Supraland is one of the best games I've ever played and one of the best puzzle games I've ever played. I'd go as far as to say it even surpasses Portal 2 and Talos Principle for me. I'd go as far as to say it even surpasses Portal 2 and Talos Principle for me. The reason why is because it is open world and also there is more variety of puzzles, tools, collectibles, etc. It's the ultimate game for the exploration and puzzle lover. The graphics are great and fit the cartoony atmosphere well. I loved the lighthearted nature of the game as well. The music is also fun and relaxing. The combat sometimes got quite annoying but overall, I think it added to the game as it added some variety to the gameplay. The controls, movement, and gameplay mechanics are very well tuned for this kind of game which made it a pleasure to play. I also encountered very few bugs for an open world game which impressed me a lot. The main plot of the game is quite meaty and there's a ton of extra collectibles to find. Every exploration, puzzle, hidden area, collectible feels meaningful. This is one of the few games I wanted to finish as much as possible because of that reason. The game is super fun and hard to put down. The game has excellent value in relation to its price and will last you a long time if you try to complete as much as you can. This is a gaming masterpiece to me and full-filled my puzzle itch. I will remember this game for a long time and will be recommending it to friends as the puzzle game to get! Expand

I love Supraland but I hate it just as much as I love it.. you play as a red stick figure that sets out to confront the blue kin cause the blue squad is out here messing with red teams water… and instantly I fellin love with this game.. this in an open wolrd set inside of a sandbox puzzle platformer game.. for the first couple of hours I was so immersed in this world, collecting couns for upgrds, searching for all of its secret chests.. again for upgrades.. and I don’t just mean cash.. these chests have permanent upgrades making them actually worth hunting down and making it super addictive to explor. I love this.. howver after the first world.. Supraland turns into an action version or portal.. on top of that, this is a first person metroidvania in a way…and you might think that sounds amazing.. but what makes portal so manageable for someone like me thts super imapatients when they play video games like this, is that portal is linear, not in an open world… and also theres a super intriguing nd hilarious story to go along with it pulling you through.. and while supraland definitely has a little charm here.. there definitely isn’t drag players to end end level of charm… so sadly a gamethat started out as a great, puzzle platformer with some of the best adventure aspects ive ever played.. turns into a drug out slog of switch puzzle after puzzle to solve… and this is when supraland started to lose me.. But I am very aware this is a personal gripe against this game.. this is a great puzzle game, if you go into spraland being fine that it ultimately is an open world puzzle game with more emphasis on the puzzle as it goes on, you will be pleased with all of the bonus aspects it throws at you… as again its so addictive to upgrade your character as you make it through this 11 hour long journey…
I for one am definitely not one for puzzles, I can only deal with them if theyre really good, clever, or unique… I don’t seek out puzzle games just for the sake of it..
So while I can appreciate that Supraland is a hidden gem puzzle game definitely owrth your attention if you are a puzzle fan… it was just something that struggled to keep my intrigue or attention…
    I give Supraland
    a 7.5/10

This is a terrific game. I love the huge open world. There are plenty of chests for you to find, each of them making you stronger. The game rewards you for searching every nook and cranny. Some of the chests are hidden in very clever spots.

The story is great too, it isn’t too complicated but the satire is still great. The dialogue is very funny too, which is a nice bonus.

Combat is simple but still fun. The sword becomes useless soon after you obtain the one and only gun in the game. You can still have some fun with the gun though, I enjoy experimenting with the combos you can get by using both the primary and secondary fire together. I almost forgot that you can stomp attack enemies, but I never use it.

There are so many upgrades. I love the RPG aspect of this game. Health upgrades, weapon upgrades, recovery upgrades, and plenty of shops. The Metroid-like tools are really the highlight of the game, opening up the areas of the game and they are so freaking cool. The Tesla grappling gun is so much more. You can also manipulate objects and create all sorts of bridges. The teleporter ball is also great. The game is built very smartly around these tools.

All in all this is a great game that combines the best tropes of many different genres and envelops it all in an aesthetically beautiful kid’s sandbox filled with lavish castles, towns, and other environments. Do yourself a favor and experience this game for yourself.

Supraland is a delight with a world that is brimming with secrets to discover. It is slightly too long and does have combat that feels largely superfluous, but the puzzles are consistently inventive and fun.

At least on the PS4, Supraland plays and controls wonderfully with a smooth frame rate and vibrant graphics. The world is as richly detailed as the PC version and feels right at home on a controller. Despite some annoyances with combat, story, and late game design, Supraland is excellent overall. Players who enjoy exploration and puzzles deserve to treat themselves to this stunning adventure.
