    It's very short. HOWEVER, it's very good. If you do value your money a lot, this might be slightly overpriced, but in general the game is good, and even if it's technically short it's not like it didn't explore most of its gameplay.
    The genre is a puzzle story which has a medium level of difficulty; it will be found hard by beginners but it's very doable by everyone else.

    Here you’ll be doing increasingly challenging puzzles involving a lamp…
    The controls and Idea is simple... you can move forwards or backwards which will rewind time or progress time… and both characters move simultaneously... so there is no back and forth nonsense going on here exactly…
    there is a bit.. but it’s more of lining things up, passing the light onto the little box helpers in levels, or figuring out codes or ways to line up the environment to get past…
    All with the end goal of getting the light to the end…
    getting over the different environmental obstacles in your way trying to stop this from happening
    nothing ever too difficult which I appreciate…
    it’s a quick little charming brain teaser…
    and I felt the gameplay consistently changing things up slightly as the game goes on while keeping the goal the same…
    but slowly new obstacles will be thrown at you which will carry onto the problem solving of levels throughout..
    There are so many unique and memorable puzzles here…
    this is definitely a game puzzle game fans should give a shot…
    There’s not much of a story and things won’t necessarily challenge you…..
    But there is something special and enjoyable here in the Gardens between

    Really loved this game, the puzzle elements were really well done - I had so many "Aha!" moments that felt really genuine and satisfying. I also enjoyed the overarching story a lot, and appreciated how the game used its mechanics as a subtext to the story it was telling.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I enjoyed a peaceful Sunday with this one, I just wish it was a bit longer.
    The puzzles are clever and there's always a logical solution -no lucky guesses- and the learning curve is just perfect.
    A unique puzzler, nicely designed that with some extra content (length, maybe some more story in between levels) would be a classic. Sequel?    … Expand

    The Gardens Between is truly a work of art. Two friends exploring fond memories of the times they shared through masterfully crafted island levels all wrapped in a time bending puzzle mechanic. This game will challenge you with clever surprises around every corner and has an incredible atmosphere thanks to some amazing sound design.

    Best friends, Arina and Frendt, fall into a mysterious world of beautiful garden islands that reveal details of their childhood memories.

    Game de puzzles de controle temporal, um jogo simples porém bem divertido, apesar de curto gostei bastante dos desafios, queria que tivessem mais pois são bem criativos, pra quem busca um game curto com puzzles interessantes recomendo bastante, eu não estava entendendo muito bem o enredo do jogo porém no final tudo fica claro, bate até uma tristeza.

    Great relaxing but detailed puzzle game. Its unique in its time mechanic. It's great value on the switch too.

    The game has an amazing art style, I love it! It's a good and relaxing experience. Sadly I couldn't get to invested in the story, it was not engaging enough for me personally. The puzzles was good, but could have been slightly more challenging at some parts of the game.

    A unique puzzle game that feels rewarding. None of the puzzles require you to start from scratch if you mess up which is a nice change.
    It's very short but I picked it up on PS extra for free.

    The Gardens Between's story certainly does not shine but the game features a brilliant concept and artistic design and delivers a truly enjoyable experience.

    The Gardens Between is good enough to get you interested in what it has to say, and smart enough to know exactly what to bow out. It’s not perfect by any means, but it’s the kind of game that’s aware enough of its limitations that it doesn’t need to be. Go into it expecting a fun little diversion rather than an all-time classic, and you should find just enough here to make it enjoyable.
