the critic than about the game itself.

    I thoroughly enjoyed the journey this game took me on, subverting m expectations and shifting my perceptions and perspective constantly. It challenges so many stereotypes of not only the gaming industry but society itself with its brilliantly written representation within loveable and complex characters.     В Last of Us 2 просто приятно играть и в ней находится во всех планах... Как по мне то это офигенное продолжение, в котором разработчик дал то что было в 1 части но помноженное на два, с парой незначительных спорных моментов.

I wish Joel’s death was handled better but I guess I am fine with it. But I loved Ellie’s revenge quest. Also, I loved Abby’s parts and I eventually began to like her. Their stories are very similar and you can see the parallels between them in the end. I hope we see more of Abby and Lev.… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I thought this game was downright brilliant, and I don’t understand why people would give it a 1/10, or a 0/10 Even if they didn’t like the story. *spoilers*

    First of all, the graphics are by FAR the best graphics we’ve had in a game so far, and there is so much attention to detail hidden within it (blood stays on your foot and you see blood in snow from where you step, wind movements, tree leaves following you as you walk through them). The graphics, and attention to detail alone makes it at least a 4/10 for me. Second of all, the story. The story shows struggles of grief, consequences on ones own actions, and the building of guilt that leaves the player with those same feelings. I was in shock after Joel’s death. I was angry, and thought “wait, that doesn’t make sense, Joel would never do anything to get himself into that type of situation” but after following the story some more, and ACTUALLY thinking about it, it makes perfect sense. Through Joel’s whole life post-breakout he’s been surviving, struggling with his own depression, and killing anyone he had to. But after he got to Jackson, he was only ever around people he loved. His brother, Ellie, Maria, etc,. He was comfortable, and that made him soft. And, may I say, of COURSE he would die in a humiliating, and gruesome fashion!! He killed Abbys father, the ONE man in the world who could have created a vaccine, for the ENTIRE HUMAN RACE!! And you guys are crying because “oh Joel didn’t deserve such a mean sad death :((( 1/10” god damn, YES HE DID!! And, to the last thing that people are “upset” about. The ending. Ellie finally catches up to Abby, and has a chance to kill her, but doesn’t. Why? Two reasons (in my opinion)

    Abby and Lev are parallel to Ellie and Joel in the first game. They travel alone, trying to get to safety, taking care of each other, while slowly learning to like each other, and keep each other safe. Hell, at the end, Abby is carrying Lev the EXACT same way Joel was carrying Ellie out of the hospital. I think Ellie knew that if she killed Abby there, then this would just be a cycle that never ends. Revenge, and murder. She kills Abby, Lev kills Ellie, etc,.
    And also: Because she knew it wouldn’t make anything better. Never for a moment did Ellie get a chance to actually mourn Joel. Right after Joel died, she immediately was en route to Seattle, fighting through hordes of enemies, hunting people down, dealing with another loss, and then going right into raising a child. Ellie thought at the beginning, “I’m gonna find and kill ever last one of them”, but after killing a few all she started thinking afterwards was “I just have to kill Abby, then I’ll go”. She had such a gruesome amount of guilt after every single kill that she just wanted to get it over with. So, at the end, when she was drowning Abby, she realized that she wasn’t feeling better, she still felt that guilt, and pain. Then she thought of her and Joel’s last conversation. The conversation of forgiveness. (Why did she have this flash back? Was she thinking of what Abby and Levs last conversation was like? Or was she trying to pick up on her and Joel’s last thought, which was, learning to forgive. Maybe both?) After this flashback, she lets Abby go, trying to forgive. Maybe not so much Abby, but more so herself. That’s something I’m still interpreting myself.    … Expand

    It took me about 30 hours to beat this game and it was hard to not be able to play it all in one sitting. This is a piece of art that will define the next few years of gaming just like the first one did. The story rips out your heart and also mends it together...by the end you’re left with an empty hole and the feeling of wanting to play more. But after taking a leap of faith i did and i don't regret it a single bit. This game was 100/10 for me.

    This game had be scared, worried, devastated, happy, emotional, sympathetic, guilty and completely broken and many other feeling i cant put into words. I hated some part i loved some parts but the way the story is being told and how well its written is mind blowing. I see a lot of people hate on this game and honestly while playing i was one of them, but the way they break you and then give you closure is something on a whole another level.

    Game play is absolutely mind blowing, they did a very good job of improving from the previous game. Some old mechanics are also improved and overall the game feel more dynamic on how you can do thing and engage enemies.

    The story is something that a lot of people are hating specially last of us fans. But in order to feel more than hate you have to connect to the characters in a deeper level. I also hate some characters because of the story but particularly connecting to Ellie is the goal, if you want to understand the beauty of the game. Spoiler: I cried before Ellie started crying at a point and i am not the kind of guy that cries at anything, that is how beautiful the story is written, Also the games story has a big impact from the previous game so definitely recommend refreshing that before playing this.

    Characters were a mix for me. The original characters were written very well especially Ellie and Joel, but other characters had some poor energy with the game.But the development of the characters were pretty good if i am being honest. its just the characters without development were just a bit off. Also the story for Abby was not very strong unless you understand a few things about her. Her story was a bit weak but the development makes up for that. Also her motivation was not that appealing to me.

    All in all this game is master piece and i can't hate it, even though i want to very much. Just a heads up i didn't get a good night sleep after some traumas in the game. Its not for the weak hearted and definitely do not recommend for people suffering from depression. But its a beauty that need praise.    … Expand

Los gráficos son muy buenos. La muerte de Joel, fue algo muy fuerte, siendo el protagonista del primer título; aún así nos mostró al verdadero Joel, que aunque teniendo una horda de zombies, el ayuda a Abby, una desconocida; Protege a Ellie, que es como su hija. Bueno con su muerte, me dio a entender que se fue del mundo apocalíptico, estando en un lugar mejor con su hija, reencontrandose. Respecto a vengarse, ninguna de las dos protagonistas salió victoriosa, perdiendo amigos y familia, demostrando que la venganza no es buena. Tiene una buena inclusión, que parece forzada pero no lo es (además de la parte 1, ya se nos mostró eso), ya que es solo tu preferencia, demostrando amor en un mundo repleto de monstruosidades.… Expand

A mensagem que o jogo quer passar é incrível, as pessoas precisam se atentar aos detalhes dessa obra, o final não é o que você imagina ao jogar e isso foi excelente, quebrou o clichê clássico de vingança e soube fazer com que os jogadores se emocionassem com os personagens, somente a morte de joel devia ter sido trabalhada melhor mas no geral principalmente pela jogabilidade, cenários, gráficos, realismo e expressões faciais nunca vistas antes em um jogo o colocam em um novo patamar em nossa geração .… Expand

    When I got the game I didn’t even play part 1 yet. And let me tell u. This was a great game.!! I did go back and play part 1 because kinda felt like I was missing something. But if I had two choose. Part 2 was way better.. the battles. The people. Abby. Play the game first before u judge. Great game. And I hope a part 3 comes out.

    One of the best games i have ever played. To rate it this low because you dont belive in the story makes no sense. There Can be no argument this is still a great story, gripping and tense. And the fact that ii can cause outrage like this just proves it’s a 10. They made all of you feel something. That is what gaming is about, even if That feeling is anger or sadness.

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
