What the bloody chuff is this? If you’re going in a new direction then call it something else. The reason people are annoyed isn’t that you made this game (all good if you want Shift 3), it’s that you made this as sequel for a much loved series, one that you’ve just killed. What’s Project Cars 4 going to be, Forza Street?

Terrible game, You cannot even complete the campaign without repeating hundreds of races to unlock next race in the campaign and get credits to buy cars, cos those races are locked like "british cars from 2000-2020 year" so you have to buy new cars with missing credits.

Completely different game to the previous ones. If I rated it based on the previous games it would get a 0 Instead rating as an arcade racer I'd give it a 3 good track and car selection but way bellow par compared to other arcade racers in most areas.

It pains me to say but if you want an arcade racer, get grid. If you want to modify your cars get forza, otherwise stick with pc2 and save your money .

Giving it a zero to counter the bs 10 someone gave it. This game deserves hate. They’ve completely turned their back on their fan base to try and attract a more mainstream audience. Wow how it has backfired for them. I will never play a project Cars game ever again

Like many have already said, this game shouldn't be called Project Cars, it's totally different. Some say (like suryaGamer in his review) that this game wasn't sold as a Sim-Arcade but more like a full Arcade, but you're wrong, the devs said in many interviews that the game wouldn't have pit-stops but the tyre temperature and any other characteristics related to them would affect the carsLike many have already said, this game shouldn't be called Project Cars, it's totally different. Some say (like suryaGamer in his review) that this game wasn't sold as a Sim-Arcade but more like a full Arcade, but you're wrong, the devs said in many interviews that the game wouldn't have pit-stops but the tyre temperature and any other characteristics related to them would affect the cars reactions. As far as i can see only the suspension affects the car reactions, i don't know why the game has the temperature of the weather enabled if it doesn't affects the tyres at all. Only the rain and ice weather conditions affect not the tyres but the car making it more slipery and this is also bad, you see even in clear conditions the cars tend to drift a lot, not even Forza games have this problem, so you can imagine how much of a problem it is to try to race cleanly and as fast as you can in a rainy/ice weather conditions. Also, the review of Hobby Consolas says that it takes a lot of content from the prebious games LIKE THE REALISTIC CAR HANDLING... Seriously? Realistic? Who played the game in Hobby Consolas, a four year old that has never driven a car?

Another problem is that there are not that many tyres compounds, there are no tyres for rainy/ice conditions so, like many other forza games the slick tyres compound is the overall best option for any kind of weather.

Now the damage system... It doesn't exist, damage is just visual and not realistically visual, every part that can be deatached from the car in a real collision just hangs in there by a thin piece of metal or not even metal, just a string. Another thing on the suryaGamer review is that it says a pro to the game is that it doesn't have microtransactions... Just you wait pal, wait for the DLC's.

The AI well... It feels more A than I but maybe that's more of a problem from the dev studio, because on the previous 2 games i always had the AI at 120% and still won podiums and first places with a controller which takes me to the nest point, a lot of the fewer positive users reviews and a lot of companies reviews says that this game is easy on controller not like the previous games, i disagree, if you know how to tune your cars, test them on the track and tune them again to make them smoother for the player you can play the game with a controller, id on't have a Sim-Rig i only play with controller and even with that i managed to make it to the Top 20 Lap Times in Nurgbürgring Combined in the Formula X category without tuning the car and on my first and only attempt. While in PC3 the cars tend to loose grip a lot the only advantage is that it's easyer to regain control of the car, but again, your argument that the other 2 games were really difficult without a Sim-Rig wasn't a problem of the game but yours, you can see in PC2 the lap records worldwide and even a lot of the Top 3 records there are controller players in there.

Another User review says that it has a huge amount of settings... Yeah, just visual settings because the settings that actually affects the car handling i can count them with one hand and i would still have fingers to count.

Graphics are nothing new, still i like them.

Another ridiculous argument against the players that complain that this isn't a full Sim is that there are other real Sim-Racing games that we can play, well... Same goes for you, even more to our favor, there are tons of Arcade-Racing games similar or even better than PC3 that you can play i will just name the franchises but you get that these are divided in a lot of games from past and actual console generation, not to say for PC too:
    Forza Motorsport
    Grid
    Need for Speed
    The Crew
    Forza Horizon
Nascar Heat (Yes, this isn't a sim)

    The game is playable.

However career mode forces you to buy different cars you don’t like. Graphics is from 2000s but anyway it freezes and lags on standard ps4. Car tuning is unpredictable. Career difficulty in different races is not balanced.

Handling experience is ok, has some nice race tracks. Cool heavy rain conditions. Lots of cars but they look plastic on track.

For a 2020 game, it looks like a Need For Speed 3 from 90's. Bad graphics, there is no anti alias. Poor sound quality, no players online. It is a complete frustration. It has a good car handling for an arcade game. But in this case we have others better such as GRID or even Forza Horizon 4. Do not but this game, there is no worth.

Project CARS 3 is not one of the worst games I've played at all.. It’s… average to say the least. The problem with this game is the fact that Slightly Mad Studios is using the Project CARS name to promote this game that has no resemblance to how it's supposed to be.

When you first start up the game, you’re given the option to create your driver profile and do a tutorial. The tutorial drops you in a Chevy Corvette C8.R. After completing the tutorial, you’re given the option to buy your first car and then be lectured on some cheesy stuff about “the world needs new drivers, and this is where you come in.”
The career mode was overhauled for Project CARS 3, ranging from races, time attacks and smashing through objects to gain points. Each event has objectives that you must complete in order to progress through the career mode. It’s a little annoying, but it’s okay for what it is.
The AI is... average to say the least. It can be really inconsistent at times. Sometimes you’ll beat the AI like they’re a bunch of people who got their licenses from Fisher Price Racing School while sometimes, you’ll actually get a good challenge out of the AI or have to deal with AI drivers that has as much grip and power as the AI drivers from the Fast and Furious arcade game. The AI also has the tendency to push and shove you out of the way. It might be good for reliving those BTCC days, but some people might get annoyed by that.
There’s actual visual customization for the first time in the series, but it’s only restricted to small things such as stickers, liveries and rims. There’s no body kits or spoilers that you can install unlike Shift 1 and 2.

There is also performance upgrades in Project CARS 3. You can upgrade things such as tires, brakes, bodywork, weight reduction, etc. One thing I’m confused about is the fact that the bodywork upgrade changes nothing visually on your cars. Why even have it as an option?
So, how are the driving physics of Project CARS 3? I mean… it’s not that bad. The handling physics are not fully arcade and you won’t be drifting around corners at around 200+ mph. (No offense to the OG Ridge Racer fans.)
You actually need to drive the car. The way that I can explain it is that SMS dumbed down the physics for casuals and to appeal to a larger audience. It might be good for those that want to get into racing games, but it’s definitely a downgrade compared to Project CARS 2.

So here comes some of the ugly things about this game. Ready?

    - There is no mechanical damage in Project CARS 3. All of the damage that your car will suffer is visual only, and even the visual damage was downgraded. I’m guessing it’s due to licensing issues – but still though, it’s a disappointing downgrade.
    - Some tracks were removed from the game. Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps and Le Mans were omitted from the game.
    - Some of the menus are confusing as hell. Why can’t there be a button to instantly return to the main menu instead of mashing the Circle button multiple times?
    - Some vehicle classes were removed from the game as well. Go-karts for example are now gone. Why couldn’t they just keep it as a novelty extra?
    - The GT classes in the game are an absolute mess and break the immersion. Why is there one class that makes you race against GT4 cars in a GT3 car? Why not just separate them into different classes?
    - Here’s what people were complaining about – NO PIT STOPS, NO TIRE WEAR, NO BRAKE TEMPERATURE, ALL OF THAT STUFF IS GONE. I understand that SMS wanted to go for a Shift-like path with Project CARS 3, but that doesn’t mean you need to remove the feature altogether. Why not have an option to turn them on or off? This pretty much means that endurance races are dumbed down and some of the thrill is taken away.
    - Most of the content was ported over from Project CARS 2. There’s no denying it. Most of the cars and tracks were ported over from the previous game and had small changes done to them for PC3.
    - The game actually makes you pay credits for tuning slots. Why would they even think about implementing this? You didn’t have to pay credits for tuning slots in the previous Project CARS and Need for Speed Shift games!
    - The career events are too short and too repetitive. You’ll basically be doing 2 minutes worth of racing with each event and find yourself wishing for more.

The game had a lot of potential. There were many things that SMS could’ve done to make sure that there was still a seat for hardcore sim racers. Keep in mind that Ian Bell, the CEO of Slightly Mad Studios, was bragging about how Project CARS 3 was apparently “200% better than Project CARS 2”. Well, guess how that turned out?

This game could’ve been suitable for both hardcore sim racers and casual racers, but SMS made so many wrong decisions that they pretty much ruined the game. It’s like SMS was biting off more than they can chew. Do better, SMS.

Project Cars 2 was and still is an amazing game that I find myself playing everyday. The sheer amount of content is mind blowing! Watching reviews of PC3 hurts. The amount of stripped content and lack of features is quite disappointing to say the least. Let's take a look at stripped down features and everything that's been taken out of the game.

Pitstops, tyre wear and damage are all

The amount of stripped content and lack of features is quite disappointing to say the least. Let's take a look at stripped down features and everything that's been taken out of the game.

Pitstops, tyre wear and damage are all gone! Combine that with only being able to set up a max of 99 lap races, gone are the days of true endurance races.

Rally cross has also been cut. No more dirt/snow tracks which is very disappointing as rally was a lot of fun and a good addition to the series.

No go karts, not the biggest loss but cut content nonetheless. I did enjoy messing around racing go karts on the California highway. That's what made PC2 special was the fact you had options like that.

Start and finish weather. There is no longer 4 weather slots, instead we get a start weather and a finish weather. Race starts dry, and ends in rain that's it. No more starting dry, turning to rain back to dry then a massive blizzard in PC3.

90% recycled cars from PC2. I believe I counted around the 15-20 car range for the new cars and the rest are just reused from PC2. The only difference this time is we now have to grind credits to be able to own these cars. Yes I know you can rent the cars but that's just dumb since PC2 has always been about freedom to do what you want.

Tuning, no more race engineer to help new comers to the series with problems they might have adjusting their vehicle. Also gone are the descriptions of what you are adjusting is even doing! No joke, I'm no stranger to tuning but to a new racer looking at suspension bump/rebound, camber and toe in/out is not only confusion but, with literally no description on what it even does is just plain lazy. PC2 has very detailed descriptions on what each and every setting does which was an excellent leaning tool.

I just wanted to express my frustrations with this game and let people know exactly what has been cut. I'm sure there is more but this is just what comes to mind. For them to strip so much content and still charge $60 is robbery. I understand that are trying to cater to a more casual market but, this is a very bad/shady way to do it. Save your money, wait for a deep sale as I don't picture this game staying $60 for very long.

This is, in a strange way, a very brave game. It’s great - but it also targets a different audience than the previous titles in the series. It’s no longer trying to compete with Gran Turismo, Assetto Corsa and other serious sims, instead it rivals Forza Motorsport. But you can still feel its simulation roots.
