    Sin duda unos de los mejores juegos jamas creado, una pena las malas criticas de parte de los jugadores parece que no entendieron nada, naughty dog ha querido ir mas alla de lo habitual y la gente lo desprecia por eso.
    Una cosa es que no te haya gustado, pero decir que el juego es una mierda por eso es ser idiota.

    I read the spoilers online before this game's release and was extremely worried that ND had destroyed the franchise. After finishing the game, I realized that the execution of everything was downright perfect and that reading angry people's reports of what they thought of the story isn't a reliable way of getting in contact with the game. When I finished it, I was in tears, on the verge of an anxiety crisis, and that was the only time a game was able to impact me so much.     I got completely hooked by the story and characters. Made me feel uncomfortable at times, in a good way. Made me questioned things. Music great as always. Beautiful graphics.

    The best game i have ever played.

    The story is fantastic, the graphics and animations are truly next level, the game last about 30 hours on the medium difficulty, the gameplay isn't change a lot but the crawling, climbing, jumping & dodging makes the game a lot more fluid en more fun. The people that review bomb this game after the leeks and before they played it, **** you! And    The best game i have ever played.

Фанаты ждали версии для фанатов, а на слуху была ЛГБТ повестка (чья роль не оказывает весомого влияния на сюжет и игру в целом). Повествование серой морали всегда было очень трудной задачей, учитывая, насколько игрок сблизился и привязался к Джойлу и Элли, смерть первого в начале игры была мотивацией отомстить. Но игра не даёт нам этого варианта и, по сути, раскрывает нам второго персонажа - Эбби. Здесь я хочу уточнить, что только при личном прохождении игры можно одинаково понять обеих героинь и полностью осознать смысл игры. Игра в полной мере раскрывает нам смысл высказывания - «Жестокость порождает ещё большую жестокость», потому и не даёт нам убить Эбби, а только ее близких друзей. Проходя игру, я ощутил на себе всю тягость, всю боль при нажатии кнопки удара за Элли в самом конце игры и то, как она отпускает Эбби и Леву. Я был полностью доволен тем, что Элли не прервала цепочку развития событий Эбби и Левы, которые, в свою очередь, являются неким аналогом Джойла и Элли. Если говорить о геймплее - пара новых механик, геймплей технически прежний из первой части (что очень мне понравилось), оценку снижаю только из за некоторой затянутость сюжета, которая, возможно, была необходима, но я этой надобности не почувствовал. От игры получил все, что хотел и все, что я ждал произошло. Спасибо разработчикам за взрослую историю для созревших умов.… Expand

Но все же, справедливости ради скажу, что показали и раскрыли ее достаточно хороша, да и за нее есть хорошие эпизоды, поэтому не стану снимать за это балл.
    Все остальное (не считая этих минусов) в игре прекрасно. Её хейт и низкие оценки абсолютно незаслуженные.    … Expand

    Intense and challenging gameplay. The encounters balance stealth and brutal combat in an awesome way. The story is wavers a bit but has dark, dreadful second half that I won't be forgetting anytime soon.

This has some of the best and most complex character work I’ve ever experienced in a game. I for one adore the ending. The gameplay is a bit trivial on normal, but on the hardest mode it is intense, and forces you to use everything at your disposal. Exploring and scavenging is as addictive as it was before, and I loved those collector cards. The game is gorgeous and the soundtrack almost brought me to tears more than once. I did feel that the pacing was dragging on certain chapters, and the game could have benefited from a chronological narrative. On the whole, I would recommend this to people who truly love and understand the first game. It’s not perfection for me, and I personally prefer the first a little bit more, but this one is going to stick with me foa long time… Expand

    En cuanto a jugabilidad es un sueño, es como jugar con una especie de solid snake pero en el mundo de TLOU. Los gráficos son excelentes. Sin embargo aunque creo que el desarrollo de los videojuegos no debe ser un fan service en este título una mala decisión en el argumento de la historia arruinó el resto de la experiencia.     Проблем с толерантностью не испытываю, но даже так в некоторых моментах откровенно бессмысленные и ненужные акценты на мой взгляд... За это минус 1...
    В остальном это просто шедеврально заслуживает 9! Эту игру не нужно сравнивать с другими, ругать за то, что это не Ведьмак и т.д. Нам просто дали прочувствовать законченную историю, и она тронула меня...    … Expand

La realidad es que este juego ha tenido la mala suerte de enfrentarse a diversos factores que han provocado que muchos lo hayan jugado sin realmente tener una mentalidad abierta de que les puede gustar. Si juegas a algo esperando odiarlo, créeme que lo vas a odiar. Es un juego realista, duro, sobre la venganza y la pérdida. No está hecho para que quieras a Abby a la fuerza, sino para que sepas el por qué de sus acciones. Los creadores te proporcionan la información y tú decides qué hacer con ella. Una pena que todos no hayan podido ver más allá de: "ha matado a Joel, Abby merece morir". Los personajes son grises, no hay héroes, no hay villanos. Te dan la oportunidad de entender las circunstancias de cada grupo de personas, de dónde vienen, su naturaleza... y eso no hace su viaje menos lícito. Es comprensible no disfrutar el juego, pero si lo odias, ódialo por razones que de verdad sean factibles, no porque Joel no haya muerto heroicamente o porque te obligan a jugar como Abby. La cruda realidad es que así es la muerte, en un momento estás y al siguiente ya no, menos de la mitad de las muertes en la vida real son heroicas, sobre todo en este universo post-apocalíptico.
    Incluso admito que no era la historia que yo quería que contaran, pero es la historia que he recibido y no me ha disgustado. De ahí la puntuación.
    De verdad, no escuchéis a los haters por ser los que están hablando más alto, muchos de ellos ni han jugado el juego, solamente saben x factores de la historia que no les gustan porque a "nadie" le gustan. Si de verdad vas a jugarlo, formate una opinión propia basándote en lo que te gusta y en tus propias reflexiones.    … Expand

The last of us Part 2 es un juego que al igual que el primero, no se trata solo de lograr el objetivo principal en cuestión sino que la historia brilla por lo que el viaje de ellie y abby representan. Considero que este juego no debe ser juzgado solo por lo que las primeras impresiones pueden brindar, ni por el final que pueda tener sino que es una obra que merece ser analizada de principio a fin. Se nota mucho el increíble trabajo que hay detrás de este juego, gráficamente hablando se ve hermoso, las animaciones de los personajes están extremadamente pulidas y las nuevas mecánicas agregadas en el gameplay resultan muy atractivas y lo bastante cautivadoras como para manenerte jugando por bastante tiempo. Una de las muchas cosas que existen en el juego y de lo que no he visto que muchas personas hablen, son los nuevos tipos de infectados. En lo personal las nuevas amenazas resultadas de mutaciones del virus cordyceps me han parecido un excelente agregado a la temática y gameplay del juego, más sin embargo considero que estos nuevos agregados están ahí solo por la jugabilidad y carecen de propósito o explicación alguna. Por ejemplo, yo al jugar la primera entrega me asombré de todas las amenazas que los desarrolladores agregaron pero a la vez me asombraba el nivel de detalle que le ponían a la hora de dar una explicación del porque es que existían y el como interactuabán, es decir, los corredores, acechadores, chasqueadores y gordinflones existen debido a que el virus Cordyceps muta constantemente y dependiendo de el tiempo que el huespéd esté infectado es la etapa en la cual se encontrará. Me tomó por sorpresa el hecho de que en esta segunda entrega de la saga no se buscara mucho darle un origen a estas nuevas mutaciones tales como los tambaleantes y el rey rata, ya que si bien son muy interesantes y buenos agregados en lo personal los llegué a sentir en ciertas partes forzados. Mi principal queja con el juego es meramente con su cuestión narrativa, ya que en lo personal considero que la trama de Abby, si bien es buena, si es alargada innecesariamente en busca de que logremos empatizar con ella pero honestamente nunca pude llegar a ese punto jugando con el personaje. Si bien, si comprendí el porque Abby hizo lo que hizo nunca llego a gustarme el peronaje por completo y las horas de gameplay que tenemos con ella fácilmente se pudieron haber reducido a la mitad ya que ciertos puntos como el amorío con Owen resultan bastante innecesarios y agregados por agregar. ¿Realmente era necesario que hubiera un triángulo amoroso entre Owen, Mel y Abby? Pudieron solamente haber dejado muy en claro que Owen es un viejo amigo muy apreciado por Abby y su muerte hubiera tenido el mismo peso que tiene dentro de la historia. Pero en fin, como conclusión puedo decir que The last of us Part 2 es un juego que brilla por su gameplay, mecánicas agregadas, nuevos tipos de enemigos, una música espléndida y perfecta por parte de Gustavo Santaolalla y una historia que si bien no es mejor que la primera y si tiene sus fallos y momentos innecesarios funciona muy bien y brinda un excelente desarrollo de personajes al igual que un mensaje extremadamente relevante. Agradezco todo el esfuerzo que Naughty Dog y todos los contribuyentes dentro de la empresa le pusieron al videojuego y espero que muchas personas le puedan dar la oportunidad al juego que se merece.… Expand

Playing abby was also very fun since we never really see the villains side of the story on a game and seeing her pov made the game different. In my opinion i feel like most of the fans don’t understand what naughty dog have done by making this game different to most games but i love this game! it’s not as good as the first one but it’s probably my 3 favourite game… Expand

    I can see why people didn’t like the end but as life itself this game doesn’t give you the full satisfaction. I saw lots of critics on the characters development but I think all the people disliking the game just wanted to keep loving Ellie’s character.

    Минусы: насколько я понял, геймплей заточен чисто под высокий уровень сложности, на более низких есть нюансы. Также есть пара придирок по поводу сюжета, о которых говорить не буду из-за    СУБЪЕКТИВНО.

Мне очень понравилась эта игра, в ней практически всё прекрасно, персонажи прописаны интересно, у каждого персонажа есть мотивация, и его действия объяснены. Лучший геймплей из всех сыгранных мной игр, в эту игру интересно играть, ты не ставишь минимальную сложность чтобы просто смотреть фильм, игра является хорошим продолжением первой части, она делает всё по другому, не просто повторяет что-то добавляя, что как по мне более хороший выбор. Единственное с чем у меня смешанные эмоции, это финал, я хоть и не профессиональный сценарист, но разве не лучше, что элли бы всё осознала, и просто отпустила Эбби? Хотя скорее всего это сделано для того чтобы показать полную неразбериху с эмоциями и действиями Элли. После прочтения многих негативных отзывов, у меня сложилось впечатление, что большинство даже не играли в игру, никто не сможет объективно доказать правильность и объективность своего мнения и рецензии соответственно.… Expand

    I enjoyed a lot this game, i really think that the gameplay and graphic got a big improvement, the narrative isn't as good as it was in tlou, but it is still realy good, i don't think that it deserves less than a 6 but neither more than a 8, really good game, and i'll play many times. All the 0 are from joel widows and 10 are from fanboys

    порой затянутого однообразного прохождения, определённые логические неувязки в сюжете. Но при всём при этом, я считаю что атмосфера левел-дизайна и сама суть игры, которую, кстати, многие не поняли в силу симпатий к персонажам первой части, окупает всё сполна. Я считаю смелой и оригинальной идею заставить игрока играть за персонажа из противоположного лагеря и столкнуть его с уже полюбившимся персонажем из первой части и начала этой игры. Бессмысленность существования, крах цивилизации, жестокость и месть, не знающие границ, мракобесие, милитаризм, ад на земле. Русскоязычное название даёт достаточно однобокое обозначение того, что игра за собой подразумевает. Это "Не последние из нас". По сути это "последнее, что осталось в нас от нас, людей", "последнее, что отделяет наше поведение от поведения животных", разумеется, с этической точки зрения.    … Expand

This sequel takes the human complexity and emotional turmoil of the first game and extends it to new and more exciting heights. I thoroughly enjoyed this game and the risks Naughty Dog took with it. This game challenges every emotion you can possibly feel and if you're heart is open like it no doubt wasIt's safe to say this is one of, if not the most, controversial game ever developed. This sequel takes the human complexity and emotional turmoil of the first game and extends it to new and more exciting heights. I thoroughly enjoyed this game and the risks Naughty Dog took with it. This game challenges every emotion you can possibly feel and if you're heart is open like it no doubt was when you played the first game, it will masterfully manipulate you to love characters you otherwise wouldn't think twice about and question their decisions-- for better or worse.

    Story aside, the gameplay is pristine. It takes the real and gritty approach from the first installment and improves upon it greatly. Both character and inventory movement flow seamlessly and are highly satisfying. The variety of approaches and combat devices Naughty Dog has thrown into this game is so dope. And this is great, because it makes you feel exactly in that world of post-apocalypse zombies in which the player during the first part is used to acting, to remember the same feelings, but learning a new story. The gameplay has not undergone major changes, because it did not need them, and those small innovations that were added in the second part suddenly turned out to be very useful to the place. The ability to jump and crawl more than expected would diversify the battle, and zombies have become more dangerous and interesting.
    The second part received the level of graphics and direction that she deserved. All your favorite characters, locations, zombies, even spores seemed to come to life. The feeling that in the first part I saw everything through dusty glasses, and only having started playing the second part, I finally took them off. The developers are trying to stretch the timing of the game intentionally to make it more voluminous, but at the same time not having enough resources to work out the entire content in detail, because of this, frankly boring and of the same type sometimes appear. In my opinion, the game would only win if the number of hours required to complete it would be slightly less. At the same time, in addition to several levels with repeated battles, most of the game locations are made perfectly. They are diverse, atmospheric and memorable.
    The game is great. And above all, this concerns the disclosure of the characters and the complexity of moral issues that are posed not only to the heroes of the game, but also to the player. This also means that all characters are realistic and complex and because of this, a simple and linear revenge story would make no sense for the game. Abby's story in the game is not about making people feel bad for her. It's about showing that realistic characters have their own personal conflicts motivations to accomplish their goals. Playing Abby's part forces the player to understand that Ellie's motivation for revenge isn't anything special outside her own perspective. This might be a tough realization but it creates a very unique (and disturbing) feeling in the player.
    Having said that, I also think that the game does a fine job innovating in the concept of storytelling in a video game: The structure allows the story to be even more emotional and character-focused that Part 1. In conclusion, I would agree that it's not a game for everyone but I deeply appreciate that the development team took big risks to make the best game from a creative standpoint instead of one designed to please the fans.    … Expand

    This game is a technical masterpiece and has made me very complicated and challenging feelings unlike any other game. Narrative-wise, Naughty Dog makes bold decisions and hopes that the player is trusting enough to go along for the ride. If you are open-minded, this game is easily one of the most evocative pieces of media I have consumed in my lifetime and is well worth experiencing.

Everything about this game is so far beyond the rest of the industry; from the complexity, non-linearity and depth in story-telling and dialogue, to the graphical achievments including quite honestly, the most accurate animation and physics in any video game I've seen.

    The story feels more mature than the first game, mirrored by the beautiful soundtrack by Gustavo Santaolalla, and further expands upon the world of The Last of Us whilst still tethering itself to the narrative and characters of the first game by continuing the story of Ellie and Joel, now residing in a settlement in Jackson after the ambigious ending of its predecessor. The timeline begins roughly 4 years after the first game, but due to its non-linear format, we jump around events amongst that 4 year period, discovering more details about the character relationships as well as the world in general. The story is bleak and grounded in the reality of human behaviour. It is far more effective at conveying the complexities of emotion than even the first game with the use of detailed journal entries throughout, and fantastic performances specifically from Ashley Johnson (Ellie) and Shannon Woodward (Dina).

    The gameplay is based on the same style as the first game, with major improvements in movement and an incedibly enjoyable combat system, alongside updated crafting systems that allow for far more creative approaches to stealth and fighting. The puzzle solving aspect of the first is slightly more subtly implemented and is more often than not tied to exploration than story progression - eg. breaking a window to gain access to an area with a lootable code used to crack a safe, or to find and collect one of the many trading cards.

    The plot holes I have seen many state are either completely non-existent or only visible under the microscope of those weighing this game to an unfair and hypocritically higher standard than almost any piece of media I have ever heard or seen. I utterly despise unnatural, heavy-handed writing - to the point of labelling myself pretentious in my consumption of entertainment - yet at no point did I feel anything being forced in my face during this game. "This character would never have done this or that" arguments can be absolved by simple fact that - between the first game and this one - everything is there that says entirely differently.

    The only criticism I have is that I feel some of the gameplay sections in the second third of the game could have been shortened, possibly removed, and the cutscenes would have sufficed.

    Recommendations before playing Part II:

    - Play the first game
    - Play Left Behind DLC
    - Watch the 'Grounded: The Making of The Last of Us' documentary (on YouTube)
    - Try to play Part II as soon as possible after finishing those three.
    - Drop your expectations of how you want Part II's story to go and experience it as 'this is the events that occurred' instead of battling with 'how it should've been'.

    Quite frankly, I find it hard to give the game anything but 10/10 because I cannot think of a single game that comes remotely close to this level of story-telling and all round impressiveness. This is a must-play if you like entertainment and video games driven by good stories, because this one's by far the most affecting experience in a game I've ever had.    … Expand

When talking about story "manipulating emotions" is not a thing, and if it is it's what every story or piece of art does because it's what it's meant to do. I think this game is nearly perfect, I liked the first more, but that doesn't take anything away from this one.

There are some truly epic and scary/tense moments in this game, where I couldn't believe how terrified I was to walk down some corridors. I also really love the new characters, and hope to see an expansion of the story for some of them. If you haven't played this game, and are solely basing that decision off of leaks, or negative reviews, I encourage you to do so and make your own opinion. Most of the negativity is coming from one single beat in the story, and this game is so much more than just that moment. And even if the story doesn't do it for you, the gameplay is a lot of fun. The combat has been much more polished since the original game, and it's seriously a blast to play. The last positive, but certainly not least, is the graphics. This game is gorgeous. Walking through the nature/fungus infested seattle is an incredible experience. Thanks to naughty dogs tech and some top notch acting, character's movement and facial animations are so life-like and really bring out all of the emotions that all the characters are going through. And the infected have never been creepier.

    The Bad:
    The only negative thing I will say is that I felt that some of the game did drag a little bit between cutscenes and story events. The game wants you to explore for supplies, collectables, etc. And, while I love this and really enjoy finding journals and letters of people long gone, I can also see where this can be a chore to some. If they shortened a few of these moments and some of the filler moments of the story, I think this would have been a 10/10 for me.

    The Ugly:
    I did have a bug occur twice where I fell through the floor. Wasn't game breaking and I didn't lose any progress, just an observation.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. First and foremost i have to say i think it is a very good game but there are some flaws which make me rate the game an 8. The idea of telling the story from two different perspectives is great but the player has to play as Abby for too long. When I saw we went back to play as Abby i was like okay...explain to me what happened i am curious. It is explained quite quickly so I thought after a couple of hours playing as Abby that we would play as Ellie again soon. I love Ellie’s character so much and just felt like i wanted to get through Abby’s part to get back to Ellie. In other words, i felt like playing as Abby took away from the time we would get to play as Ellie. Then I started to realize that we we’re going to see Ellie again much later and that we would have to play as Abby till the point their stories meet again in the theatre. At this point we played for 10+ hours as Abby and then we even had to attack Ellie?? That part i didn’t understand, i feel like we should have just had the cutscene without the combat or the perspective should have changed to Ellie. Hurting Ellie as Abby felt absolutely terrible.

    I also felt like the game could have been improved by implementing more flashbacks and backstory before Joel gets killed. Now all the flashbacks were just painful to watch because we already knew what was going to happen, they were still good though but adding more in the beginning would have given us more of the dynamic we loved in the first game. I just loved the atmosphere and vibe of Jackson and I wish there were more scenes there. I would also have loved for Ellie and Dina’s relationship to be more detailed... how did they meet, when did Dina come to Jackson for example. Ellie also writes about her ex-girlfriend Cat, considering she is the first love interest Ellie had after Riley I figured we would see their relationship somewhere in the game but that was unfortunately not the case. Owen and Abby’s relationship seemed to be more in depth and we almost get to learn more about Owen than we learn about Dina.

    In the end these are things that I think would have made the game a bit better and scenes which would have nicely balanced against the dark and depressing nature of the game. But i do think the game is good. The final part where we get to see Abby all worn out and sad is fantastically done. Ellie found the closure she was looking for, finally. In that moment Abby was not thinking about revenge anymore, she found closure and was just thinking about surviving and protecting Lev. At the very moment Ellie let’s go of Abby she has forgiven Joel and she can think about good moments with him instead of those horrible flashbacks. That scene with Ellie in the water broke me. Her telling Abby to go and take Lev and just sitting there crying with the beautiful music coming in. And Abby glancing back at Ellie as she sailed away with Lev... that was an emotional scene. It was a depressing ending though with Ellie and Dina basically being broken up... i would have loved to see Ellie reunite with Dina and J.J and then the camera would slowly move away until we have a Birdseye view of Jackson and bam end-credits. Maybe that is to sappy but it would have made the ending a bit more happy haha.    … Expand

Story and characters are well done as expected and the game plays and feels amazing. In keeping with the spirit of the first game, The Last of Us Part II has become one of the best games of this generation.

    IMO it's the one of the best game i have played in my life. Graphics, Gameplay were amazing and Story was not better than the first one but still Story was great. I liked the dark and brutal theme of the game. Still it's a solid game. Hope it will win Goty this year. Naughty Dog deserves it.

Naughty Dog has outdone themselves with immersing the player into their games and making you feel for their characters. The stealth encounters are on a new level of immersion and this became the most paranoia-inducing game I owned. The story is depressing the whole way through, you feel the frustration in Ellie and you continue to constantly power on but at what cost? The game is brutal and killing an enemy made me feel a way I never had towards computer A.I. telling you that you cannot pity anyone in this dog-eat-dog world. You find yourself rooting for both Ellie and Abby as they've experienced the same pain and it is the most painful experience during the end fight against each other. Peace of mind is a fictitious concept in this story and no one feels content before the game finishes, I grip on to what little amount of hope Ellie has when she leaves her home. Naughty Dog has done an incredible job on leaving players (who appreciate the story) with so much to think about weeks after they've finished the game and that's what I think they wished to accomplish with this new title.… Expand

    In this case, the writers have fully exploited this trope. But now - it's you, the gamer, who has to carry out the plot. In the first bit of the game, you have to watch a yet unknown character brutally beat someone to death. Not only that but later in the game, you have to play as that would-be villain.

    I think the best stories aren't just entertaining. They're also enlightening. This is an enlightening story. And by the end, I felt guilty and sad for Ellie. But that's OK. She's not real. But at that moment, the gameplay and story up to that gave me an opportunity to escape and feel for something.

    I probably won't replay this game for a while. I didn't feel nice and warm in the end. But that's OK. And that's why I'm rating it 10/10.    … Expand

    Part 2 is also a bit more emotionally draining than TLOU-1. Gameplay and trophy-hunting is a bit too easy.
    Also, no multiplayer :(

    I've completed the game twice, once on the Survivor+. I feel if you don't pay close attention to all the game dialogue and information on collectible notes, much of what the game is going for will be lost on you.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. When I first played through the last of us 1, it was an incredible experience and I became SUPER involved with the story and characters. The tension between Ellie and Joel towards the end left me wanting so much more!

    So when LOU 2 released I got it immediately and in several aspects the game did not disappoint. The gameplay, the new animations, the SHEER DEPTH OF DETAIL in the world is remarkable and honestly in terms of all that , the game is a PERFECT. I enjoyed playing it throughout. However, I cannot call this game a masterpiece, simply because of how the writers chose to take the story. When they killed Joel early in the game, I was shocked and more importantly, I was disappointed because I KNEW, no matter how they took this plot we would not be able to play with Joel and we would not be able to enjoy that tension and that dynamic with Ellie anymore. Flashbacks are NOT enough, and frankly, they could've timed Joel's death or written Joel's death much more differently, but just like that you got rid of him? Anyways, at that point I chose to accept it because well I thought to myself, it's Naughty dog right? They will probably have an insane plot coming for us now. When Ellie & Tommy wanted revenge , I was okay with the way things went on. And even more importantly, when they showed Abby's perspective from THAT DAY in the hospital, and the fact that the man Joel killed was her father, I WELCOMED that because now things would get interesting right??? Well, suddenly we're in Abby's world now! We get to learn about her life and her story during those days in Seattle for some odd reason. I WELCOMED THAT TOO, because well it was refreshing to play and learn the other side too, but honestly, the amount of game time given to her character was WAY TOO MUCH! Even though I was interested while playing with her, I don't care enough about her! Honestly what was that whole thing with Yara & Lev?! I'm sorry, in many ways it was beautiful, and in terms of gameplay I really enjoyed going through it but purely in terms of the MAIN CENTRAL PLOT, why is this getting so much time?! And I thought to myself , what is wrong with Abby? I loved when Mel confronted her about her hypocrisy, the way she killed Joel and the fact that she killed the highest # of scars but suddenly she cares about these two kids? I loved that, because when she tries to save those kids in that island , she ends up killing WLF soliders too?! What? For me that was just too much of a mess to understand. The entire plot around the two kids was just a mess in my opinion. But that isn't even my biggest frustration, after all that gameplay is done with Abby, she kills Jesse, cripples Tommy and you're playing as her against Ellie? And not gonna lie, in a way it's very cool to have Ellie as a boss but I sure as hell don't want to PLAY against her? My mind was in a constant conflict and honestly I was annoyed. After Abby let's Ellie and Dina go, I think to myself, SURELY Ellie gets back at her now? And that's exactly what happens and I'm finally on the path to get this revenge over with. However, after killing several SEVERAL people in her way , Ellie towards the end can't finish it when she has the ultimate opportunity? WHY? Why not?! Cause of her trauma? Cause she couldn't forgive Joel before he died? Well, ABBY is directly responsible for that whether he deserved to die or not! And Abby is also responsible for those images in her head, because well she repeatedly beat him to death with a golf club IN FRONT OF HER. In fact, Abby is responsible for A LOT MORE. But suddenly Ellie let's her go? I'm sorry but this was it for me plot wise. Ellie did not even know that the man Joel killed was Abby's father!

    I just cannot like how this turned out, and I believe that's all because of how the writers chose to go with this. The flashbacks with Joel felt GREAT , because I was constantly craving for that dynamic between them. Why couldn't they write Joel's death differently? Why does it have to be so early? Why is there so much filler nonsense in the middle of the game instead? For me , the way they wrote the story takes away this games HIGH potential to be game of the year. In terms of production, everything was on point and this has been one of the best games I've ever played in terms of visuals and gameplay, but the plot is poorly and lazily written and that makes me cut a solid 2 points from the score to give this game an 8/10.

    The story is amazing. Even though some parts of the game might be annoying, or it might be hard to understand Naughty Dog decisions at the beginning, you will figure it out later in the game.     Mechanics complements the story. Raw brutality is very realistic, and helps with immersion. That might be bad though, my mind will never be the same after playing TLoU 2.

It wasn't the fanfic wet dream that the complainers wanted (btw this is the same grouped that would have complained about Vader being Luke's father and Leah being his sister). It challenged you as the player. It put you in different people's shoes. It left you asking more questions than answers.     This wasn't your typical black and white story of hero kills villain. It showed the complexity and justification of the decision all the characters have made through out the story.

    Gostei muito desse jogo pelo que ele me fez sentir, eu nunca tinha tido nenhuma experiencia desse tipo em nenhum outro jogo, o que me fez pensar mais até mesmo na nossa realidade atual, e que nem tudo é perfeito mesmo, adorei como esse jogo me fez sentir empatia com só demais personagens, até mesmo os NPCs, me marcou muito, adorei o game.

Now the gameplay in my opinion is very very smooth and only gets boring for me at the end of the game, when you get to play as Ellie again. My high points were fighting the rat king as abby, the car scene with Jesse and the Chase scene with Dina on the end of the first day. Now to the people out there that are hating on the game, half the people I hear complaining about it have not even played the game and just see how everyone is hating on it and watches one review and then says its a bad game. NO STOP IT, play the game, and then have your opinion. Now my honest thoughts on the game, I loved it, and thats enough. The ending wasnt unfullfilling, if you were expecting the story to go the way you wanted/expected thats just wrong to think that way. Just because Joel died doesn't make it a bad game, his death wasn't handled porely, he for the past 4 years has been trying to become a better person, so is everyone at tommy's place as shown through letters, also having us play as Abby was fine, we were so set on hating her for killing joel as we all had that connection with Joel but if we are able to keep an open mind we see how horrible his actions really were and that they did have to bit him in the back at some point. The story was all that it needed to be, and thats all that it was, a story. Now please be respected to your own opinion and don't let people steer your opinion to something its not. Just because I loved this game doesn't mean you have too, but just because alot of people hate it doesn't mean you do as well.… Expand

    Definitely don't think all games need to be this dark, but I wouldn't mind if more examined the mental consequences of killing.

Though some of the moments really hit me hard. If you can bear with what they did with the story and characters you will like this game. Love the Ellie part and the tactical approach needed for combat.

    I have been waiting for 7 years to play this and i have to say that when i started TLOU II, my first impresion wasn't the best as a first look. But the game and history started to flow, and that didn,t stop until the end. As i was playing the game i was really enjoying the history, the scenes, etc. I expect something really diferent, but i think that this story is amazing. The important thing i expect that will be main point in TLOU II history apears in the game, but is not based in that, and that's because this history is more complex, it talks about really diferent things and is more brutal than the first. I think is like you are watching Netflix and this game is one or two seasons of a serie. Some many things happends, some of them maybe more important but it could be the best story i have ever played in a videogame. When i finished and i saw opinions like it is a terrible history i couldn't believe it. I think that ND didn't want to do a history for everybody, maybe this history isn't for you, but if you enter in the flow of TLOU II, it will be one of yout best videogames experiences.… Expand

    While I've never been a fan of the gameplay in the last of us games, the gameplay feels greatly improved and the story while a hard pill to swallow is great. This game is great, I honestly don't know where the hate toward this game comes from. While there are small problems with the game I still believe it is a fun and enjoyable experience.

    This game was the perfect sequel to a beautiful and yet brutal original. This game made me feel every emotion with such conviction and power. I laughed. I felt felt genuine fear and dread. And felt longing. I felt pain, frustration, insecurity, hopelessness, desperation, sadness, the list continues. But when this game was most powerful was when it made me cry. Yes, you read that correctly.This game was the perfect sequel to a beautiful and yet brutal original. This game made me feel every emotion with such conviction and power. I laughed. I felt felt genuine fear and dread. And felt longing. I felt pain, frustration, insecurity, hopelessness, desperation, sadness, the list continues. But when this game was most powerful was when it made me cry. Yes, you read that correctly. And yes, I like watching John Wick partly due to the high body count in each show. In this game however, each death carries weight and slowly chips away at your humanity and sanity. I’ve never felt so emotionally drained and exhausted after an hour long session, not really wanting to pick the controller back up. But I did. I kept pressing forward because the story and emotions felt from the characters are so deep and feel so incredibly real. I could not stop playing. Many have argued about the gritty content and perhaps even an ending they weren’t expecting or wanting but look at the world in which this game takes place. It’s not a pleasant, happy or fair world. It’s a world ravaged by a horrific virus that has stripped humanity down to its most raw and dangerous form. Anyone who expects the game to sunshine and butterflies with everything nicely gift wrapped is playing the wrong game. It’s a horrible world filled with even more horrible people. More so horrible, and in many cases, scarier than the actual infected population. With all of that being said this was the single greatest game I have ever played in my life. Every tear that fell from my eye was so powerful and carried meaning. This game is better than 99% of Hollywood movies that have ever existed. This game will make you think, laugh, cower in fear, grit your teeth in anger, and leave you ugly crying in the shower if you think about it too hard the next day. But it is worth every emotion and then some. Game of the year? Nah, game of the century.… Expand

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
