    Really entertaining racing game. Might be side step from Project CARS series but still it's fun. Adding 10 to counter those *** who gave it 0. Totaly unjustified hate from this mob.

    In fact, this is a very cool game! Behind the external seeming simplicity is a lot of models of car castomization and their changing behavior. A lot of work was done by the developers, and all this looks very cool and high-quality. Yes, this is not at all the format that PCars 1 and 2, but this fact itself does not mean that the game is bad at all. A huge number of cars, tracks,In fact, this is a very cool game! Behind the external seeming simplicity is a lot of models of car castomization and their changing behavior. A lot of work was done by the developers, and all this looks very cool and high-quality. Yes, this is not at all the format that PCars 1 and 2, but this fact itself does not mean that the game is bad at all. A huge number of cars, tracks, interesting competitions.     It's a bit of a tragedy. i never thought the pCARS games were good games, but at least they were mediocre sims. pCARS 3 is a MUCH better GAME than its predecessors, the career is much better and it's much more fun to play with a controller now, which was almost unplayable before.

    It's a lot of fun to finally be able to enjoy those great tracks, that have always existed, in a more arcade like racer, but it defies my understanding why they didn't call it Shift 3 instead, as that is basically what this game is.

    The game is nothing like the first two games, which seems like suicide from the marketing perspective, as it's clear as sauce this will greatly anger the long time fans and probably be overlooked by the more casual racers, who like Forza Horizon or GRiD, cause that's where this game is aimed at now.

    From a GAMER'S perspective I have WAY MORE fun with this game, than with the other two games though, UNTIL......

    Yeah, until one discovers, that the progression in this game feels very level-gated, which gives the whole game the feeling of a mobile game, which is somehow underlined by the truly lacklustre presentation, which looks clearly worse than on pCARS2, all while not really performing better.

    The VR mode atm is broken and unplayable for me, as it unexplicably jitters along from time to time.

    Sorry SMS, your last two games already released broken and unfinished but were never fixed. Please do better this time.

    As a verdict: I don't understand who this game is for. This would be a good game without the mobile progression, which simply reeks like GaaS and monetisation.

    I'd give it an 8, if it wasn't for that, but as it is I can't give more than a 6 right now.    … Expand

    Great game for arcade fans.Very huge content (tracks and cars) .I am enjoying game.For sim fans you have other games like iracing,automobilista,etc.
    I do not think PC3 devs never told or promised or advertised that it is a sim racing game then why negative comments???.

    1.Over 120 tracks and 200+ cars .More coming via DLCs.
    2.controller support.I bought PC2 and not played much because lack of controller support.
    3.No Micro transactions.
    4.More hours of Career fun.

    Metacritic users tend to be dramatic and destroy video games that are not "bad" on absurd whims. Project Cars 3 isn't perfect, but it's the only racing video game other than Gran Turismo Sport that has had me glued to my PS4 for a long time. PC3 is a fun and addictive simcade with a huge variety of tracks and a good selection of cars.     Project Cars 3 is awesome. Yeah, yeah, yeah it shouldn't have been called Project Cars 3 it should have been 'Project Race' or something. But stop getting upset about that and enjoy the most thrilling, fun and immersive racing game ever made.

    Love this game. It’s super fun to play, the handling ist great. The graphics on the ps4 are meh but the gameplay makes up for it

    I really like this game. It has very good content, lots of cars, tracks and modes to try on. Career mode is really fun. Handling model much better than other games. Yes, it's not a sim game like before, but devs talk about it. They really should name it different. If You like more Arcade-Sim games - try it on.

    Very good racing game that can proudly stand next to Forza/GT:
    + Great handling (even on controller this time!!!)
    + Lots of content (over 50 locations - far over its competition) + No microtransactions!!! + Usable AI (it is not great. But above most of the "train ai" competition). It is far from perfect, but not frustrating. + Huge amount of settings, so it can be enjoyed by casual    Very good racing game that can proudly stand next to Forza/GT:

    + 4 season, day nigt cycle, weather.
    - Up to 32 cars on the track

    - Sometimes feels grindy. (it is easy to unlock new events. But can take time to purchase new cars, that you need to start them)
    - No damage (at least symbolic damage to driving properties would be nice).
    - No pit stops (considering length of the races, they are not needed anyway. But having the possibility for players that are setting up a longer race would be nice).

    But in the end it is very good simcare racer, that is fun and challenging at the same time.    … Expand

    Im enjoying the game, they should have just called it shift 3 like a few have said. Its not the best looking game but as far as a fun experience its all there. I think an 8/10 is a fair score

    Good fun game . Quite a rew bugs but nothing that cant be fixed with updates . Cross between forza and grid but it's a lot better game than grid

    A real good and fun game not serious enough for real hard sim players but for thoose who like play shift it'll be a good experience and also a 50/50 way of tunning, but yeah there's not a sim game anymore i'll agreed with thoose who say that just don't worth the price but you got to understand the codemoasters people buy slighty mad for making fun games not realistic games.

    The real issue here is they named it PCARS 3 and thats what everyone is whining about. There'd be no hate if it was called NFS Shift 3 or even a spin off title of PCARS.

    A slight step back from Project Cars 2. Seems like old features and settings are missing. The disc install was 40 GB but the update (1.09) that my PS4 wants to download is 32 GB. So that'd be 72GB? and it is worse than the previous title.
    The game was obviously rushed and it seems highly doubtful I will consider playing this franchise in the future. Thankful it's a rental

But unfortunately this game technically falls largely behind other competitors in this genre like Codemasters remaster of Grid, OnRush as well as the oldest of them Gran Turismo Sport on which they is a whole generation between them. There is one positive thing of Project Cars 3 which pops out andBasically I like this newest title of this series, because I‘m a fan of arcade racing action.     PC3 lacks the in depth tuning of PC2. What's worse, it looks worse than PC2 on PS4Pro. Even when looks are prioritized, the game manages to look PS3 era!     There is nothing special from PC3 that you can't get in any other game, you want an arcade game you have Forza Horizon, Need for Speed, Grid, etc. you want sim you have iRacing, Assetto Corsa, Assetto Corsa Competiozione, Automobilista. Porject Cars 3 sits in a place where it doesn't fit the criteria of neither racing simmers or arcade players.

    A disgraceful and very probable end for this old good series.

Some say (like suryaGamer in his review) that this game wasn't sold as a Sim-Arcade but more like a full Arcade, but you're wrong, the devs said in many interviews that the game wouldn't have pit-stops but the tyre temperature and any other characteristics related to them would affect the carsLike many have already said, this game shouldn't be called Project Cars, it's totally different. Some say (like suryaGamer in his review) that this game wasn't sold as a Sim-Arcade but more like a full Arcade, but you're wrong, the devs said in many interviews that the game wouldn't have pit-stops but the tyre temperature and any other characteristics related to them would affect the cars reactions. As far as i can see only the suspension affects the car reactions, i don't know why the game has the temperature of the weather enabled if it doesn't affects the tyres at all. Only the rain and ice weather conditions affect not the tyres but the car making it more slipery and this is also bad, you see even in clear conditions the cars tend to drift a lot, not even Forza games have this problem, so you can imagine how much of a problem it is to try to race cleanly and as fast as you can in a rainy/ice weather conditions. Also, the review of Hobby Consolas says that it takes a lot of content from the prebious games LIKE THE REALISTIC CAR HANDLING... Seriously? Realistic? Who played the game in Hobby Consolas, a four year old that has never driven a car?

    Another problem is that there are not that many tyres compounds, there are no tyres for rainy/ice conditions so, like many other forza games the slick tyres compound is the overall best option for any kind of weather.

    Now the damage system... It doesn't exist, damage is just visual and not realistically visual, every part that can be deatached from the car in a real collision just hangs in there by a thin piece of metal or not even metal, just a string. Another thing on the suryaGamer review is that it says a pro to the game is that it doesn't have microtransactions... Just you wait pal, wait for the DLC's.

    The AI well... It feels more A than I but maybe that's more of a problem from the dev studio, because on the previous 2 games i always had the AI at 120% and still won podiums and first places with a controller which takes me to the nest point, a lot of the fewer positive users reviews and a lot of companies reviews says that this game is easy on controller not like the previous games, i disagree, if you know how to tune your cars, test them on the track and tune them again to make them smoother for the player you can play the game with a controller, id on't have a Sim-Rig i only play with controller and even with that i managed to make it to the Top 20 Lap Times in Nurgbürgring Combined in the Formula X category without tuning the car and on my first and only attempt. While in PC3 the cars tend to loose grip a lot the only advantage is that it's easyer to regain control of the car, but again, your argument that the other 2 games were really difficult without a Sim-Rig wasn't a problem of the game but yours, you can see in PC2 the lap records worldwide and even a lot of the Top 3 records there are controller players in there.

    Another User review says that it has a huge amount of settings... Yeah, just visual settings because the settings that actually affects the car handling i can count them with one hand and i would still have fingers to count.

    Graphics are nothing new, still i like them.

    Another ridiculous argument against the players that complain that this isn't a full Sim is that there are other real Sim-Racing games that we can play, well... Same goes for you, even more to our favor, there are tons of Arcade-Racing games similar or even better than PC3 that you can play i will just name the franchises but you get that these are divided in a lot of games from past and actual console generation, not to say for PC too:
    Forza Motorsport
    Grid
    Need for Speed
    The Crew
    Forza Horizon

    Completely different game to the previous ones. If I rated it based on the previous games it would get a 0 Instead rating as an arcade racer I'd give it a 3 good track and car selection but way bellow par compared to other arcade racers in most areas.

    This is, in a strange way, a very brave game. It’s great - but it also targets a different audience than the previous titles in the series. It’s no longer trying to compete with Gran Turismo, Assetto Corsa and other serious sims, instead it rivals Forza Motorsport. But you can still feel its simulation roots.

    A patchy, unbalanced, and shallow racer with obvious technical issues on PS4. Chasing lap times is fun thanks to the superb pad control and track list, but everything else is disappointing. [Issue#180, p.78]
