The game has hidden depths which I did not expect. In particular the ability to develop your character down a skill path of your choosing was a welcome surprise. As a rule I dislike shooters, as my reaction times are not those of a 14 year old, but the scaling difficulty level ensures that everyone can play and enjoy doing so. Nice attempt to randomly generated levels, but unfortunately gets boring pretty fast as you ALWAYS speed through (more or less) the same level with great lack of variety. The other ting is the difficulty. I personally HATE games, that presents bosses with almost three times higher difficulty as the actual level is. So, I got stuck on a boss, which just **** me up, just because his random attacks are so stupid and unfair at times, I can't dodge them and die, die, die. This is pretty frustrating and I'm certainly don't indulge this little game as I did with Dark Souls, as it just doesn't pay off the time I put into it. In the end, pretty disappointing!

Seraph on a whole is brilliant and refreshing in its design. Having the player be able to concentrate on movement while the AI handles the aiming is an inspired idea and I honestly hope to see more of in the future, while the organic approach to difficulty and movement makes for a game that is mesmerising and deeply engaging from start to finish.
