    It's simple fun that's rather enjoyable in small bursts, and thankfully uncensored (at least I assume, they got away with quite a bit if they're selling physical copies in Gamestop in the US where I got mine), so that's nice, but what really prevents this from being truly fun is the awkward controls, bland maps, and worst of all, the framerate which loves to tank whenever there are aIt's simple fun that's rather enjoyable in small bursts, and thankfully uncensored (at least I assume, they got away with quite a bit if they're selling physical copies in Gamestop in the US where I got mine), so that's nice, but what really prevents this from being truly fun is the awkward controls, bland maps, and worst of all, the framerate which loves to tank whenever there are a couple zombies on screen, feels like there's not much excuse when the game looks more like a rather amateur 360 game, but lags on a PS4 pro of all things. I'd give this a 5, only really recommending it if you find it for sale and not the price of 40 dollars which I ended up paying. It's a simple 3rd person zombie game which might get your attention for a few minutes, but don't expect resident evil or left 4 dead quality.… Expand

    I started playing this game yesterday, and beat it today, that includes unlocking all clothes.

    I picked this up primarily for the fanservice, and the fanservice is disappointing. There's 5 girls, all with the same character model (different breast sizes an heads).     And there's only five sets of clothes (each with color variations). Your standard school girl outfit, a slightly different school girl outfit, a nurse outfit, Japanese school girl swimsuit (the kind that's not sexy at all), and bloomers. There's no girl-specific outfits. The outfits look okay, but aren't modeled well and don't flow very well. They do tear after you've taken some damage, and you can choose to throw your outfit off at any time to distract zombies. Panties take no damage.

    There are shower scenes, well let me clarify: one identical shower scene that you can take each girl through. It's not a very good one.

    You unlock outfits and color variations by finding them on the ground or shooting zombie birds in levels. It's not very interesting or engaging.

    The game is short, with 5 main chapters, with a few levels in each. For each, you're ether protecting your base (communicator), going to a destination, or killing zombies.

    The story might be interesting to a 10 year old. It's quite basic and juvenile, which is strange considering the mature age rating. The 5 girls aren't very interesting. I just finished the game and can only remember that there was a weird one and a stuck up one.

    The combat isn't very good or fun. Difficulty in the game is based solely on how many zombies they can throw (literally) at you at a time or how much of a bullet sponge certain bosses are.

    You fight only within the school and it's not very interesting. The game sets up glowing blue walls to block you from going down certain hallways and stairways just to prolong the missions.

    The Onechanbara game that came out on PS4 is much better than this. SGZH gives you less than half of the content that it had, and it was more fun.    … Expand

    when it comes to how the game plays, SG/ZH is frustrating. The aim is slow, as well as inconsistent with its hit box and damage distribution. Movement is fast, allowing for a fun run and gun, but the memo must have gotten lost on the "gun" part. While every character moves like Usain Bolt, they stand still or slowly walk in order to fire their weapons, meaning flow of combat is inconsistent and sporadic to the point of frustration. The game presents itself in mission format, where before starting up a mission from the mission menu, you choose the loadout and outfit for the characters you are going to play with. Each gun has its own special abilities that stack on their base stats the amount of weaponry is actually fairly expansive. The issue here is that other than 2 abilities, the rest of the equipment you find will more than likely not be used. Bosses are all pretty much the same minus one specific boss fight, so for the most part you only need one loadout throughout the game.

    Story:
    The story is garbage. While the game takes inspiration from series like High School of the Dead and School Live, the biggest mistake here is that the story revolves around external threats. There is a reason the zombies are around, and there is someone doing all this, so the girls must find and stop him. The mistake is that the story gets weirder and weirder as the game goes on, and with no real internal conflict that is built up, the characters are more or less stumbling through the events. Sure there is character development, but there is no build up or even moments where the insecurities or issues the girls have are confronted or cause problems. It is a case of a moment where each character basically goes "oh, I don't do that anymore." It is a weak narrative and really messes up the ending of an already pathetic game.

    Upside:
    With all its flaw though, the game does have moments where it can be fun. once you get the hang of how the game works, it makes exploration and run and gun much easier and simpler to perform allowing for more moments of badassery.    … Expand

    It is exactly what you think it is. Half naked girls, killing zombies. The story is weak, the controls are a bit clunky. What this game has going for it is, it is silly, fun. can't we just unwind with some stupid fun.
    That is why I score it so highly. It met my expectations. They can't all be Final Fantasy

    So, let's be clear. I liked the Onechanbara games. Ok, often, graphics are bad, controls are simples, stories are stupid and the games are shorts. But it's often fun to play once in a while. Like, you can relaunch the game, play for one or two levels, have fun, and that's it. SGZH wants to be a game sets in the same world. And they changed the swords and other blades for guns. Bad choice.So, let's be clear. I liked the Onechanbara games. Ok, often, graphics are bad, controls are simples, stories are stupid and the games are shorts. But it's often fun to play once in a while. Like, you can relaunch the game, play for one or two levels, have fun, and that's it. SGZH wants to be a game sets in the same world. And they changed the swords and other blades for guns. Bad choice. The gameplay is horrible, the level design lazy and we often go to the same levels again and again. Levels are very short (some can be beaten in only 2 or 3 minutes), and the game becomes boring pretty fast. Ok, it's fun when you can throw your clothes to attract zombies, but it's fun the first time because it's stupid. Then it's boring too. Otherwise yeah, bad graphics, bad controls, lazy story, repetitive, boring. Waste of time.… Expand

    Sure, I could only bring myself to play School Girl/Zombie Hunter in small doses, and as I was playing all I could think about was how stupid the game was. But if you want mindless action that you won’t have to think about very deeply — and that you probably shouldn’t think about too deeply, for your own mental well-being — then this game will deliver that in spades.
