I think that a lot (not all, not the majority) of the hate is just homophobic **** I totally respect people that give a negative opinion with well based ideas and I’m happy that everyone can express their opinion, but when i read “just LGBTQ propaganda”
    or “gay agenda” i think that is just pure hate without context. Again, i understand people that don’t love the story or the gameplay, but rating 0 just for “a political view”, or in general rating anything without experiencing it before is just immoral.

    Personally i really loved the game, the death of Joel was really upsetting for me, but you get the chance to see him quite often in the game.
    The gameplay was pretty similar of the part 1 honestly; visual and audio were phenomenal, wow.

    P.S. Stop, Abby is not transgender (Even if she was it wouldn’t have been a problem obviously).

While I can't see myself giving this game a perfect score (no one is perfect!), it definitely is one of the most necessary games that everyone should play. It has stunning graphics, and anyone who played the first game will be pleased to know not much of the gameplay has changed. The biggest draw I felt was the progressive theme that really had a lasting impact on me. White men were mostly done away with in the story, with strong female leads taking the reins. This game is also a landmark in achievement; featuring what I believe is the first transgender love scene in gaming history. The game is a milestone in dark storytelling, where you shouldn't expect to be happy with your circumstances at any point in the game. In fact, by the end, I was wondering just what kind of emotional pain the developers were intending to inflict upon me by the end of the long path of depression. If you want an incredibly inclusive narrative that puts bigots right where they belong, check this game out! Hopefully the next installment in the series will feature even more the the same scenery, gameplay, and progressive values that any non-judgmental person can enjoy!… Expand

    Ein absolut herausragendes Spiel. Eines der besten Spiele, die ich je gespielt habe. Dank an die Macher und Sony für ein tolles Singleplayer-Erlebnis. Das ist ja leider selten geworden heutzutage.

    I wonder how many of the people who reviewed this game a few hours after it came out had actually played the game. I have played the game for several hours and I am enjoying the game play, even though it did start a little slow, the story is fine and the graphics are great.

    Not completed as just got today so not sure how there are so many comments putting this game down, I think the graphics are outstanding and I’m enjoying the story so far. I think the people who are complaining are people who didn’t even like the first game and went into playing this one wanting to hate it.

We feel every kind of emotion, practically what Ellie feels too, after someone's death. Hate, anger, sadness etc. And our first thought is so kill every one of them (same thought Ellie has). But in the middle of the game we get to play as Abby and experience her side, her story. I know it takes some time to get over the fact that you're playing her but give it a chance - that's what my friend told me and I'm glad I did.. After killing Abby countless times the moment I got to play her. As the story continues and we get to know more of her, the fact, she's just trying to survives in this messed up world like Joel & Ellie. Ellie and Abby both are blinded by anger, same with the player but as the story continues we get a more cleared view of the whole situation. We turn from the monster that wants to kill every single one of them to a more moral person. And it starts to make you think if killing all those people was correct. It’s not better than the first one but this one is really good. The graphics are really good and the mechanics are good too. I hate Joel’s death not only because he died but the way he died and the fact that you play as a killer makes it worse but after completing the game I understand why she killed him. Although Joel was a really good character he wasn’t really a good guy which made him a target. The ending was bad but it made sense how Ellie saw that Abby was kind of like a Joel to Lev and so she decided not to kill her.… Expand

    This game is amazing, the score, the acting, gameplay is so much improved, and yes, the story is taking major risks, but the actions are explained over the course of the game. I highly recommend this game, it is a must play, and in my humble opinion the future GOTY.

Environments are gorgeous, dread-inducing and fun to explore. What surprised me the most, though, was how much I enjoyed playing as Abby. Her whole persona & mechanics seem to be ND's darling of this game, and I can see how for some players this just added insult to injury.

    I wanted to give this game a 9 or even a 10, but the big weakness is still too glaring. And that is this: this game, whether intentional or not, has utter contempt for the player. It forces you to do horrible things to people & animals in Ellie's petty revenge quest, and then it forces you to play as Abby, the story the whole time **** on you for doing what the game forced you to do as Ellie. It was so badly conceived. And yeah, literally spitting on Joel has garnered an appropriate backlash. I actually deleted the game from my console at one point; however, I was still drawn back in and had to take it to the finish line. I'm glad I did.

    I wish so badly that Naughty Dog's next game takes the things that worked here, and creates their next game with the player in mind. We don't need to be taught a morality lesson in such a poorly-executed fashion. This could have been so great. Instead it's just good, despite the game's best efforts.    … Expand

    This game ain't made for kids I suppose. You have to be an metally adult to be able to acccpet the whole story. Well done naughty dog. Can't wait to play it on PS5.

    This is a GREAT game. Its said that people are spamming the reviews with bad ratings LITTERALLY minutes after the game released. Most of the negative reviews on this game is from people who probably didn't even buy the game, but just going off the leaked information we got about the game a month ago before it came out.
