    This game raises the bar for the entire industry for its phenomenal storytelling. Having completed my second playthrough I can say with confidence that this game truly is a masterpiece.

    People give this game a lot of slack, but I have to say I really enjoyed it. In fact, I enjoyed it way better than the first. As depressing as this story was, it shows you how crooked humanity is.. Humans being the core problem, even more than the virus and enemies itself. If the world really had a disaster such as this, I genuinely believe this would be the outcome. Humans killing eachPeople give this game a lot of slack, but I have to say I really enjoyed it. In fact, I enjoyed it way better than the first. As depressing as this story was, it shows you how crooked humanity is.. Humans being the core problem, even more than the virus and enemies itself. If the world really had a disaster such as this, I genuinely believe this would be the outcome. Humans killing each other off one by one, battling for power, not having empathy, and not caring who they destroyed in their path.

    I haven't played a game as immersive as this since the last of us 1. This game took me on a roller coaster of emotions. From shouting at the tv, to crying like a baby. With gaming being centered around paywalls and microtransactions, I can really appreciate the effort that was put into creating this. The story from start to ending, I loved, as frustrating of an experience as it was. Bravo to Naughty Dog    … Expand

    Ignore the haters/dummies... This game was completely engrossing from start to finish. Such a deep story line that keeps you questioning just about everything that you see and do. Please keep this quality up Naughty Dog. A masterpiece in art/story/gaming.

    The game had a message to say and said it perfectly. The only way you can understand the message it's if you have empaty and maturity. Even if you don't like the story, you may like the way it have been told, really accurate. Besides the main story, it has incredible facials expressions, incredible graphics and smooth movements.     The game is phenomenal. Bought it digitally on launch and loved it from start to finish. Most of the hate I've seen online seems to be coming from incels and misogynists.

    Stealth game play is wonderfully fluid and the graphics were nerdgasmic on my OLED. Never seen a game look so good, even on my gaming PC. Truly a technical marvel.

    PS4’s swan song and one of the best games ever made IMO. The atmosphere, tension, narrative and attention to detail is one that is rarely seen in video games. I can understand that some story points might not resonate with everyone but I thought it was amazing. Can’t wait to play this on 4K (hopefully 60 fps) on the PS5. Thank you Naughty Dog.

    I know a lot of people got angry at the loss in the beginning of the game, also at the fact that the game had more than one story arc, forcing the player to abandon their favorite character for some time. But one.of the deaths caused by Joe on the first game did always strike me as very absurd and gratuitous, something unnecessary that harmed humanity more than getting Ellie out of the building. This didn't made me dislike Joe, but made me question his decisions. Having this decision to bear such dramatic consequences on the second game was one of the marks that made LOU2 a more mature and deep game than the first one. The first was like a road movie with less definite villains, the second like a revenge movie with hateful villains. LOU2 made the players understand that everybody had unacceptable losses in a destroyed world with a broken society where the strongest and first to attack had, most of the times, higher chances to keep on going with their lives. In the end, Joe didn't have to die, but also didn't have to kill a skilled doctor in a world without even unskilled doctors to begin with. That doctor could still work on a cure without Ellie, and no revenge would be needed, and no new revenge would come after the first. But, then, we wouldn't have a game to play and talk about. In the end, LOU2 is mature, have an engaging story, and characters that you first have to make an effort not to hate, then you learn to forgive when you empathize with their losses, and then you learn to care about and root for them. On both sides. Not everything is perfect, of course, but the game didn't deserve the review bombing it took. I bought it on pre-sale, something that I rarely do, and probably got the best value I had from a pre-sale game in my entire run with the PS4 and Xbox, since I have both platforms. Highly recommended a completely enjoyable is you're willing to play it with maturity and empathy for all characters.… Expand

I played around 23 hours and as a huge fan that completed the last of us part 1 I was like "maybe a 6/7 out of 10" and that was mostly because I felt the story was drawn out and Long. Because the attention to details are so impressive that event though Combat hasnt changed that much IT feels so much fluid and intuative. But things made sense in the end.     Definitely don't think all games need to be this dark, but I wouldn't mind if more examined the mental consequences of killing.

    Excellent game. For me, best game I've ever played (but I know this part about "best" is related to opinion).

    But about the game, is amazing. The story, the mixed feelings, the emotions, the tension and the relaxing moments. Also, very good attention to details, colours, shadows and every technical stuff. Of course there are bugs, as any big software has. You can argument if it is    Excellent game. For me, best game I've ever played (but I know this part about "best" is related to opinion).

    But about the game, is amazing. The story, the mixed feelings, the emotions, the tension and the relaxing moments. Also, very good attention to details, colours, shadows and every technical stuff.

    Of course there are bugs, as any big software has.

    You can argument if it is above expectations or masterpiece, but there ir no way it is a 0-to-6 score. All those low notes is only biased by appartment-boys that's only Marvel's fan where everything is predictable, where revenge is successful and men are the heroes. And of course, happy endings.

    I write my review after the second pass and here's what I think: This game is definitely not possible to pass on you tube, as it seems to me many did and spoiled themselves absolutely all the impressions.
    ! Graphics - what gives PS 4 is incredible.
    ! Gameplay - it overgrown with new chips and this was enough to hook me and make me replay the game. ! Soundtrack - I listen to it    I write my review after the second pass and here's what I think: This game is definitely not possible to pass on you tube, as it seems to me many did and spoiled themselves absolutely all the impressions.

    I think people review bombing the game aren’t looking at the full scope, or maybe haven’t even completed the game. I personally loved the first game and the second was better in the gameplay and graphics department obviously, but I also though the story was equally as strong.

It channels the full gamut of human motion, challenges your thinking and morals, and is still totally badass and a **** of fun. Could not recommend more highly, or praise more thoroughly. A MASTERPIECE of gameplay, storytelling, and graphics to top it off.A game that can not easily be summarized, and, in my opinion, transcends beyond the realm of being simply a “game”.     The game is not flawless, but despite it's flaws it parallels the impact of the first. The game is a masterpiece, an unexpected sequel with an unexpected story to go along with it. It is mature, justified, and forces you to think outside of your own comfort zones.

I get that art is subjective so maybe this story isn’t for everyone BUT for me personally this game was incredible. Like most I HATED Abby for what she did but once you find out her reasoning it seemed justified. The game is dark and twisted and you have to know that going into it. There are some fair criticism to the game and some that are not fair at all. This game worked for me. The story. How it was told. The ending. The characters all set the bar high for me. If you’re a fan of the first one like I am play this one. You won’t regret it.… Expand

    Este juego demuestra de manera muy audaz nuestra propia naturaleza como seres humanos, de lo rencorosos que podemos ser y de cómo la obsesion nos puede destruir. La forma en cómo lleva la historia hace que nos metamos completamente en ella y queramos acompañar a las protagonistas en su viaje por este mundo cruel.     I start by saying that the only BIG problem that this game has (for me) is that of be unplayable without having played the first chapter. In fact this game is perfect from every other point of view: storyline, characters development, GRAPHIC (that probably will be hard to overtake even during the next gen), settings, and I could go on and on. Concluding I want to say that even if this game does not liked you, you cannot give it less then 7/8, even just for the technical sector. So I hope that all those zeroes I saw with horror were made by mindless people who were just angry because their favorite character is died. but this is not a smart reason to give zero to a game of 10. You’re just an idiot. Last thing I want to say thank you to noughty dog also and above all for the courage they took making this game knowing that only if you are clever, you can appreciate this immense work, and most of all knowing from the start that most of the people who would play it then are still very stupid, having however continued the making of the game and thank god I loved it, maybe even more than the last of us 1.… Expand

    Perfect mix of story and excitement! The twists and turns will keep you engaged. The battles, while frequent, do not feel repetitive and are short enough to still seem interesting.

    I enjoyed this game, from the beautiful world to the intense and brutal fights. This game captures you completely and keeps you playing. Its one of the greats. Its a sad and gut punching story. And obviously not for anyone who worships Disney endings. But a great story at that.

    As a fan of the original, I am very much liking this one as well. Everything I loved about the first game is present here. These are some of the most beautiful, most detailed environments I’ve ever seen in a video game. The performance capture and writing is excellent, and the story swings between brutal lows and genuinely sweet highs.

    I think all the hate is overblown and unwarranted. You may not be fond of the story and I understand. But from my play-through, the gameplay and combat was fantastic. i liked the story and they really didn't meant to be sympathetic to abby, they just wanted you to understand from another perspective, and I did. One of the best games of 2020 in my honest opinion.

    I have been waiting for 7 years to play this and i have to say that when i started TLOU II, my first impresion wasn't the best as a first look. But the game and history started to flow, and that didn,t stop until the end. In terms of grafics and desing maybe there are parts in which RDR 2 can compete, although in action and cinematics is outstanding, it really feels like a movie (in theI have been waiting for 7 years to play this and i have to say that when i started TLOU II, my first impresion wasn't the best as a first look. In terms of grafics and desing maybe there are parts in which RDR 2 can compete, although in action and cinematics is outstanding, it really feels like a movie (in the good sense) there no much diference between a cinematic or a fight encounter, is amazing. In terms of gameplay the mechanics evolve (there are some really nice adds and improvement), is not a revolution but as I say before it is as perfect as playing a movie. Now we are gonna talk about the history, without spoilers. As i was playing the game i was really enjoying the history, the scenes, etc. I expect something really diferent, but i think that this story is amazing. The important thing i expect that will be main point in TLOU II history apears in the game, but is not based in that, and that's because this history is more complex, it talks about really diferent things and is more brutal than the first. I think is like you are watching Netflix and this game is one or two seasons of a serie. Some many things happends, some of them maybe more important but it could be the best story i have ever played in a videogame. When i finished and i saw opinions like it is a terrible history i couldn't believe it. I think that ND didn't want to do a history for everybody, maybe this history isn't for you, but if you enter in the flow of TLOU II, it will be one of yout best videogames experiences.… Expand

And felt longing. I felt pain, frustration, insecurity, hopelessness, desperation, sadness, the list continues. But when this game was most powerful was when it made me cry. In this game however, each death carries weight and slowly chips away at your humanity and sanity. I’ve never felt so emotionally drained and exhausted after an hour long session, not really wanting to pick the controller back up. But I did. I kept pressing forward because the story and emotions felt from the characters are so deep and feel so incredibly real. I could not stop playing. Many have argued about the gritty content and perhaps even an ending they weren’t expecting or wanting but look at the world in which this game takes place. It’s not a pleasant, happy or fair world. It’s a world ravaged by a horrific virus that has stripped humanity down to its most raw and dangerous form. Anyone who expects the game to sunshine and butterflies with everything nicely gift wrapped is playing the wrong game. It’s a horrible world filled with even more horrible people. More so horrible, and in many cases, scarier than the actual infected population. With all of that being said this was the single greatest game I have ever played in my life. Every tear that fell from my eye was so powerful and carried meaning. This game is better than 99% of Hollywood movies that have ever existed. This game will make you think, laugh, cower in fear, grit your teeth in anger, and leave you ugly crying in the shower if you think about it too hard the next day.     Best and incredible game I have played in long time and troy baker role as jole is breathtaking and show every bit of emotions making Joel as a real living character.

    Apart from this the infected AI was just great and when played in hard level it is worth playing agin.

    A game that provokes such a divided response to me proves that it is a masterpiece. Flawed characters struggling through a world that has never felt more real while feeling and seeing the impact of senseless violence. This is more of an experience and less of a game than the first part.

    Amazing game. One of the best PS4 exclusive. TLOU-2 doesn't deserve such hatred. Even if you do not like the story for some reason, then at least for the graphics, gameplay and attention to detail at least you can put a score of 7-8. For me, it's 10 out of 10.

    I thoroughly enjoyed The Last Of Us Part II. There were moments when I was worried the story was going places that would have been disappointing or narratively weak. However every decision and story beat was well thought out and made perfect sense. My only 2 complaints were the cutscenes being less frequent than I would have liked, and the presence of WLF Whitney being less frequent than II thoroughly enjoyed The Last Of Us Part II.     It's a shame this game got so much hate. It truly is a masterpiece in all respects. Gameplay, story, graphics, replayability, and of course my collectors edition statue is awesome! I understand why so many hate the story but I for one love it. Most of the negative reviews on this game are by people who haven’t even played the game or don’t even understand the point of the story. Joel could have saved the world in the first game. But did not due to his selfish actions then lied to Ellie for years about what he did in that room.Yes Joel is a great character but he only lived long enough to see himself become the villian. Now should Joel have died a different way? Maybe, but he had it coming.Playing as Abby may seem boring but its crucial to the plot. Lastly those who wanted revenge with Ellie after 20+hours and are disappointed,didn't see the main message in the story.in this game just like in the last game you do not fulfill the main objective. Abby just like Ellie have now lost everything after days of fighting and searching. When the final battle comes up there is no reason to fight anymore. Everyone is tired,hurt,emotionally and physically distraught. Ellie then chooses to forgive Abby. Which is what this game was going for. Forgiveness NOT revenge. Please don't hate at first sight. Beat the game let it sit and think a little its definitely worth it.… Expand

    I am not a fan of survival horror. I am more drawn to stories and thats why I gave TLOU part 1 a try and it was great (9/10).

    I went in without watching any spoilers and I couldn’t wait to play as Joel and Ellie again but then that thing happened and I was pissed. I just wanted to get to Abby and kill her.

    But by the end in the final scene I didn’t feel like killing her anymore.

    There were so many ups and downs, so many emotions that I felt while playing this game that I cannot recall another game or other media that can deliver this kind of experience.

    I can understand why there are so many negative reviews but you have to take them as fans that were really sad from losing a beloved character.

    Don’t look at reviews and scores and give this game a try. There will be times when you want to put down your controller and turn off the PS4 but thats what makes this game phenomenal. Its a journey. Feel it.    … Expand

    Fantastic game with a brilliant story following on from the first part of the game. Didn't expect the story to be so long and certain areas to be so open to explore. For anyone that has PlayStation and do enjoy single player games, The Last of Us Part 2 is highly recommended.

    The last of us part 2 was overwhelmingly emotional in its delivery of Ellie’s development. The gameplay was improved but felt authentic. I won’t say more, it’s one hell of a ride.
