Τhe game as a whole is still exciting and outstanding exactly as you remember it.
The problem is i bough the gold edition, i deleted the old game data from the original release, the save was transferable (thank god ) the MAIN ISSUE is that i have no option to access any of the DLC.
I have no '' extra'' option between load and more NOTHING. Not a hero is free for all of us old fanbase

Not a hero is free for all of us old fanbase nad newcomers however the game is asking me to either buy the season pass or any DLC of my choosing respectively.

Since the first day the gold edition was announced i was really excited,
    shame on you Capcom.

To anyone who might read this, pray for it to be a bug only to me and you will have full access.

No matter what at least if you haven't already played it, enjoy one of the best games of the previous year.

My biggest issues with Resident Evil 7 when it first came out was the lack of endgame content that it brought out. The base game itself was good and rock solid for delivering a tense survival horror experience that nostalgically grabs old fans of the Resident Evil series while also being different enough to attract new players at the same time. Unfortunately the game lacked content until the Banned Footage DLCs came out, and based on the price for those DLCs on top of the $60 price tag was polarizing at best and absolute shameful and bad at worst. The six additions all felt like bite sized snacks and distractions (excluding arguably Nightmares) rather than fully fleshed out concepts and designs. Personally, this should have been apart of the base game and when hearing there was only one thing left to impress me, I was ready to sign off the whole game as a cash grab that lost its potential to the corporate sharks at Capcom.

Fortunately I was wrong and they manage to pull through with two solid (if short) entries. Not A Hero and End of Zoe both act as an epilogue to the base game and feel just enough to be worthwhile (if only for a few runs). Not A Hero is a more action tense experience in which you play as Chris Redfield who must hunt down a certain character to close out the finale of the base game proper while also showing some of the events taken place as things progress. It's a challenging chapter that has you up against enemies and traps that require some thinking and cautious. While only being a 1 and half to two hour experience the dlc is free for anyone who buys the game or this version and at least serves as a much better ending and possible future for the series. End of Zoe takes a completely different tone, taking weeks after Not A Hero and the base game, where you play as one of the Baker family members who is desperate to save one of his own. The combat and change up is refreshing and sometimes really cool. It makes the single boss satisfying if a little predictable and repetitive on movesets too. The story to both are okay I suppose on their own, but if taking the entire game and its DLC as a whole, it actually tells a interesting narrative of the Bakers and the secrets they carry.

For those that have not done so, I would recommend buying Resident Evil 7- Gold Edition as Capcom have released the game (in my opinion) the way it should have been at launch. The main game will take about 8-10 hours with Not A Hero and End of Zoe adding another 3 hours. The six mini DLC will vary, but one adds a ludicrously hard mode, another adds a survival mode and time attack mode, and three are mini-stories that can be completed altogether in 30-60 minutes. Overall, this will provide enough content and replay value to last you awhile. I don't agree with the idea that giving you so many hours of gameplay instantly makes it worth your money, rather the experience of the time and quality put into it is what I concern myself more for.

In conclusion, Resident Evil 7 "The Actual Full-Game It Should've Been At Launch" Edition is worth a chance for anyone interested in Resident Evil, survival horror, or both. While it's not perfect and its VR for the PS is sickening to my stomach to this day, I can say if you want to try it it might amplify your blind runs far better and be more immersed as a result. It still has yet to be a true comeback for the series old roots, but makes a good attempt regardless and that right there is worth playing it for.

The Gold Edition includes the base game along with all the DLC. End of Zoe is a solid mini-episode and the Banned Footage content adds a variety of fun challenges. For those that want the complete RE 7 package, this is a must have. One of the best survival horror games of all time. It ranks up with Resident Evil 2 and 4. I would rate it with a 9.5 out of 10.

The best Resident Evil game I've ever played & definitely one of my favorite games of all time. The 1st half of the game was insanely good & scary of course. Really enjoyed this game even though the last half of the game wasn't nearly as the good as the first. I played the dlcs as well & didn't quite like them except 2 of them - the daughters dlc & the bedroom dlc. Must also mention that indoors the game looks almost photorealistic & the atmosphere & the whole vibe of the Baker estate was phenomenally creepy like in a great way. Expand
