May 12, 2022Using a background, elements and references to classic Horror and FantaTerror, Tape: Unveil the memories is one of those effective games that comes to tell you a story and that's it. In this case, one with very uncomfortable elements that the videogame doesn't usually use, although it doesn't take advantage of them either. The original use of the camera, the good sound design, the elements of Galicia and its Fantastic tradition stand out in a game that strangely doesn't want to be a horror game and continually refuses to scare, nor does it create tension. But the narrative ride, puzzles and its scripted surprises are well worth the experience.

Apr 22, 2022TAPE: Unveil the Memories is a game that does occasionally show moments of class. The time rewinding gimmick does lead to some interesting puzzles and the plot is wonderfully grim. At times, the presentation manages to surprise me with distorting hallways and clever transitions. Unfortunately, it's also saddled with some cheaper elements and a monster that isn't that intimidating. Unfortunately, the pace bogs down in the final act.
