    This game is baffling. The combat system has seen a number of notable additions which really creates a unique 3rd person shooter like nothing else out there. It really shines on certain Mercenaries maps especially. However the enemy designs, lack of satisfying bullet impact and truly terrible main campaign severely hold this game back. The game is a wild ride for sure and lots of ironicThis game is baffling.     Game is great but its not a resident evil game.

    The removed some stuff that re4 and re5 had which sucks. The animations are so awful I was dying from laughter multiple times. Story isnt fleshed out, feels like more time shouldve been put into it. But I enjoyed the gameplay, the bosses are cool af, the characters are nice. I started with Chris and had to push myself to finish the first    Game is great but its not a resident evil game.

    I started with Chris and had to push myself to finish the first chapter cuz it felt like I was playing Army of Two and all the hate I heard for this game didnt help either, but I stuck thru it and his playthrough was ok.

    Leon's was way better and I enjoyed it a lot, Helena is a great character and the boss designs were funny and crazy af.

    Jakes playthrough was again great, cool level designs and Ustanak is now my favorite Re boss.

    Ada's was ok, it gives you the last bits of the story so you eventually understand everything but the gameplay was pretty lame.

    I recommend it but only if you promise yourself to not treat it like a RE game and push yourself to finish one chapter    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Resident Evil 6 isn't straight up trash or anything but it's not good either. There are flaws to it.

    The most notable flaws are the clunky cover mechanic. This wouldn't be a problem if there wasn't a campaign where you have to use the cover mechanic (Chris campaign heavily rely on this mechanic). You wouldn't have a problem on lower difficulty but on higher difficulty this will be the problem.

    The inventory system sucks too. You have to scroll through all the weapons to get the weapon you're gonna use. It's slow and when you have 6 different weapons on you or so if became difficult to equip the weapon you're gonna use.

    Other than that all of the campaign is pretty good except Ada's campaign.
    If you play co-op mode in ada campaign one person will be play as Agent. The Agent cant do anything except shoot and fight.

    On chapter 3 when fighting the chainsaw enemy you're supposed to use the grappling hook when the enemy gets to close to you but Agent CANT USE THE THING.

    After a hundred hours spent with RE6 I’m still hungry for more. While others complain that Resident Evil reached the gutter, I’m in love with the Mercenaries mode and superb combat system that lets you create unbelievable encounters. [06/2016, p.59]

    As expected, Resident Evil 6 — four years after its original release — remains one of the series’ most underbaked, underdeveloped and downright unappealing entries in a franchise that has claimed far greater heights in terms of gameplay and presentation.
