    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I must be honest here. I have never been THAT emotional in a game before. There are certain points in the game where it just hits you really hard and you see things you expected the least. I can understand why people would give the game a low rating though - when we see that Abby kills Joel we start hating her and that's all we think about (which is exactly what's supposed to happen).. But the deeper we go into the game, the more we understand Abby's side of the situation. Joel not only took the cure from the whole world, but also killed Abby's father. Still, I don't think Joel deserves to die (at least not like he did), because after all, he saved Ellie and I understand that. His daughter is dead, and Ellie reminds him of her a lot, and it's pretty obvious why he would want to save her. Both Ellie and Abby search for vengeance, and they both hurt until they get what they want. Ellie was having nightmares ever since Joel was killed and she is mad and can't let go of it until she kills Abby. She searches for her, and on the way kills basically all of her friends. For that reason, Abby also wants to kill Ellie. Understandable. So basically what I'm saying is that neither of them are right, nor they are wrong. The game isn't all black and white and you can't really choose a side. You have to see the whole picture to understand the situation. I am really sad though about the fact that Ellie just left Dina and their child, who are literally her family, and just went after her revenge again. Thus, I demand a DLC where Ellie comes to Dina and everything goes back to normal.
    The game kicks you hard, lets you relax, and then kicks you harder. It is a must play but remember to look from different perspectives or else you'll basically hate the second part of the game.    … Expand

    An diesem Spiel ist alles grandios, man muss sich nur darauf einlassen wollen. Sobald man sich vor der Story verschließt kommt es einem unglaublich enttäuschend vor.

    We saw in the story the 2 sides of this 2 girls and we can feel the emotions of the characters.
    Just thank you naughty dog for this amazing game.

    Very beautiful game!!
    The story is incredible and full of nice feelings and moments. Of course there is a lot of violence and gore. Very cool and very "now" game.

    I cannot believe how low the user score is. I find this game amazing. I breaks new ground on every front. The graphics, music, story, emotional depth, how expressive the characters are and how subtle the facial expressions convey emotions. I have never seen this in a game before. It is just unique. Sure, it will take a bit of emotional maturity to fully appreciate it as the game does notI cannot believe how low the user score is. I find this game amazing. I breaks new ground on every front. Its a game good in technical aspects, so I will just take on history aspects: Its a deep story, it's not about revenge, revenge is the plot which is used to create the story, which is all about the characters, their moralities and the consequences of these conflicting, about growth, about loss, about tragedy It shows us a villain murdering in cold blood our favorite character, and it makes us hate Abby, and sets us players on the same revenge quest as Ellie. Everything flows like a normal story and then it comes to a moment where they put into Abby's shoes, almost everyone hated being put in that place, but after a few hours, many players, myself including, stop hating Abby that much and see how she is an actual person with a good heart and how she suffered, and how everything that happened to her, the death of the fireflies and her death lead a good person to commit horrific actions, like killing Joe, which she, later on, realizes that it didn't bring any pleasure, it didn't fulfill the emptiness that she was left with after her Dads death, who in the end was just tryna save the world. her vengeance only brought tragedy and pain, her friends died bc of it, and she goes after Ellie, tries to kill her but stops when she had the chance, bc she knew nothing good would become out of it, this was only possible bc Abby was no longer the ruined and devastated monster we saw, she went back to being a good person bc of two kids who saved her life with who she felt compassion and created a bond, willing to abandon everything she had for them "you are my people" she said to Lev, she abandoned the wolves, I cause she was fighting for even though not believing in them truly. She simply needed something to fight for. All her friends were killed, her love, her pregnant friend, for the "daughter"/friend of the guy she killed for killing her father, she had the chance to finish Ellie Dina and Tommy and she was gonna do it bc of all the rage she had within her, but Lev suddenly stops and then the good person in her kicks in her, she realizes that that would never change things and she goes away, now that's character growth Abby is Like Joel, a good person doing horrible things because of a tragedy in the past, and a kid changes her for the better again... Abby's revenge quest is also similar to Ellie's, with the difference that Abby, lost way more than Ellie they are all good people doing or that did horrible stuff The game doesn't want to forcibly like Abby but to at least understand that she is also human and that there's no right or wrong in this situation Then Ellie years after is presented with the opportunity of getting her revenge, and she doesn't get herself to do it because she realized what Abbie realized way sooner than her, and that's why Abby didn't want to fight either... Ellie loses everything and is devastated, all she went through was not worth it even by killing Abby, she lost friends, her life with Dina, she did horrible feelings she regretted it, all in the desperation of trying to fulfill the emptiness and the trauma she was not able to live with. and we, in the end, find out that Ellie didn't simply want revenge for joe, she had finally given the chance to Joe, for them to rebuild their relation, and she lost it right in front of her eyes. It's a sad story with no conclusive ending, it's supposed to leave u thinking and as devastated as Ellie, its powerfully emotional, and tries to get out of all types of clichés by trying to focus the story on different aspects like morality, humanity, emotions, characters, their growth, consequences of the conflict between those characters and much more, it's not about a clear objective, it's about these things

Но после прохождения TLOU2 я понял, что в ней нет ни одного однозначно плохого или однозначно хорошего персонажа, в этой игре нет "злодеев" и "добрых". И это реально меня удивило! В общем, сюжет мне понравился. Я бы рассказал подобнее, но это уже спойлеры..

    Из минусов - не удобный выбор оружия при беге. В первой части это было не так критично потому, что Джоэл был намного медленнее Элли.

    Игру прошёл за 24 часа. И в планах пройти Новую Игру +    … Expand

    the game is an absolute masterpiece one of the best games ever made im sorry but people are crazy for saying this game is bad because of the story it’s actually amazing in every way the story is dark and a bit depressing to be honest but still one of the best experiences ever.

Um dos melhores jogos que já joguei nesta geração com toda certeza.Dou essa nota por causa do seu gameplay e seu gráfico que está impecável, inteligência artificial dos inimigos dispensa comentários.Sobre o enredo,de uma nota geral eu dou 9.0,pois teve alguns furos que acho que poderiam ter sido resolvidos de forma mais "limpa",a morte do Joel poderia ser melhor, não no quesito de "ter uma morte digna" apesar de que estamos falando da morte em um mundo que está completamente destruído e isso não acaba de uma forma boa,sobre a "vilã" Abby eu confesso que o jogo me impactou com ódio por ela no começo e isso se intensifica no enredo da Ellie caçando a WLF.Logo o jogo nos colocar na pele de Abby me causou desconforto e raiva mas dei uma segunda chance e logo quando o enredo se desenrolava criei uma certa empatia pela personagem me causando por geral confusão e incerteza pelo clímax entre as duas personagens.A batalha entre as duas personagens foi muito impactante e no fim gerou alívio e decepção.o enredo se encerra bem deixando claro que não existe vilão/herói nessa história, apenas pessoas que estão tentando sobreviver e largar seus fantasmas do passado.vingança é um ciclo sem fim e é oq estamos fadados ao sofrimento.concerteza esse jogo fechou com chave de ouro a 8° geração de videogames e como não é assim que vemos enredos bem construídos e com gameplay assustador merece com toda certeza o G.O.T.Y. 2020 ;)… Expand

    The game is the the logical continuation of the first part. It doesn't show you the story, it makes you feel it. They take the decision of Joel in part 1 and develop consequences that are painfully realistic in this world.
    They show Joel as what he is, a flawed, traumatized human that made a controversial decision and is full of love, which makes you love him even more than after part 1.     It's a highly emotional game, you'll feel annoyed, angry, sad and disgusted and if you care for Ellie and Joel, you will feel so bad and soooo good.
    You could give a 9/10 because it's long, like really long and it makes you feel it, but they want you to feel like this because the characters feel like it, too. The Story need you to feel like this.
    It's truly amazing, I never played a game like this before. .... I wrote an essay about it, not because I had to, because I needed to deal with my emotions and thoughts! I highly recommend everyone to play and experience it .    … Expand

    This game capitalises on everything that was good about number one and adds so much on top. Makes you feel emotions for characters that you initially hate. People hating on this game are generally homophobic, transphobic or just can’t deal with deaths on main characters in video games (which to me are very necessary deaths as it adds to the realism; your favourite people irl aren’t just going to survive just because you like them). It is terrifying, beautiful, the gameplay is amazing, the AI is ridiculously clever. I loved Abby and Lev’s relationship, the ending was perfect and left me very satisfied but also hoping for more stories in this universe. Naughty dog really have outdone themselves with this game and I truly hope they ignore what most backwards people are saying about it.    … Expand

    I have no idea where these incredibly negative reviews are coming from, this is an outstanding sequel.It's the game they absolutely had to make and the story they had to tell and I'm so glad they had the freedom to tell it, here's hoping there's a Part III!

    The game is actually fantastic with a captivating story that takes bold risks with new, and uniquely written characters. The gameplay is smooth and overall it plunges you into its world just strongly, if not better than the first game. The art direction is stellar as usual especially with the stellar OnePixelBrush offering extra juicy concept art.     Excellent game play, story is stellar, don't listen to the blind hatred of a bunch of sour people. They took chances and to me those chances paid off. Highly recommend, just as good as the first.

    Absolutely loving this game. Gave it a ten to counter all the hate it's been receiving. This game has really showed me how much hate their still is in the world. Both in the game itself and the hate it has received. People need to open their minds. Amazing game a must play for anyone.

    This is a mind blowing game for the full 28 hours that I invested. Having played the Last of Us part I 4 years ago I was really looking forward to this game and Naughty Dog delivered massively.

    Again the storyline was sublime, it was a rollercoaster ride from love to revenge and from self hatred towards pity for your opponents. How this game makes you as a player part of the story is    This is a mind blowing game for the full 28 hours that I invested. Having played the Last of Us part I 4 years ago I was really looking forward to this game and Naughty Dog delivered massively.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Very enjoyable follow up, this is a game that will mature even more with time. Looking forward to Abby and Ellie getting back together at some stage as I think the next one will be all about the cure,

    Fireflies will have found a new doctor able to create a vaccine.

    Good game and amazed at the amount of reviews scores of 0 or roundabout that are posted on the release date. It's a shame, this game is not what I expected with regards the story and I was sad to loose Joel early, but I kept an open mind and heart to the story and thoroughly enjoyed it.

    There are many plot holes in the first story too and to name a few - why drive through the town instead of backing up and finding another route even if it means walking - Joel would know what to expect? Joel and Tommy following Ellie's horse track through an enemy compound and she is not attacked or captured but they are attacked by 8 plus enemies? Tommy's compound is conveniently attacked just as Joel is talking about Ellie? Why rush the surgery, a surgeon not bothered about patient consent?

    I guess people see through different lenses when upset and I can see and respect why some are not happy with this story line. This game is not a 0 or 2 if you don't like the story because you loved part 1 so much you are offended by the path taken by the writers, just for quality, acting and sound it is a 5 minimum.     The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
