    Oh god how I wished I loved this game, I heard so many negative things about it before playing ,but I wanted with all my heart not to view it that way.Well my wish came true ,I adored this game ,it's easily in my top 10 favourite games. The gameplay is similar to Resident Evil 2 Remake yet more action packed .It's super fun and satisfying.There was not a single moment I    Score: 9.5/10

    The gameplay is similar to Resident Evil 2 Remake yet more action packed .It's super fun and satisfying.There was not a single moment I didn't enjoy in this game, not every game needs to be long and for me who have not played the original yet and I knew about the game's length it was an excellent experience .Nemesis is terrifying ,the atmosphere is great and eerie.There is a decent enemy variety to make the experience not stale.The bossfights were really good and intense and I enjoyed that the final fight had a little more into it than waiting and getting the big ass weapon and ending it in a single shot. The areas were fantastic ,all of them .Most of all I liked roaming to raccoon city and the hospital section ,they were phenomenal.There wasn't as much backtracking ,but I'm fine with it.Worth mentioning of course are the puzzles which were enjoyable to say the least.

    The cast was amazing .Jill is an amazing protagonist ,she shines way more here than she does in Resident Evil , she is probably my favourite video game protagonist along with Leon. Carlos was a great secondary character.At first I wasnt that much into playing as him ,but how can you not love this guy, I wouldn't want a Carlos-less world.Nemesis is a great antagonistic force that constantly greatly pushes the narrative .There are also more things going on,but I will avoid them cause I don't want to spoil.

    The game looks amazing ,the RE engine shows once again how great it is ,the graphics look stellar.
    I also need to say that the credits song was a really beautiful piece of music,it really made me feel nostalgic for some reason and warmed my heart.

    Overall,I have to say that it makes me sad when people don't respect this game,because even if there are many differences with the original ,much love was clearly poured into it and it's visible.It's an amazing game that needs more love and respect. I 100% recommend this very underrated gem of a game    … Expand

But despite the flaws, RE 3 is a joy to play and is visually spectacular. Replay value is solid due to plenty of in-game challenges that unlock content. The Resistance multiplayer mode is decent and will appeal to fans of "Dead by Daylight". Overall, RE 3 remakeWell-made and entertaining, but also disappointing.     The weakest Resident Evil Remake so far, it feels a little bit underwhelming but it's still entertaining even though some later parts drag on.
    First things first, the game is very linear and always holds the player's hand, especially in the first few hours, you literally just walk forward to watch cutscenes and interact with some things now and then.

    It's almost identical to Resident Evil 2 Remake in so many ways, and not in a good way, some areas are literally copy pasted, and there's no innovation. Also it's not very scary, the hospital section is a bit creepy and has a nice dark atmosphere, but some of the puzzles are quite tedious.

    What I liked the most is the core gameplay, it's overall an enjoyable game, the shooting feels satisfying, and the evade mechanic helps a lot, Jill's movement is perfect and works well with the gameplay mechanics.

    The characters are okay, I really liked Jill, she's very cute and badass, and her animations look smooth and adorable, she's pretty much the star of the show. Carlos is a cool companion and he has the stronger weapons, playing as him made the game more fun.

    Backtracking felt nice, the areas are a bit short but there's a good amount of exploration, you can find collectibles, resources, notes that give the story more depth and just random small little secrets.

    It's worth mentioning that the story is sadly very uninteresting, incredibly short, predictable with a terrible antagonist, and a lot of cut content. Lastly, Nemesis is unfortunately just some scripted sequences, and the boss fights are very disappointing. I really like his new design and voice though, he looks menacing and scary.

    In the end, I really wanted to like this game, and I kind of did... I mean, my thoughts about it are mostly positive, but it could've been so much more. Regardless, I had a good time playing though it even though it has some serious flaws.

    Final Rating: "Decent" ~ 6/10.    … Expand

    I can agree that the game is too short, I can agree that it's a pity that they cut iconic locations from the game, but I can't agree when someone writes that it's a bad game... it's far from such a rating! I even think that some elements (like the story) have even been improved. Feel that escape from the city now. This is that LAST ESCAPE from the original. There are several factors in the game that feel rougher than in the previous remake (Resident Evil 2), among those aspects is the inventory sistem that feels a less worse than Resident Evil 2, another task is the main character's (Carlos Oliveira and Jill Valentine)behavior in some parts of the game making jokes like Jill is a heart cold Girl. To finish my review it is impossible not to talk about the final fight with Nemesis that was a downgrade with the gameplay mechanics , the truth is that they could not complete it as much as they wanted due to the lack of time to publish the game.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. It's NOT entirely bad, but it IS the WORST of the RE Remake Franchise series. With that being said, I'll break it down in 2. The Good and the Bad.
    The Bad: The New design of the Nemesis is Terrible, doesn't even come close to the original. Every SINGLE time, that you fight the Nemesis, it is scripted (yes you DID fight the Nemesis in the original, in scripted parts. But in MANY occasions it was RANDOM), the Deletion of the WHOLE Clocktower Area was a TERRIBLE decision. The Good: The music is VERY reminiscent of 80s Horror/sci-fi, as a Gen-X Gamer I can testify for this. The new design of Carlos was a DEFINITE improvement and last the overall Graphics was Fantastic and that's what pretty much sugar coated the entire game. But again this is the WEAKEST of the ENTIRE RE Remake Franchise installments.    … Expand

    Kinda what I expected, is not as bad as some people say it is, however it was definitely not worth the full price since is VERY SHORT and has no replayabilty, it could ve been more open and better, yes, it could ve been more fun gameplay wise. This is in between re2 and re4 and has little stuff from each one of them, its not as restrained as re2 but its neither as fun as re4.

It was for me the biggest disappointment of all 2020 I would have sincerely preferred that it never came out ... After a memorable Resident Evil 2 Remake I am not I would never have expected from Capcom such a miserable and shameful treatment for the third chapter of the saga as my favorite oneThis game could have been a masterpiece but it is an insult to its original 1999 counterpart.     Less scary and more action. If you were too much scared to play RE2 or you wanted more action game then I definitely recommend this one because it feels like more action oriented DLC.

    A diferencia del remake de resident evil 2, este (sin dejar de ser un muy buen juego), se queda corto, se olvida de escenarios claves del original y eso le puede hacer perder encanto. Pero es un muy buen juego, que te mantendrá entretenido hasta el final.

    A remake full of disappointment. Capcom should have done a better job here. I like how the characters have been improved over the original but many of the original game content was cut from the remake, which I have no idea why. A remake should capture the charm of the original game and even add to it. This remake does the opposite.

I had to replay all of the nemesis boss fights twice because the cutscenes failed to trigger as well as the hospital defense scenario. Explosive weapons didn't start working until after the first time I died. It's a very short game. Can be completed in 2 hours and most of the puzzle sequences were removed. Zero replay ability. Save your money.… Expand

    This game is fun, always engaging no downtime I was never bored. (for example resident evil 3 had sections which are fun only on the first play through, however on repeat play through a they were annoying at best). But re3 i think is very well designed for repeat playthroughs

    Хороший ремейк устаревший классики, переиздание 2ой части обителей зла задал невероятный уровень, после чего от 3ей части многие ожидали как минимум качество не хуже 2ой, однако у игры есть много проблем, в частности то, что большая чать сюжета и геймплея из оригинала была урезана, игра спокойно проходится за 4 часа и меньше даже на высоком уровне сложности, а в некоторые моменты тыХороший ремейк устаревший классики, переиздание 2ой части обителей зла задал невероятный уровень, после чего от 3ей части многие ожидали как минимум качество не хуже 2ой, однако у игры есть много проблем, в частности то, что большая чать сюжета и геймплея из оригинала была урезана, игра спокойно проходится за 4 часа и меньше даже на высоком уровне сложности, а в некоторые моменты ты чувствуешь, что разработчик специально затягивает геймплей. Но у игры есть множество положительных моментов: главным плюсом является то, что геймплей и механники из 2ой части полностью перешли в 3ью, из-за чего обе эти игры воспринимаются как одна история, которая не оставляет тебя равнодушным. Nemesis at the downtown was terrifying with his new design, even though that he goes down by one grenade. But if you play it on nightmare or inferno there will be a small chance that you will even get a grenade because you have to use them against the other monsters. I love this version of Jill and Carlos too!.

    Literally every encounter i had with the nemesis was terrifying. And they should have included the clock tower.


    I really think that they could have done way better with this game but unfortunately no.

    This game is a solid 7.9/10.

    And btw when the nemesis turned into that dog thing he wasn't even scary. But when he turned into that giant thingh in the end, he was a little scary... Just a bit.    … Expand

    First ever resident evil game I’ve played and WOW I was hooked from the get go, great atmosphere, great graphics and gutted now I’ve completed it, but been out and brought number 2 remake and village can’t wait to play them

    I was never interested in playing Resident Evil 3, but after playing Resident Evil 2, I wanted to play even more Resident Evil games.
    I could've played Resident Evil 7: biohazard, however, I'm not a big fan of horror games, so I decided to play Resident Evil 3 because it doesn't emphasize on horror as much as Resident Evil 7 does.
    Just like in every other Resident Evil game I've played,    I was never interested in playing Resident Evil 3, but after playing Resident Evil 2, I wanted to play even more Resident Evil games.
    I could've played Resident Evil 7: biohazard, however, I'm not a big fan of horror games, so I decided to play Resident Evil 3 because it doesn't emphasize on horror as much as Resident Evil 7 does.
    Just like in every other Resident Evil game I've played, the story in Resident Evil 3 isn't good but it's not an important part of these games anyway.
    The characters though, they're... alright, I guess? The side-characters are completely irrelevant but the main characters are actually pretty likable.
    The gameplay is very similar to Resident Evil 2's gameplay but faster and more smooth, it's extremely fun once again, however, the headshots don't feel as satisfying for some reason, and the puzzles have been toned down so much, they're almost absent.
    Also, the atmosphere is really good for the most part and it's not surprising that the graphics are incredible, and the audio design is amazing too.
    Now, I haven't played the original game before, so I don't mind the cut content, however, I suppose because of that, the game is very short; it only took me 4 to 5 hours to finish my playthrough, and that's a bit underwhelming.
    Last but not least, Nemesis, a tyrant who is supposed to be a major threat in the game, is not utilized well; he only appears in linear scripted events or boss fights, which are disappointing.

    Pros:

    + Serviceable characters
    + Great atmosphere
    + Fantastic visuals & audio

    Cons:
    - Puzzles are lacking
    - Short run-time
    - Nemesis & boss fights

    Resident Evil 3 might be a weak Remake but it's actually a good game on it's own, despite mostly feeling like it's an overglorified DLC for Resident Evil 2.

    Do I recommend it?:
    To be honest, I'd recommend playing Resident Evil 2 instead, but if you already played Resident Evil 2 before, I'd recommend Resident Evil 3 at low price.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. if you’ve played the original resident evil 3 you can tell from the start of this remake that it is a blatant cash grab after how well the resident evil 2 remake did for capcom. they’ve cut so much content from the original game and made the game a linear walking/cutscene simulator. nemesis is completely downgraded and will only show up when it is a scripted event, whereas in the original he was RNG based which made him unpredictable and scarier. you can take nemesis down with a single grenade in the starting modes but in the original you would use up all of your ammo to take him down. they have ruined jill’s character turning her from a sweet but badass hero to a total **** who won’t accept help from anybody. her outfit is bleak, just a tank top and jeans, same treatment they did for claire in the re2make, and if you want her original outfit then you have to spend more of your money on it. the game is extremely short due to capcom being too lazy to add in most areas and boss fights from the original. i’m convinced jill and carlos aren’t scared in the slightest by nemesis, you’ve only seen him for about half an hour and they’ve already sworn at him, took him down easily and walked away like he was a little inconvenience. all exploration is gone and is instead replaced by holding up on the controller for scripted events and watching cutscenes. the puzzles are made for babies which isn’t surprising as games now have a tendency of holding your hand and acting like you have a mental age of 5 years old. not a good stand alone game or a good remake.… Expand

They were so proud and happy with the result, but since this game sucks and fails as a remake in every way possible, that video is ironic at best and very unprofressional from them at worst.

    Second of all: cut content. The original 700Mb PS1 game beats this mess every day of the week, from here to eternity. Locations, bosses, files, mini-games, and cool little details such as Dario Rosso's diary. Folks, Raccoon City is now a Donut Store, a Police Station, some roofs, a room full of boxes, an Electric Company and a Cable Car plant. Only in Pokémon games you could find "cities" with so few houses.

    Third of all: No atmosphere, just scripted stuff that only a middle-schooler could write.

    Jill is just playing the tomboy role, and she seems to be indestructible like the characters of an action movie. What a waste of time waiting for this "remake" to be done for almost 10 years.
    Who tells this is a good game clearly hasn't played the original. This franchise is done.    … Expand

    It just can't compete with the RE2 Remake as it feels like less of a complete experience overall. It's so strange they cut the clock tower portion of the game considering they had the police station already built from RE2 Remake. Kind of feels lazy. It's fun to play - no doubt! As it's more action focused and includes a dodge, but pick it up on a heavy sale.

    It all sounds great until you scratch the surface away. Resident Evil 3: Remake suffers in a similar, if worse, way as the original did (the original is by far my favourite game from its trilogy): a lack of any real care. Where 2 was painstakingly built, 3 cheaply reuses, butchers, and churns out just what it needs to deliver and nothing more. 3: Remake takes those things and regresses them further, removing fan-favourite sections of the game and reducing its main and iconic villain of Nemesis to an unexciting annoyance.

    Jill, probably the most underutilised core character, deserved better.

    - Much fewer puzzles than RE2
    - Gore has been reduced; for example, you can't see body parts on the ground, you can't cut a zombie in half with a shotgun, and you can't dismember a zombie if it's "dead". However, dismemberment still exists.
    - Missed opportunity to bring back multiple choices and have Jill take different paths to reach her goals like in the original.
    - Raccoon City and Nemesis are very underused.
    - Very few costumes.
    - Wasted potential, the remake could have been much better.

    This could have been so so so much more. One of the best RE bosses, was just wasted in this weak game. There's moments that are well done, but overall it deserved so much more. Jill deserved so much more as well, she was too monotone here imo. Hopefully they don't repeat this mistake with RE4.

And how the hell can she lift that damn thing? (not mentioning what, to keep spoilers out)

    Overall, the game might be better for someone who isn't die-hard for RE. Especially after playing RE2 Remake, this one was obvious it had the multiple development issues it was accused of.    … Expand

    As someone with little experience in the REverse, I thought the game was pretty good. It looks and sounds really good, gameplay is solid. I felt stressed out the entire time, which I believe is the intended result (granted, I'm a baby with horror games). Yes, it it short, but what is contained is pretty decent. Worth at least a quick playthrough, if nothing else.

    - En el apartado musical y efecto sonoros. Nos encontramos de la misma forma que con los gráficos en un entorno inmersivo, Que nos proporciona esos picos de tensión y esos momentos de calma. Las armas y los zombies también suenan geniales. Todos los elemntos auditivos que se pueden encontrar en el juego contribuyen notablemente a la fluidez del juego, acompañan a la tensión y a la acción de manera simbiótica perfectamente orquestada.

    Multijugador
    - El multijugador es de aquellas cosas que si bien no molesta que estén, tampoco habríamos notado su ausencia. RE Resitance es muy descafeinado. No aporta, faltan personas en el Matchmaking, es poco creíble. En definitiva es un apartado que en mi caso no me ha interesado nada pero tampoco hay ningún elemento que me invite a seguir jugando al multijugador. No es atrayente.
    Duración
    - Es un juego muy corto, de ahí el intento de incluir el multijugador. Al tratarse de un juego de mucha más acción que el 2, con mucho menos componente de exploración y más frenético. Te pasarás la mayor parte del juego corriendo. No quiero decir con esto que por ser un juego corto sea malo. En absoluto es malo si bien es cierto que se siente una vez terminado que falta algo más que apenas te has puesto con él. Entiendo que aumentando el nivel de dificultad aumente la duracción, pero en puzzles y exploración seguirá siendo un juego pobre en este apartado, aunque el original tampoco destacaba por ser un juego largo precisamente.

    - El multijugador es de aquellas cosas que si bien no molesta que estén, tampoco habríamos notado su ausencia. RE Resitance es muy descafeinado. No aporta, faltan personas en el Matchmaking, es poco creíble. En definitiva es un apartado que en mi caso no me ha interesado nada pero tampoco hay ningún elemento que me invite a seguir jugando al multijugador. No es atrayente.
    Duración
    - Es un juego muy corto, de ahí el intento de incluir el multijugador. Al tratarse de un juego de mucha más acción que el 2, con mucho menos componente de exploración y más frenético. Te pasarás la mayor parte del juego corriendo. No quiero decir con esto que por ser un juego corto sea malo. En absoluto es malo si bien es cierto que se siente una vez terminado que falta algo más que apenas te has puesto con él. Entiendo que aumentando el nivel de dificultad aumente la duracción, pero en puzzles y exploración seguirá siendo un juego pobre en este apartado, aunque el original tampoco destacaba por ser un juego largo precisamente.    … Expand

    Un Resident Evil con todas las letras. No he jugado el clásico, no me importa tampoco, no soy un purista ni mucho menos, por lo que paso de compararlo. Se puede decir que desde Capcom son unos maestros sacándole partido a sus creaciones. Algo que en mi opinión debería hacer tambien Konami. Saldríamos ganando los jugadores.     Se puede decir que desde Capcom son unos maestros sacándole partido a sus creaciones. Algo que en mi opinión debería hacer tambien Konami. Saldríamos ganando los jugadores. El RE Engine que debutó en Resident Evil VII sigue funcionando de lujo. El juego se ve genial y mola bastante. Su prinicpal inconveniente es que quizás se hace corto. Pero tambien es verdad que en esta era de juegos de varias decenas de horas de partida se agradece algo más escueto, para bajar la pila de pendientes.

    El juego nos ofrece lo típico, historia ambientada en Racoon City inmediatamente despues de la historia del Resident Evil original, concretamente unos minutos antes de que Leon llegue a la comisaría en Resident Evil 2. Centrándose la historia en Jill Valetine, una S.T.A.R.S. que está en su apartamento cuando la emieza a perseguir Némesis, un bicho terrible que lo que quiere es acabar con tocos los S.T.A.R.S. y ella es la última, por lo que la perseguirá sin descanso mientras ella intenta hacerse con la vacuna para terminar con el caos que envuelve a la ciudad.

    El juego es un shooter de terror en tercera persona, donde tendremos que superar varios niveles en diferentes localizaciones tratando de resolver los puzzles para avanzar, matando zombies y otras abominaciones o bien huyendo de ellos, lo que nos permita la munición que llevemos. La gestión de un limitado inventario tambien será una interesante mecánica contra la que tendremos que luchar.

    Aparte del juego base que puede rejugarse para conseguir coleccionables y demás incluye Resident Evil:Resistance que es otro juego cooperativo en tercera persona que se centra en la experiencia multijugador y al que se le pueden dar unas horas, aumentando la vida útil del producto.

    Pues con todo esto me parece una excelente adición a la colección de Resident Evil que ya está disponible para la consola de Sony. Recomendado a los fans de la saga de Capcom    … Expand

    The game is not bad, but it's rushed and it's visible. Super short, without the gimmicks from 2-remake, with the cut story. It's still fun to play once you find it on the sale because it's a solid game. But it's definitely weaker than the previous remake, unfortunately.

    Man this game had a bunch of potential but it just seemed like the game was rushed and a bunch of stuff from the original is missing , but with what they had it wasn't that bad of a game , I actually think its quite decent actually. I also just wish Nemesis played a lot like mr.x rather than being triggered by cutscenes and pre determined chase scenes and linear scenes

    dont buy. you will feel your time is being wasted. this game is a chore. The final boss fight is an embarrassing joke. I can't believe someone okay'ed that to be released in such a state. Half the time, you have no control over what the avatar does in game. It's a mess...

Gameplay is great and most levels are well designed and fraught with threats. The levels feel more linear than previous installment Resident Evil 2. I seldom had to go out of my way to find hidden items or secret areas. RE3 also provides an abundance of items and ammo to get through presented challenges; a stark contrast to RE2. RE3's crafting system is identical to RE2 and works extremely well. The player has full control over what types of ammo they want to prioritize crafting. RE3 also switches between two playable characters: Jill and Carlos. The swaps do not feel out of place in the story, and each character plays differently because of their different weapons. The character swap also resets some of the urgency in scouring the world for items. While playing Jill, I knew I had quantitative reserves of healing materials and ammo in my storage. Some of the early boss encounters with Nemesis are obtuse in design but climatic battles with it later in the game are well done. My most memorable moment has to be the final showdown with Nemesis and Jill’s on point one-liner. Overall, Resident Evil 3 provides a short but succinct, well-presented story with great gameplay.… Expand

    The game is not bad, it's got different, kinda generic locations. The graphics are amazing. Gameplay is smooth, the story is good. The downside is that the game is short for the money.

    Very good game, i like the gameplay, and the new dodge move, the nemisis wasn't bad at all, but the game is too short, re2 was better imo

    Least ambitious project to date. If anyone thinks this is good or disagrees with "haters" clearly have no idea what are the problems in this game. People calling this title good, have a really low bar for gaming standards. This is an insult to the original.

    I give it a three because it looks really nice.... beyond that i don't know what the **** they where thinking when they decided to do this, they ruined everything that made RE3 awesome, they modified the complete walkthrough, removed the puzzles, made Nemesis a ****ing joke..... And even is short as **** you cant even enjoy it....

    Get away from this piece of trash, incredible that they    I give it a three because it looks really nice.... beyond that i don't know what the **** they where thinking when they decided to do this, they ruined everything that made RE3 awesome, they modified the complete walkthrough, removed the puzzles, made Nemesis a ****ing joke..... And even is short as **** you cant even enjoy it....

    Beautiful game but a little disappointing for the important cuts in the story. capcom wasted a golden opportunity because RE3 could have been even more.

    Even though it is a very successful game, you will feel a little disappointed. Compared to the remake of the second game, this one often loses its pace and it is impossible to get rid of the impression that there could and should have been more to this game. [Issue#303]

    After a stellar remake of an arguably the best Resident Evil game ever made, Capcom has let down our expectations by giving us a more scripted, more linear survival horror action game that will probably be forgotten like so many sequels that have gone the path of less resistance when it comes to game design. RE3 make feels more like a DLC than a full-blown game.
