    Fantastic game in every way, currently on new game+.
    I guess a lot of people can't see the point, but the message is clear. Naughty Dog did a great job, but most people expect the impossible from them.

    The Last of Us part 2 is truly a masterpiece. It is better than its predecessor in every sense and that is coming from a person that absolutely loved the first one.

    First thing, you can not judge a game only based on its story, unless its just about the story which is not the case with last of us, second, just because you don't like the events in the game it doesn't mean its a bad story. YOU IDIOTS

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Emotional rollercoaster. During Covid19 lockdown I discovered TLOU1 lying around and was instantly hooked. To put into come context I had just finished part 1 no more than a week before Part 2 landed through my letterbox. So, I can understand that a lot of players who adored part 1 fell into disarray when Joel died barely 2 hours into the game. After a 7 year wait and everything! But don’t judge the game on that point alone (which a lot of people seem to be doing). I HATED Abby once she took that final blow to Joel’s head but with the amazing story telling talents of Naughty Dog, the stunning graphics and real heart in mouth gameplay I ended up sympathising with her to the point where even I was confused! Where this game really thrives is the narrative. It reminds you that the characters we control are human, just like us, with real emotions and desires. And actually, on paper, Abby has been through far more hurt than Ellie has so when her backstory is played out, you could argue that her actions were justified.
    Just as a sidenote to anyone who is unhappy with the game’s ‘agenda’ and feels uncomfortable with the mere thought that their ‘macho’ gaming experience should include any representation other than the Joels & Tommys of this world - grow up. Play this game again when you’re free from your cloud of rage and appreciate it for what it is - an inclusive, enthralling and immersive experience.    … Expand

There are many heartbreaking and shocking moments in the game, but they are balanced by the many very intense, action moments. Overall I loved the game, the part with Ellie was increadable, with her going on this brutal path of revenge. If I could change the story I would only change two things, the part with Abby being this long, I wish we could get to play with Ellie even more and I hope we can get to play with Ellie more in part III.The second thing would be to not kill Joel this early in the game or give him a hero’s death, other from that I wouldn’t change anything else. The gameplay is just phenomenal, I don’t think I have ever played a game where the gameplay and all of the animations are that smooth, every fight encounter feels very realistic and intense. However, I think, the part with Abby wasn’t as good as the part with Ellie, but I understand why ND let us play as Abby, it’s to try to create empathy for Abby. Overall the game is amazing and I know some people didn’t like the ending, but the ending is a lot more than just an ending, it perfectly sets up perfectly for part III… Expand

And like in any other game have the haters who wants to destroys everyone's experience, putting nasty and fake things of the game, 99% of them just played 2h of the game for sure, you just need to know and trust me this is a game that goes to change your perspective of life. Gustavo Santaolalla compositions grab your feelings and throw in the ground 100 times and when you think it's finally over ohh boy be prepared.

Salah satu contoh yang konkrit dari statemen diatas adalah fitur bermain gita yang terlihat seperti bermain gitar beneran. Bahkan ada pemain yang mengcover lagu Semua Tentang Kita dari band Peterpan

    Selain pembuatan game, dalam pembuatan karakter - karakter yang mantap sekali, sangat unik seperti Ellie yang suka dengan Dina yang pernah dihamili oleh Jesse (mantan pacarnya), karakter Abby (It's Ma'am) seorang 'wanita' anggota Suzuran yang baik hati, serta anggota housen yang bernama Lev yang katanya dulu seorang wanita berganti jadi anak laki - laki, dan yang terakhir merupakan karakter anggota Suzuran bernama Owen yang memiliki selera yang 'unik' dengan melakukan adegan bercinta 'Abby'.

    Kalau saya membahas tipe - tipe grup yang ada di The Last of us Part 2; di dalam game ini, terdapat dua grup utama, yaitu : WLF (Washington Liberation Front) yang merupakan komplotan bersenjata yang menang melawan pihak militer beberapa tahun yang lalu. Yang kedua adalah grup Seraphite (ada yg bilang Scars), dimana para membernya berkepala botak (seperti Housen di film Crows Zero 2 atau mungkin easter eggnya) dan member wanitanya tetap berambut (dengan gaya mahkota) yang mana para membernya sangat berbeda jauh dengan WLF, mereka mengandalkan gaya combat bergaya ninja dan persenjataan yang tradisional. Nilai plus dari Seraphite ini adalah mereka meminimalisir komunikasi mereka dengan 'priwit' (whistle) yang bervariasi.

    Secara overall adalah percubaan yang sangat mantap, mungkin game - game lain bahkan yang mungkin mau menyaingi game ini belum tentu terpikirkan untuk menciptakan ide masterpies seperti The Last of Us Part 2 lakukan.

    Mungkin dari kalian yang penasaran kenapa saya kasih nilai 10/10, jangan tanyain saya. Tetapi, mainkan saja game nya atau nonton dari para youtuber seperti Qorygore atau Ewing Xp. Keren dahh pokonya.

    Menurut observasi saya, minusnya dari permainan ini adalah ceritanya yang mungkin di awal banget sangat - sangat keliru yang menyebabkan 'Abby' melakukan kesalahan pada target yang ia bunuh. Yang seharusnya Ellie, melainkan pelaku pembunuh bapaknya Abby, si Joel Miller. Kalau misalkan Ellie yang ia bunuh, akan terlihat lebih masuk akal. Sehingga menimbulkan "cycle of revenge" yang lebih diterima oleh akal sehat para user.

    Terakhir, untuk Naughty Dog. Kalau mau membuat teaser ataupun trailer sekalipun, please jangan sampai clickbait bahkan mengganti karakter Joel jadi Jesse seperti adegan Ellie diditutupin mulutnya. Kalau buat trailer, buatlah seadanya, ngga usah nipu para pemain lah. Aku pun dah hampir naik darah nengoknya juga.    … Expand

    I'm really sorry for developers who worked on the Last of Us 2 and now have to head all those bad reviews from people who can't understand a serious message, plot and deeper understanding of an actual great piece of art.
    This game made me cry and left a nice hole in my hart, just like after the first one. it's great, I'm happy I've played it without reading all those reviews, watching all those *bad* youtube pre-release reviews and spoiler.

В процессе прохождения не испытывал каких либо разочерований, т.к. слышал еще до релиза, что это история мести и последствий мести. И вполне логично, что в процессе игры мы потеряем не мало хороших персонажей, и месть оставит нас у разбитого корыта. Что же касается трансгендера, то для меня это просто особенность персонажа, как травма детства или фобии, как и имуннитет у Элли.
    В общем 10 из 10 за мрачный и суровый мир, в котором логичны лишения и потери    … Expand

    Through out its amazing storytelling, this game is so new and different that a gamer may not know how to truly appreciate the story and i think that's why many people end up not appreciating the whole game. The game is absolutely a masterpiece and i don't think i will ever see anything close to it.

    And what did you do with such a masterpiece? You **** demolished and wrecked it, because it is politically correct (see a doctor please), because there isn't Joel as active character (are you 12 y/o?) and history didn't flow as you expected (are you 12 y/o and do you need to see a doctor?), because it has narrative inconsistencies (see a doctor #3) and, most of all, because it's a trend to insult it (i don't speak because i would get in big trouble).
    Next time you'll be about crying for another game series ruined by carbon-copies releasing, first think about what you did with this masterpiece, then shut your mouth.    … Expand

A mature and thoughtfully told tale that culminated in much discussed ending, which perfectly capped off what was originally intended to be the end of the franchise. No mean feat for a medium all too often derided for the quality of its writing. Now, 7 years later, Naughty Dog and Sony decided to re-examine that ending with Part II, a direct sequel to the first game. Described by Naughty Dog as “a game about hate”, TLOU2 is a brutal tale of revenge and redemption and how violence begets violence. And it is brutally violent, not only in the way the story is told but in the moment to moment gameplay too. A great deal of effort has gone into the brutality of the death animations and the truly harrowing sounds of an enemy choking on their own blood, all in an effort to make you feel the weight of your actions, so much so that Naughty Dog has even given names and faces to the many enemies that you violently murder over the course of the game. This means that the game isn’t always what you’d describe as fun, but that isn’t the point. TLOU2 is first and foremost a character study, but as much as this game is about hate it’s also about perspective. One of the biggest differences from the first game TLOU2 is that Naughty Dog goes to great lengths to contextualise Ellie’s actions as well examine the human cost of this very inhumane quest. In order to achieve this TLOU2 introduces a lot of new characters, the most prominent of which being Abby; the focal point of Ellie’s quest for revenge. In an unexpected move, not only is Abby a playable character but just under half the game is spent in her shoes, and it’s her sections that really elevate the game above what it might otherwise have been. When I reflect on TLOU2 as a complete vision, it is indeed the masterpiece it has been touted as but it’s one that doesn’t let its audience in easily. It’s a bleak and pessimistic revenge story that takes until the halfway point to really build momentum, but by the end it’d ripped my heart out and brought a tear to my eye.    … Expand

    The Last of Us Part 2 exceeds the first game in all aspects. I couldn't be happier how the sequel turned out. A beautiful story full of emotions and feelings of love and hatred. Thank you, Naughty Dog. It's definitely the best game I've ever played and I'm sure I'll play it many times again.

    Brilliant game. People complaining about the plot need to grow up - you either liked it or didn't, but it definitely was executed in a very impressive way. It has been a good ride worth every penny. The first game came out 7 years ago, the fans shouldn't expect the same feel - we all move on with the times, so did the game.

But i think that makes it even more great! i really felt that the game direcotr and everybody who worked on this really makes himself much thoughts. And in my opinion this is a mile stone. Maybe it is ahead of its time but that is more what get me shocked. Because i did not think that so many people are that " conservative" . I would find it less good when you would just get a game like every other game on the market, where you play the "good" guys and kill the "bad " guys... this gets boring and moreover it is not the truth. This game shows what really matters. That every Person in this world has a diffrent story and so a diffrent background and opinion and diffrence in his actions. I am so proud of naughty dog that they really are able to surpass the first game. Like with only a little bit more game mechanics but a really much better ground idea! i think the most bad reviews are just maybe sad or sth like that. But that is what happens in life. It is not everything an happy end or a statisfying end for one person. It is always just subjectives.
    So you will never make everybody happy but stay yourself and especially stand for yourself! and that is what naughty dog did. Awesome work! so much work to produce a masterpiece like this with this graphics and everything ! i am so happy that i am able to experience this awesome game in my lifetime. In my opinion it is a game that goes the important step into the right way. But like the game and everything else.... All depends from the View.
    But to be honest in a game critic you eveluate the game and nobody can tell me that this is not a masterpiece (i mean just dont look at the story if you dont like it but the game mechanics alone are just over the top !nice!
    So just think about it and imagine your own end or story that could happen and write it down. Use it for your experience but dont try to demand someones life work to get changed into your own ideas. Just accept the way naughty dog wants to present this.
    So for me it is an awesome story with an awesome end and not just because i really love this game and the idea behind alle the games for this but also because it is just really nice made for me!

    last 4 hour is... I think I was Elly.
    It was whole new experience. just awesome.

    First of all, the people who put bad reviews are just idiots who probably like spongebob games (and yes someone who wrote a bad review gave a SPONGEBOB GAME AN 8). This game is probably the GREATEST GAME IN THE WORLD. I love how they killed Joel quickly, not because I dont like Joel but it just makes the story interesting. And another review I saw said “Before they kill Joel they need to give Abby some backstory so that we understand why” but I love how they didnt, they made it so that you hate Abby at first then realise after the flashbacks Abby has a reason to. And its cool how they killed of so many people so then you get sad a lot which makes sense why? Because its a zombie apocalypse game. I hate to break it to you but in a zombie apocalypse lots of people die. So if your angry by that then you probably like disney endings. The ending is amazing, Ellie letting Abby live, Ellie getting back to the farmhouse and soooo much more. The whole story is amazing and you always want to play more. And it makes you realise, Abby isnt evil shes nice. Sure she killed Joel in a horrible way but when you play as Abby again she says she regrets it! Another thing I love is when Abbys foot is on Tommys head it makes you wait to see what happens. And the Rat King is terrifying but cool, im so happy they added a new infected thats super scary. And shamblers are epic they arent as strong as bloaters but they’re so cool. If you dont like tlou 2 then your a weirdo who thinks everything is PC.     And what a story it is, far more akin to a novel than a game. You won’t be able to empathize with one character throughout, because that character’s actions will force you to reevaluate your feelings. Likewise, your initial impressions of other characters will change because of their deeds and motivations. I’ve never seen anything like in a game before. It’s clear that enormous thought and planning and artistry went into this story before any programmer touched a keyboard.

    Perhaps that is what impresses me most about the game, that Naughty Dog had a singular vision and, holy hell, did they follow through on it. I still find it hard to grasp the sheer scope of it all, the ridiculous beauty of the mountains surrounding Jackson, the heartbreaking devastation of Seattle, the set pieces that had me as tense as I’ve ever felt during a game. I can’t tell you how many times I asked, “How did they do that?” Even though it’s been seven years since the original, it’s hard to believe they pulled off this massive — there’s no other word for it — world in such detail.

    I will play it again, but not anytime soon. I want to approach it after it’s not so fresh in my mind. If you are on the fence, or have been concerned by the mixed or negative reviews—please, give it a shot. This game was created by talented professionals working at the very peak of their powers. But after learning who she was from a kid to an adult, from a WLF to rescuing scars to a prisoner, from a violent, evil brute to a loving carer wanting genuine change I grew attached to her. Having to fight Ellie as Abby and vice versa was so intense and upsetting. I loved the way it was done. You can draw lots of parallels between Abby and Joel. Both began as murderous people, killing and doing it well for the prosperity of themselves and those around them. Finding a young person that they grow to love and care for that changes their ethics and goals, leading them to live more open, trusting lives. The difference is you dont get to see what Joel did before Ellie, it's only referenced that he killed innocent people and set traps.

    Also if you're really that bothered by how jacked Abby is (you're probably a misogynist and) it serves a real purpose. Ellie is super petite and you cant play as Joel so you're missing the classic brutal playstyle of TLOU without Abby. She can hold a massive rifle steady, swing a pickaxe without falling over and punch the **** out of people. My only gripe is before the farm, Ellie and Dina's relationship seemed kind of baseless to me. Context was only found in Ellie's teenage journal in the museum. Didn't really like Dina's character and didnt think she deserved Ellie. That did change after seeing them as a domestic couple but i wished i had felt that much earlier in the game. I think if you had read negative reviews of the game before playing (or have some *ahem* prejudices) and are set on disliking the game for those reasons, you have robbed yourself of one of the best gaming experiences ever.    … Expand

    I feel like many people misunderstood this game. Okay okay, hear me out. Joel's death was not unrespected and the story is not trash.

    Tlou has always been in the more realistic side on the spectrum in dealing with human emotions and desicion making. Also, here, any bad thing can happen to anyone anytime. Soo, my take is that Joel's death was not bad writing, but simply just depressing. His death drives the story forward and also reminds us about the kind of world we're living in where it's not just sunshine and rainbows.

    Is it unfair and ruthless? Yes, very. But that's real life man, you gotta wake up. Anddd that's my personal take on the game, I just rlly don't like people hating on things they don't completely understand    … Expand

The story with Ellie and Dina was the main strong point of the beginning of the game. Joel on the other hand, you can see that the relationship has grown very low, because of Ellie finding out the truth of what Joel had done to her. Which is why I agree with Ellie, she had the chance to save humanity and she wanted to do that and was ready for that sacrifice. But Joel took a selfish move and saved her because he seen her as the only thing he had left in this dying world. Joel still seen her as a little girl and not an adult who wanted to do her own thing. Think of him as a loving yet very protective father. To which is why I also love the way Joel is presented in this game, you know that his story is over, and that Ellie, Dina, Abby and Lev now take over. But now we are gonna talk about Joel's death. Joel needed to die. Maybe not in the way it happened (he had it coming tbh) but it happened and we have to move on. He killed Abby's father for trying to save the world, her father didn't see any wrong and only thought in the recovery of humanity. Joel wronged alot of people, but he was also a good hearted person. Abby sought revenge the same as any other person would do in that situation. Especially in the world they live in. Now back to Ellie, she killed alot of people to just get to one person, even a pregnant women who didn't want to be a part of it. The question I kept asking myself was.. was it worth it? All this killing? Abby let Ellie and Tommy go, but again here is another loop. Tommy wanted revenge for the death of his brother, and so set for another killing spree to which I agree. But now I'm seeing in this story that these are two stories with the same outcome... death. Unresolved and unnecessary death on both parties. Which I think Ellie herself brought on to herself. Now onto my favourite character, Abby. Abby's character development was amazing. At the start I wanted her dead for what she did. But later finding out what happened, I understood why. She had a valid reason for wanting revenge. Now we come to the aid of Yara and Lev. Both amazing characters and totally deserve to be recognised in this game. We see Abby's human side here, she could have walked away after they saved her life. Abby went to hell and back for them and in the end, got a new friend. Lev. Lev has had a troubled story, and also deserves full respect for what he had been through. Yes, he is trans and done what he thought was right, and that was to be himself. His own mother tried to kill him because of it and with the other scars calling him 'Lilly' you can tell the other scars did not accept him for it and therefore got so much hate to the point which he and his sister escaped. Abby deserves so much respect for helping Yara and Lev, again she could have walked away but she didnt. She stood her ground for what was right. Now to the ending, both women fighting to the end. Ellie was gonna win but then turned away because of guilt. Ill leave it up to you to what you think of the ending but I think it ended right. Both women deserved what they got, they both suffered and therefore redeemed. Overall, this game was probably the best game I have ever played. The small love moments between Ellie and Dina are amazing (I cried at the 'Take on me' moment, it was so beautiful). This game deserves all the praise it gets and hope Abby and Lev have their own game.… Expand

    -You can't pick up ammo from everyone you've killed even though they were holding a gun. -Sometimes the camera angle is a bit off and I'd like to be able to adjust it.     • Ellie, no me pareció mala idea lo de volver a buscar a Abby al final del juego, esto demuestra lo mala que es la venganza, tiene sentido que haya vuelto a por Abby porque si le sumas la presión de Tommy, su trauma (porque es evidente que tiene traumas con la muerte de Joel) y que se siente culpable es normal que vuelva.

    Back to the game itself, this is the best game in this genre we gonna see at least in 5 years. I just want to remind my fellow gamers that the fact that you don't like the plot doesn't mean it is not good and if you don't know any of these characters, do you still hate the story?

    Today, I completed TLOU 2 for 2nd time. This is the fkin deepest game I've ever played. Story is amazing. The gameplay is flawless. I love new characters. And I love that the game is courageously brutal (like GOT). My favorite game ever. 10/10.

    Эбби находит Светлячков, рассказывает им о Элли. Они находят Элии в Джексоне. Уговаривают доделать вакцину. Элли соглашается, т.к. это смысл ее жизни, но... Врач который может сделать операцию на другом континенте(Европа или... Скорей всего Южная Америка, судя по локациям в конце игры). Все вместе, взявшись за руки и припрыгивая под песни Элтона Джона, они отправляются в путешествие.

    Как вариант концовки. Пока наш врач делает операцию по смене пола Леву(Лили), Элли перед своей операцией ловит переклин, так как если она принесёт себя в жертву, то смерть Джоэла была напрасной. Она начинает давать заднюю, ее связывают, она вырывается (как обычно), убивает ВСЕХ и возвращается в Джексон.

    A masterpiece from start to finish. It’s unfortunate that because it didn’t go the way people wanted it to, causing toxic fans to try and tear down what is truly a work of art. Start to finish it’s a rollercoaster of emotions and will leave you thinking long after it’s done.

    As a huge fan of the first game i was really looking forward to part 2. I love part 2 just as much as part 1. this game is one of my all time favorite games of all time. i love the story the graphics are amazing. i beat the game within 2 days after it came out and i found myself still playing it a week later. i love this game and think its absolute perfect.

    Masterpiece. Best game I've ever played. So much emotion and tension it's almost unbearable. Great story, loved it. The graphics are out of this world. The environments are so beautiful you'll sometimes just stand there and look around and be amazed. Can't wait for TLOU3.

    La historia te crea demasiada ansiedad por todo lo que pasa, matan a varios personajes pero eso lo hace que te metas mas a la historia, te das cuenta como es el humano, piensas que todos los del primer juegos son buenos, pero te ponen en manos de otros personajes y te das cuenta que todos tienen sus problemas y todos se quieren vengar de todos. Para mi no hay un personaje favorito, todos tienen sus pros y contras.

And the outrage that fans are going through now only proves that point in my perspective. I understand why my fellow fans are angry I was as well.     I’m going to be quick and to the point - go and experience the game for yourself. The story is challenging, but I felt that my every plot point was intentional and thoughtful. One of the best gaming experiences I’ve had in a long time. A deserving perfect score.

    This game is an incredible piece of art. Through the game, the developers were able to make the player go through the stages of not only grief but forgiveness as well. This is the biggest achievement of this game: it makes you hate someone and, through the magic of gameplay storytelling, make you change your heart and be closer to being forgiving than to be consumed by hate.     Besides the story, the visuals of this game are amazing and the best you can find in the PS4. I thought that the gameplay was also highly entertaining. It made me feel like everything that I could think of doing with the tools I had was possible.    … Expand

Во время финальной битвы я понимал, что оба эти героя полностью раскрыты, и в какой-то степени мне было жалко Эбби.Мне больно было смотреть на их бой.Сначала я не хотел играть за Эбби, но потом её история меня зацепила, и начал ей сопереживать также как и Элли.Сюжет и концовка данной игры просто гениальны, но не могу сказать ,что она мне понравилась больше ,чем первая часть.12/10… Expand

    Игра неплоха, но разработчики обосрали себе шорты в плане повестки. Делаете либо полностью ЛГБТ игру, где даже есть зомби-геи, либо вообще не суйтесь в эту тему.     The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
