    They butchered this game and called a "re imagination" to get away with a lot a cut content like:
    No park, Clock Tower, enemies/Bosses, entire ares cut, NO PUZZLES, no 2 paths choice, no Mercenaries.
    They reused assets from RE7 e RE2 like: Same zombies(not even having a different skin), same environment, items and even GUNS(the magnum is a copy paste from RE2 remake) And even having all

    Nemeses is a joke in this game.
    This is a corridor shooter, there is no survival horror in this game.
    Jill Character turned into a SJW with a dirty mouth, always acts like she is triggered by everything.

It's not that it's a bad game. It controls well and it absolutely looks amazing, especially on the Pro and the HDR is implemented much better than 2 but that's about where it stops as far as it being superiorto RE2! For one Capcom cut so much material and locations from this game. The clock tower which played a crucial role in the original is gone (albeit in the background as an Easter egg) the park which was a nice change of scenery in the original had been cut to a connector area with no enemies and no Gravedigger boss fight!!!!! The Dead Factory which was such a creepy and cool place and featured the final fight with Nemesis is gone..... gone! Also Capcom had a chance to expand upon Raccoon City and really flesh it out but again it seems rushed. Sure it looks incredible and you can go in buildings but once you trigger the next story sequence your exploring is cut short and there's no going back. It's a big bummer. Speaking of Nemesis, he's supposed to be the big scary Tyrant that's superior to Mr X. Well he's not. Mr X in thd RE2 Remake legitimately frightened me! Running and hiding in a safe home or being on one floor and hearing his footsteps and not knowing where they were coming from was unnerving to say the least. They expanded upon the OG Mr X and made him a worthy adversary but they went the complete opposite with Nemesis! Most of the encounters with him are cinematic, quick timed events. There are s few encounters in the early part of the game that are scary but halfway through the pacing becomes bipolar!

    It's also really short. About six hours and it's over and there's little incentive to replay it too. It seems the inclusion of Resistance was supposed to make up for the lack of content but it doesn't. I didn't buy RE Resistance, I bought RE3 Nemesis Remake! It's not that scary either. It looks amazing, controls great and Jill is reimagined perfectly! She's a believable badass protagonist but it's just sad she's stuck in this game!

This game was obviously rushed, and I have a theory that it was because of the online game Resistance. Before anyone knew about RE3R they came with the Resistance project just to find out that nobody cares about it, so, to avoid a colossal failure, they decided to rush a game that could have been 10 times better, selling it at a very high price that people that were satisfied with RE2R would pay at Pre-Order. I don't like how Jill acts, and I'm not referring to her abrasive tone, but more that she's constantly making quips and snarky remarks during fights. It just doesn't make sense considering the game starts and immediately implies she has PTSD from the events of RE1.
    As a game, it's fun enough. It's incredibly short and very light on content though. There's very few bonus costumes and there's no extra modes beyond more difficulties.
    In the end, the game felt very rushed and lacked the polish of RE2, on top of inexplicably being 80% different from the original game.
    Very disappointing, especially when compared to the RE1 and RE2 remakes.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This GAME was a TOTAL SCAM from CR4PCØM.
    To supposedly be a FULL Game, it feels more like just a DLC of BIOHAZARD 2{2019}; It's too expensive considering the quantity of content than it has, DEFINITELY NOT WORTH 60 DOLLARS.
    It's developers even removed too much content, which it's odd when one considers the fact of the same being a 2020 game, not a 1999 game, even whole areas with respect to its original version from 1999 were entirely removed, like the City Hall, the Press Office, St. Michael's Clock Tower, the Raccoon Park, the Cemetery & the Incineration Disposal Plant P-12A; It doesn't even have the "Live Selection", which was basically the main reason of why its original version was so interesting & popular.
    It has lots of unpolished animations, like when Jill breasts suddenly get bigger & move themselves in a very unrealistic way in places like elevators; Zombie corpses can float in the air, or their corpses can explode like balloons; Zombies can make some very weird biting animations; Zombie Gore was severely downgraded in comparison with BIOHAZARD 2{2019}; The zombies are always animate at a maximum of 30 FPS when they are just a bit far from the player; Some parts of it has some very low textures, which is odd for a 2020 game, like the og picture of the S.T.A.R.S. team at the S.T.A.R.S. office.
    BTW: Thanx CR4PCØM, for turning Jill Valentine into a SJW stereotype of a Mary Sue in the style & looks of Alice Abernathy{Milla Jovob¡tch}, to such a degree, that Jill in this title can even lift & use, a Railgun that will weigh at least 45 kg & all by herself, "because something of the sort is VERY REALISTIC!" Also, for making Carlos Oliveira stick his finger in the plug & basically turning him on Chris 2.0, being Carlos in this title even capable of killing BOWs, like the Hunters, by just punching them, "because we all know that something of the sort is also VERY REALISTIC!!"

    The game is identical to the RE2 Remake. Nothing changes. However, they had everything ready to produce the game, since the entire model of the game was captured from the RE2 remake. Still, they managed to destroy a game with a nonsensical story and without several important scenarios of the classic.
    Couple this with a 4-hour campaign, a nemesis that manages to impose less respect than an ordinary zombie in the game and .. we have a very lazy resident evil 3, along the lines of the work model that capcom so much heard was bad in Resident evil 6.
    I hope it's the end of remakes, not doing it is better than doing it poorly.

    Underwhelming and unambitious. instead of remaking and expanding the original, they took the best parts of the original game like puzzles, game choices, classic locations etc. The game's antagonist was an upgraded version of RE2 remake's Mr. X but it feels like the nemesis is more Mr. X from the original resident evil 2; He mostly always appears in scripted parts of the game rather thanUnderwhelming and unambitious. instead of remaking and expanding the original, they took the best parts of the original game like puzzles, game choices, classic locations etc. The game's antagonist was an upgraded version of RE2 remake's Mr. X but it feels like the nemesis is more Mr. X from the original resident evil 2; He mostly always appears in scripted parts of the game rather than actually being stalked around the city like remake Mr. X and OG Nemesis. Is the game's gore censored? I can't shoot limbs off of zombies. The game is also too linear, there's almost no freedom to explore like the re2 remake and the original games. The QTE feels so forced and out of place and ruined the final boss. Nemesis NEVER shows up without a cutscene or some kind of forced quick-time event sequence. This wasn't what I was expecting. One of the Worst parts of the Nemesis character is the final encounter...u don't lure the antagonist in front of a giant gun...you just press a button and the game's cutscene destroys it for good. You can even take him out with a grenade!!!! He's that easy. The whole was easy.
    The second worst thing is the pacing...the game is JUST TOO SHORT. It's shorter than the original.
    Not entirely bad, it's rich in graphics, environment and tone, game mechanics and new enemies and enjoyable action game. Unfortunately, this is mostly a recycled game not worth $60, I enjoyed Resident Evil 5 more than this.
    Now the very that gives me flashbacks of Dante from 2013's Devil May Cry: Jill Valentine. Jill had a great voice actor but was boring as hell in this game, she went from cute but resourceful go-getter who has deep empathy for others but will kick your ass if she has to a one-dimensional hard-ass who swears like a sailor and takes no crap. She has a couple of moments of levity, especially with Carlos which is nice but she's just tough and stoic, generally boring and unsympathetic telling Nemesis to suck it. I find most of her badassery feels forced and cringe. I thought RE5 Jill was bad but this is even worse, she is now an all-powerful badass who can carry a large rail gun despite being in a smaller thin buddy. I hope the Jill picking up the railgun thing becomes a meme like Chris punching that boulder in RE5.
    All in all, I want my $60 bucks back.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. It's very difficult for me to express just how appalled and disgusted I am with Capcom's decision to outsource this game and, as a result; completely sabotage the opportunity they had to make a truly outstanding remake as they had done with Resident Evil 2. I am even more so disgusted with the amount of fake positive reviews left on here to help boost the game's sales.

    This game is missing pretty much all the content from the original Resident Evil 3. There are only three mandatory puzzles in this game, and certain enemies such as the Grave Digger, Brain Suckers and Crows have been scrapped. The zombie dogs only show up twice and the Drain Demos have been replaced by strange insectoid-looking creatures that present little challenge to the player. Many of the games iconic locations have been removed altogether, I have listed these locations here - Raccoon City up-town (this includes the beginning streets and Bar where we find Brad), Raccoon City Park, News Agency Building, Restaurant, Gas Station, Garage, Dead Factory, Clock-Tower.

    It should also be noted that (in this remake) Jill does not make her way to the R.P.D to witness the death of her friend and team-mate Brad Vickers. The player takes control of Carlos Oliveira, who witnesses Marvin Branagh being attacked by a zombie-Brad Vickers. Somehow, Brad is still able to talk in his undead state, and is killed by Carlos in the courtyard of the R.P.D.

    The new streets of Raccoon City in this remake feel very limited and artificial, there is almost no immersion whatsoever. The Nemesis is only in the game for a very short period, and he does not freely chase you as he did in the original, instead he only shows up for linear "boss fights".

    Mercenaries mode has been scrapped, this is probably down to the sheer lack of content in the mere 5 hour-long campaign, leaving mercenaries mode redundant in this remake. In it's place is a multiplayer mode called "Resistance". Nobody asked for this rubbish and I honestly don't understand why developers are so obsessed with implementing multiplayer modes into single-player games?

    The gore has been completely toned down in this game. The limbs no longer linger around with ragdoll effects. You can no longer continue to dismember a zombie after they’ve fallen or lost a limb. Bloodstains are no longer persistent within the instance. Bodies also no longer ragdoll once they’ve been set to the “dead” state and zombies can’t be blown in half by a shotgun at close range. This is quite different from the way the “wet gore” was utilized in the RE Engine for Resident Evil 2 Remake.

    In the original Resident Evil 3 there were choices the player could make, these choices have been removed and so have the multiple endings. Jill's character has been toned down due to the agenda that is known as "political correctness". Her original outfit is available for purchase as DLC, but her skirt was changed to shorts because they didn't want to offend the SJW's who are currently destroying the entertainment industry.

    Well, I really don't know what else there is to say. I could go on but I feel I have written more than enough to give you all some insight as to why this game is so terrible. Don't buy it. In my eyes it is a major let down and a massive downgrade from Resident Evil 2.

Expand

    Will call this out for the greedy cash grab that it is. I was looking forward to playing this during the quarantine (ironic huh). Like many good reviewers already said, this feels like a good DLC and is not worth its price tag. I can see the Capcom in this game that gave us RE5,6 and other mediocre games

    too much content is cut, the game is rushed and doesn't feel like a real Resident Evil game more like a bad copy. in a remake you must add stuff not cut, remaking a game from 1999 must be better in 2020.

    The original Resident Evil 3: Nemesis did not feel like a Resident Evil game. It was an action oriented experience which many fans disliked at the time. It was an action oriented experience which many fans disliked at the time. This remake was a chance to strike a tonal balance between the series' identity as Survival-horror and the Action-oriented nature of the original game. Unfortunately this remake failed and the result is a poorly paced, tonally inconsistent entry to the series which will fall short of the majority of consumers expectations. In the opening hours it becomes clear that Resident Evil 3 remake lacks the significant maze-like level design that made the previous two entries to the series; Resident Evil 7 (RE7) and last years remake; Resident Evil 2 (RE2R), such a joy to explore. Instead players will here find a title which quickly becomes a linear experience ridden with set pieces with no need for the player to consider planning a route. Expectations regarding this title's main antagonist, Nemesis, were understandably high after experiencing the harrowing encounters with the villains Jack Baker and Mr X in previous games. Unfortunately the emergent gameplay many were hoping for is mostly absent from this title. Nemesis is largely relegated to highly scripted sequences and the generic boss fights reminiscent of weaker Resident Evil titles. There's a reason why this remake isn't given the full title of it's source material. Many fans deciding whether or not to pick up this remake will be anxious to know whether their favourite parts of the original game made the cut. Well, unlike last years remake, this title fails to take the majority of it's source material and reproduce it in a faithful fashion. Large sections of the original game, enemies and a boss fight have been cut from this remake. This could be forgiven were it not for the game's pitiful runtime. Last year's remake managed to take it's original's run time and significantly increase it to meet modern expectations without it ever feeling padded. Most players got at least 13 hours out of RE2R without having to consider starting a true second playthrough. People's expectations were therefore high for this game and, when combined with the 60 dollar price tag, are justified in expecting a campaign comparable to the likes of RE2R. Unfortunately this remake fails to significantly extend it's campaign beyond the length of the original to something modern audiences have come to expect. At just 7 hours for an initial playthrough this title really stretches our ideas about the subjective value one can put on a game.

    This is perhaps why Capcom have bundled this title with a buggy, unbalanced multiplayer mode in the form of Resident Evil: Resistance. It is important to note that extra modes seen in previous Resident Evil titles have never before had to justify the lack of content in their single player modes, the latter of which being the main reason most people buy these games. Had it been given another year of development this title could have been the remake everyone was expecting. Unfortunately, despite glossy visuals the game manages to be underwhelming in terms of level design, Nemesis encounters, faithfulness to the original, campaign duration and value for money. Consumers should wait for a sale when considering purchasing this game which should really have been sold as 30 dollar DLC for last year's excellent RE2R.

    in my honest opinion as a fan of the franchise if you are buying this package only for RE3, I'd advice to wait until the price drops to 30~40$, this game is worth playing and pretty fun even to replay multiple times. if you gonna play Project Resistance too, then all power to you and the price of 60$ is a bit easier to gulp in that case.

    On top of that they seem to have started the game partway through after you meet Carlos. Ok, they added some stuff into the hospital and another nest, but I didn’t think they were all that.

    They also changed the game to be linear and too action-heavy. Yes, the original was more action-Y than the 2nd but it wasn’t combat focused. There was no need to shoot zombies or kill nemesis outside of boss fights.

    The original took me about 10 or so hours the first time. This took me about 4 or 5. I’m sorry but it’s a crap remake. Maybe it's a good game more broadly if you know nothing about the original. But it’s lost all of its personality.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view.

    RE3 was my first game and it was in Jap language but still it hooked me and because horror genre is my favorite genre when it comes to movies since i was kid. And that game just blew me away. And since Resident Evil HD Remake I've been waiting for a RE3 Remake and when RE2 Rem dropped and i played it i was a very happy day for me not only bevause that game was amazing but it gabe me hope for the RE3 Remake. Then capcom dropped the trailer and i couldn't control my emotions, the game which introduced me to proper gaming was now finally coming. And then i played the demo and i was so happy that i cant express it. And the the game released.....
    Finished it in around 5 hrs, almost all of the puzzles were cut down, multiple options are not there, atleast half of the game is missing if not more. Nemesis is a joke compared to the original as a boss, sure his other form in the remake is cool but the tension he created in the original wasnt there at all in the remake. Sure the game was cool but compared to re2 rem and the original re3 that game was like an insult tothe fans like me. I cant control my anger if i had the powernthen i would have fire the guys who made that stupid decision. Yeah if they released the game as a dlc and from 20 to 25$ tops then my disappointment would have been alot less and may be i would have been ok with because it being just a dlc to re2 rem.
    If i neglect my anger and disappointment then the game is 7 at best compared to re2 rem and not a buy for 60$ (30$ at best) but i am giving it a 0 hoping someone at crapcom sees the 0 and descide to read it so they can learn what have they done to fan like me of the game. Remember how disfigured and scary looking our Nemesis from RE3 used to be? Now he looks like a circus clown who likes to play and entertain Jill rather than kill her. What happened to the random encounters with Nemesis Capcom? What happened to losing our **** when we first laid our very eyes on Nemesis at the R.P.D. building? Nemesis creeping up on Jill early on in her house ? Some glorious encounter that is. What happened to the good old clock tower and its endearing puzzles? What happened to decision making? I know:

    Nothing short of money-grubbing and laziness happened .

    It pains me to write about how poorly the script was written, so I'm going to put that aside.
    I only have one question for Capcom: did you even try to remain faithful to the source material?

    The zombie and monster Artificial intelligence is really bad, zombies would attack the walls insted of me.

    The gore has been downgraded. The limbs of the zombies explode insted of falling off.
    Mr. X was quite fun and a challenge, Nemesis is scripted and easy to take down.

    Numerous part of the original game were cut off: clock tower, park, gas station, etc. Making the game super short even if is your first time playing it. It took me 4 hours to finish it.

    For a zombie game it lacks of Zombies. Resident evil 2 remake had a lot of enemies roaming around the 4 stages, but in resident evil 3 for a freaking city there is no zombies at all.

    There are no puzzles, that's a trade mark of the series.

    It's garbage it is as ash grab.

    Trash fire of a game.
    Graphics do not make the game and this 1 does not stand out even for that.

    First of all, I would like to talk about the main frustration of the game: Nemesis. He is no longer the relentless Nemesis that haunts you all the time. This only happens at a single point in the game. And it is not the same sensation because he jumps like the Hulk and just appears in front of Jill. It is not a shark that slowly approaches its food. They should have taken advantage of that element that was already present in 2 Remake.
    Anyway, Nemesis is just an excuse for action scenes. You just need to press forward and sometimes use the dodge than you will never die. He's MUCH inferior to Mr. X. And, unlike Mr. X, Nemesis IS the heart of Resident Evil 3.
    It does not stop there. In addition to taking the heart of the Resident Evil 3 Original, they also cut landscapes, scenery and especially all the puzzles in the original game.
    For all this, it is a game that is only worth buying when you have a discount and a nice discount. Despite being fun and good, it is very short and disappointing.

    Pros:
    + Graphics;
    + Mechanics / gameplay;
    + Human characters (specially Jill and Carlos);
    + Substation area was short, but amazing;
    + Hospital area as well.

    Cons:
    - Short campaign;
    - Few enemies;
    - Few puzzles;
    - Price.

    Cons (comparison to classic):
    - Nemesis make me fell like I was been chasing by the Terminator;
    - Nemesis second form looks like Alien! (Are you serious Capcom?);
    - Where is the rest of Raccoon City?;
    - Nemesis fights were odd;
    - Beginning;
    - Ending.

    Unfortunately, as a fan of RE 3 classic, for me this game is poor. Again, it could have been much better. What a shame...

    I’ve been with this franchise from the ps1 days and there have been very many highs and lows. RE2 remake was a fantastic game!! But I am so disappointed with RE3 remake. This feels like RE6 all over again:( I hate saying that but it’s true.

    Even though it is a very successful game, you will feel a little disappointed. Compared to the remake of the second game, this one often loses its pace and it is impossible to get rid of the impression that there could and should have been more to this game. [Issue#303]

    All we can say is that six hours of Resident Evil 3 is just enough - and we're aware that's both compliment and curse. [Issue#346, p.88]

    After a stellar remake of an arguably the best Resident Evil game ever made, Capcom has let down our expectations by giving us a more scripted, more linear survival horror action game that will probably be forgotten like so many sequels that have gone the path of less resistance when it comes to game design. RE3 make feels more like a DLC than a full-blown game.
