    Unironically one of my favorite games. The live action cut scenes are super funny, the story is engaging, the game is cheap enough to be worth the short run time. I don't recommend trying to complete everything, for me this game is about having a laugh, doing whatever to see funny cut screens, a bit of fun puzzles to solve and getting a cool lesbian protag.

    The developers of Roundabout had a great basic gameplay mechanic of having a continuously rotating object navigating around obstacles. This was the developers only good idea. The other ideas like live action cutscenes, no challenge or incentive to do well, terrible mini games, cheat settings that make things more unfun, or collecting money for useless limo hats were terrible ideas.

    I normally don’t think story and cutscenes are that important but the cutscenes surpass cringe and go into repulsive territory. They have the production of a 90’s corporate training video and are not even terrible in a fun way.

    The basic mechanic is fun and quickly mastered but there is nothing to use it in but repetitious routes across the same map. With no real penalty to dying, I found myself carelessly pounding through a level to be “rewarded” with another cut scene. What is needed is something where you have to achieve a certain rating and collect stars to progress.

    You might think I am being hyperbolic but I truly believe this might be easily the worst game on Playstation 4. Please do not buy unless you really have terrible taste in video games.    … Expand

    Roundabout involves driving a constantly-rotating limousine in order to complete missions, most of which involve picking up and dropping off various passengers (who are all introduced by B-Movie style FMV sequences) to specified locations.

    This is not a terrible game by any stretch, and on a portable system it’d kill some time whilst sat on the train or bus, but it’s not quite    Roundabout involves driving a constantly-rotating limousine in order to complete missions, most of which involve picking up and dropping off various passengers (who are all introduced by B-Movie style FMV sequences) to specified locations.

    This is not a terrible game by any stretch, and on a portable system it’d kill some time whilst sat on the train or bus, but it’s not quite entertaining enough to make me want to boot it up over all the other games currently on my PlayStation hard drive.    … Expand

    this game is golden. not kidding at all. one more psplus i thought i wouldnt even take off of my library and care to download. but my 6yo nephew asked me to download it for him. he couldnt get the hang of it of course, but i decided to give it a shot while some other game was updating.long story short i've finished roundabout and never started playing the ne updating.
    it's just so fun. i    this game is golden. not kidding at all. one more psplus i thought i wouldnt even take off of my library and care to download. but my 6yo nephew asked me to download it for him. he couldnt get the hang of it of course, but i decided to give it a shot while some other game was updating.long story short i've finished roundabout and never started playing the ne updating.
    it's just so fun. i couldnt give it a ten cause the game do have some problems on its mechanics, but damn, for an indie game, we can look the other way, specially with such a fun play.    … Expand

    I don’t care that this is an 8 year old games that’s basically designed for mobile. This game is super fun and super cute. The premise is brilliant. You control a revolving limousine. It’s like an action puzzler. Not very easy but not too difficult. The full motion video is an extra treat.

    Back in the 90s, a lot of games experimented with full motion video cutscenes, Wing Commander,    I don’t care that this is an 8 year old games that’s basically designed for mobile. This game is super fun and super cute. The premise is brilliant. You control a revolving limousine. It’s like an action puzzler. Not very easy but not too difficult. The full motion video is an extra treat.

    Back in the 90s, a lot of games experimented with full motion video cutscenes, Wing Commander, Heavy Gear, Star Wars, and Civilization II had some innovating use of video and it looked great. Then cutscenes went to back to blocky CGI. it took another decade and a half until CGI matched the quality of real live video. So it was a nice flashback to see video in an 8 year old videogame. The acting is understandably terrible, but the main character, Georgio Manos is just darling. Never underestimate the power of a few well placed expressions.

    Full disclosure: I picked this up for “free” on PS+ and if sat in my backlog for years. I didn’t want my kids playing it because the trailer showed some overt drug use. But they are older and i needed a break from all these serious Souls like games. The story is only a couple of hours depending on how good you are at the game. The leaderboards are broken by folks who hacked the game. And the audio of the videos are messed up i’m PS5. But I don’t care about any of that. Fun is fun and this games is fun in ways I haven’t seen.    … Expand

    Playing this game is a fun time, very simple mechanics but still challenging. The live action scenes and story is the charm of the game. A unique experience, for sure.

    On the PlayStation 4, there's definitely still fun to be found in this highly stylised game, but the novelty soon wears off if you play it in long bursts.
