The best, most well-resourced developers in the world would struggle to make a quality simulation game with online sharing, VR support, and the ability to fully explore and interact with your creations. This is the work of a small indie developer that should have focused on getting a few things right, than throwing in everything and failing at it all.

First, let's just say what my expectations were when I bought this game. I wanted a game that I could ride roller coasters. I've played a demo on the Oculus Rift development kit where I was able to do so. I walked into this purchase with the same expectation. Honestly, the fact that you can ride roller coasters is probably the only saving grace of this game.

Now, let's talk about what's bad about the game. Clearly, the developer's first language is not English, or they just didn't care about their game because the grammar is horrendous. In addition, the money system makes no sense at all. The graphics..expect PS2 quality, but I don't go into a game for its graphics. But still, when the grass outside of the park looks like it was taken from Google Maps (Satellite View)..that's sad. The controls are just wonky, the rides give you motion sickness as well (although it warns you that).

I looked at past games that this developer has created. Does anyone remember that awful game Rollercoaster Worlds on PS2? Yeah. Now this game makes a lot more sense.

For $20, definitely a waste of money. For $5 or $10, sure!

This game was never intended to be a record breaker, and yes it may be Rollercoaster World in vr but that's what I like about it. Years ago as I was playing Rollercoaster World I wondered what it would be like if I was in that world, 15 years later I'm in control a theme park and ride rollercoasters in vr. Sure the guests wonder around aimlessly and look like zombies as does your character, but you play the game again and again for the the fun that you get not the way people look. Hell if we all did that then we wouldn't play gt sport and forza7, because the crowd is awful in both games. When he jumps I'll agree it's pretty pathetic, otherwise the controlls are nice and easy to use. If they updated the graphics slightly then I would've given it a 9 or even 10, but as it is I'm very happy indeed. Full Review »
