Jul 13, 2021A competitive free-to-play “Tetris-99-like” twist in the original Bomberman formula, with LOTS of cool characters and bonuses from Konami's universe. Entertaining despite some annoying issues in the net code.

Jun 11, 2021I don’t think that Super Bomberman R Online is a bad game per se. After all, the game is free to play. And winding down with a few silly, low-effort games online with random people, pointing at the screen and saying “haha, that person got knocked out in a funny way!” or “I’m so stupid, I just ran into my own explosion” might just be the thing that you’re looking for. Personally, I think that’s been the core of Bomberman titles since it began in the ’80s. Maybe that’s why the battle royale, always-ranked competitive style of Super Bomberman R Online just doesn’t feel right. Or, maybe it’s just the long matchmaking times and frequent glitches. Yeah, that’s probably it.
