    Please don't let the negative reviews put you off, don't deny yourself this utterly jaw dropping game.

    After reading some spoilers from the leak before release, I wasn't even going to buy the game. I read reviews from people who couldn't have finished the game, there were 100's of them all before 12 hrs after release.     I read reviews from people who couldn't have finished the game, there were 100's of them all before 12 hrs after release.

    All I can say is people are dicks, this is a game of a generation, what Naughty Dog have done with the ps4 hardware is nothing short of magnificent, it is one of the best looking games ever produced on any platform.

    I am a pc gamer with an rtx 2080ti and have seen nothing like the quality of this, how it has been done I have no idea.

    If you liked the last of us, you will love this.

    People have picked holes in the story, review bombed it, made it sound like it's a woke, transgender fan film.
    The story is deep, thrilling and engaging and none of the above. it's smart, slick and thought provoking just like the original.
    I can't tell how much you need to play this game, if you haven't already.
    I think it would be impossible to get the same reaction as the first game as it was so original and caught many, including myself unawares and blew us away.
    We all expected so much from Naughty Dog this time and they have not let us down.    … Expand

    Best game to date I loved it I didn’t like watching Joel die but I’ll take it I generally thought the game was great and they’ll never be a good story like it Naughty Dog did their thing and outperformed I appreciate everyone that was part of this games creation very beautiful.     This game is really good, it have a 10/10 gameplay and is beautiful to see, plus it has a great story 8,5/10, I played the first teh last of us and I was such a good game, and I love how they created not a Giant cliche, but created a new story and to compensate the fact that the game wasn't like the first one they added the flashback, this game is soo good, but you have to play with an open mind.

    10/10 game. Story is amazing, in a gut-wrenching way, like LoU1. Many VERY intense moments which will leave a lingering memory. Well worth the 60 dollars.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Well, I finished it yesterday and I have to say that I loved it, very much, the end left me quite touched, it is quite hard. Those who say it is a happy ending, I honestly do not know where they see the happy. Ellie loses everything.
    The negative reviews are good, in all the games there are, but you don't have to take seriously that of the typical people who attack you for homosexuality, or for the fact that Joel dies and Abby ends the story alive. In fact, most of the negative reviews are from the 4 typical fools who have simply read the story without having played it.
    The story itself is very good, FOR ME, if you don't like it, it's your **** problem.
    I understand that Abby has hate, I also hated her at first and she is a difficult character to understand, but as you start playing with you you start to like her and get interested in her story and what happened in those 4 days in Seattle.

    This game is a masterpiece. Because of this game we get to feel how Joel's actions in the previous game affected the world and the lives of others. The game doesn't tell you the reasons why anything in it happens, but rather it shows it and makes you feel it, that is something else. No game has ever touched me more than this one.

    Loved the story and gameplay. Its a game I will always remember. I also stayed away from the spoilers which seemed to ruin the game for a lot of people.

    Spent 40 hours to finish this game, it has impressive graphic, outstanding gameplays and amazing animations. The story is controversial but I like it.

    Wonderful game from start to finish. No matter what people say that it is trash it is definitely not. Yes some things happened that sucked but that is why it's a game. It keeps you guessing and wanting more. I see nothing but game of the year in my opinion and thank you Naughty Dog. Job well done!!!

    I just think the game is such a wonderful thing it has its mistakes like everything but i won't get disgusted at a game that i loved so much. Enjoy people and don't let others ruin your experience.

When you get past the babies whining about the game online, what you're left with is a solid game. Great gameplay and mechanics, stunning visuals, a good score, and a very engaging albeit controversial story.

The game in its gameplay and the entire technical system is 10, in its history I loved it, not being afraid to kill its protagonist, putting yourself in the place of the "villain" and knowing his motives and life, for some moments I came to empathize with Abby, but always keeping in mind that she was Joel's murderer, it shows us that not because we love someone is she necessarily good, we love Joel and Ellie a lot, but being objective, they are bad people, Joel above all, demonstrating her selfishness above all and not respecting Ellie's decision, moved me a lot and made me feel very human… Expand

    Don't believe all the hate and play this game for yourself. You won't regret it. I had some of the plot points spoiled for me and came into it expecting one thing and was completely floored with what I experienced. When the final credits rolled I was speechless.     This is hands down my favourite experience of the PS4 generation. The game uses the incredibly important narrative decision made by the lead in the first game to create compelling analysis of morality. I laughed, cried and was shook to my core by this story. It was an incredibly brave move to have us empathise with the character we looked at as the villain from the outset of this journeyThis is hands down my favourite experience of the PS4 generation. It was an incredibly brave move to have us empathise with the character we looked at as the villain from the outset of this journey and while it's not a "perfect game" - something that doesn't exist - it is a masterpiece in empathy & understanding in storytelling.

    I really can't wait for an inevitable TLOU 3 and hopefully the continuation/conclusion of Ellies journey. This game will live with me, inside my psyche for the rest of my life.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. There is no other word to describe The Last of Us part 2 but masterpiece, this isn’t just a game it is an experience. I am a massive fan of the original and this sequel builds on every aspect of the original. The gameplay - Solid controls and character manoeuvrability, everything works as it should and no frustratingly awkward controls like some 3rd person games. All game mechanics are simply to learn and after a few minutes you will get the hang of them. Ellie can now swim, go prone and jump freely unlike the original game. My only gripe with the gameplay was the boating sections, the controls felt tight and these section albeit small felt tacked on but this is a minor gripe. The graphics- Easily the best this generation, the character models are amazing and you could remove the HUD and think it was a CG movie. The environments are beautifully dirty gritty and realistic. The game never stutters, never loads and the cutscenes blend into gameplay seamlessly. This game pushes the PS4 to its limits. The story - Here is were a lot of people drop off and start to hate on this game. Personally I really loved it, it was epic, massive and you really felt the slog that these characters go through over the course of the few days. All the characters were fully realised and their decisions IMO were justified and I really understood what the game developers were going for with this story. I think people forget that this is a post apocalyptic bleak world full of monsters, horrific people and dredd. How could anyone possibly be able to put themselves in the players shoes and criticise their decisions. Yes this story has LGBT elements and a very minor transgender diversion for one character but all in all it is handled well and fair play to Naughty Dog for adding this much diversity to such a AAA game title. The Good - - an amazing epic story that sucks you in and takes you on a journey with each of the characters. - beautifully fully realised world
    - stunning set pieces - game runs buttery smooth - percent controls The Bad -
    - the game does drag in a few sections - the game rushes a few parts to get you from A to B - Joel doesn’t get as much attention as he deserves.
    - very linear levels, they feel big but there isn’t much room to explore. The Ugly - - the last couple hours feel that they were slightly rushed as the first 90% of the game takes place over 3 days yet the last 10% takes place over 1-2 years yet is glazed over. In conclusion I think everyone should experience TLOU2 it is a superb title and a worthy sequel to the original. The developers took a chance with a bold story they could of easily if rehashed the first game and it would of still sold amazingly but they chose to give us something new.    … Expand

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
