May 16, 2017Very good survival game, quite addicting and not so easy.
For me the procedural generetion of world is a good idea, because you can play a lot of times and you'll never know what you will be faced. -

Mar 4, 2019A short, but memorable, experience with a fantastic soundtrack. It took a couple deaths before I really got the hang of it, but once I did, I couldn't put it down for several days. Then I beat it. Then I didn't pick it up again.

Feb 23, 2023Awesome soundtrack undermined by awfully protracted and punishing game design that forgets the element of fun.

Playstation Official Magazine AustraliaMar 26, 2017So why should you bother to make it to the credits? Even in the weakest moments, there’s a rich mystery to this world that remains captivating. [April 2016, p78]

Mar 12, 2017The Flame in the Flood is a survival adventure that despite some imperfections, will attract everyone who liked games like Don’t Starve and Journey.

Mar 7, 2017More often than not, the game is an exercise in frustration, which unfortunately characterizes The Flame in the Flood most accurately: a promising, interesting survival game that is ultimately left to drown in the waters of mediocrity by its own core mechanics.
