Sep 6, 2019Way Wayforward has done an amazing job making another great game! Beautiful animations, fun gameplay, and tons of replayability! A worthy sequel to River City Ransom.
-
Sep 6, 2019Shortest and cringiest adventure ever. City filled by degenerates forcing you to backtrack everytime with their dumb dialogues. This somehow pretend to be related with Kunio-kun.

Jun 21, 2020Me gusto mucho, el estilo y la aventura junto a la historia que no se toma muy enserio es una gran combinación, la dificulta me parece buena, ademas de poder jugarse para 2. Es realmente adictivo

Jan 8, 2022When I played this game on release - I was disappointed. But, when I bought it in 2021 on PS4 it wasn't that bad as i remembered. Pretty interesting and well done story for beat 'em up game, the best OST from all games of this genre and interesting gameplay. Tnx wayforward that at this time thay didn't f%*d up with a beat 'em up (yes Double Dragon Neon?)

Jun 15, 2023Exactly what I was hoping for. A lot of fun with some challenges along the way.

Jun 5, 2023Really love all the seemingly infinite references to old Kunio universe lore, other games, movies, memes etc, and the very humorous dialogues !!! Overall an awesome beat-'em-up that fans should definitely not missing out !!!

Apr 27, 2020I'd classify River City Girls as a fun, anime-inspired romp that's worth the time if you're looking for a balance between the visceral satisfaction you get from pummeling enemies on-screen and some of the off-center humor one can find in pieces like "Scott Pilgrim vs The World." It has that kind of vibe, and it's a great change of pace from the more heavy-handed stuff out there.

Oct 2, 2019I wanted to love River City Girls. A modern side scrolling beat 'em up, from a proven developer like WayForward, with bright, bold visuals, and two kick-ass heroines should have been great. Instead, thanks to way too much repetitive grinding, River City Girls is a bit boring. Something I never thought I'd say about a game that has high school children hitting zombie cheerleaders with wrenches.

Sep 26, 2019River City Girls brought me so much joy, and playing it with my roommate we beat it in two days without taking too many breaks. It’s fantastic to have a couch co-op game that takes all of the classic elements of beat-’em-ups and gives them an upgrade that feels modern and fresh. I can’t remember the last time I played a beat-’em-up that had both a fun and entertaining story, but was also great to play, even with its few frustrations.
