    the game plays well but in game it still suffers from the same flaws as its predecessors, it is in essence the same game as before with better graphics

    Gameplay is hugely overrated. PES 2019 captures the feel and look of the game, and there's lots to love to be sure. But there's massive flaws - and that's just with gameplay. Don't get me started on all the non gameplay stuff.

    But the AI is really poor at times, with players often not making the correct contextual choice, as if they're being dictated by their tactics. CPU teams plays    Gameplay is hugely overrated. PES 2019 captures the feel and look of the game, and there's lots to love to be sure. But there's massive flaws - and that's just with gameplay. Don't get me started on all the non gameplay stuff.

    But the AI is really poor at times, with players often not making the correct contextual choice, as if they're being dictated by their tactics. CPU teams plays mostly the same, and even horrible teams can tiki taka it around the box. I've now played 40+ matches of the full release and I'd say 75% of the CPU goals are low crosses from the wing or byline.

    Headers are essentially non existent. Keepers don't come off their line for 1-on-1s, equally easy goals. Refs are inconsistent, though for the most part pretty good with the exception of giving up soft penalties.

    Defending is terrible. On one hand the AI mark so loosely, it's tough to even get close to the CPU and they finish with super high passing stats every game. Tackling is terrible and will result in fouls 2/3 times.

    In addition, the responsiveness of the game is severely lacking, and sometimes it can feel like you're playing a turn based game as you wait for the AI to do it's thing.

    I'm a former PES hardcore fan but this just isn't good enough. And that's not even getting into the shambles off the pitch. Oh, and not to mention the game didn't even release with updated squads.    … Expand

    *Broken pass targeting programming:
    The game simply ignores your analog direction sometimes and also ignore your late adjustments to pass direction. The moment you press "pass" it will pass that way , you can no longer make late adjustments to pass target once the animation starts which causes alot of passing errors and since most players know this, they just sit back and wait for you suffer this flaw.

    *Terrible slow sluggish, networking:
    PES has to grow balls and start letting users filter players with Wi-fi connections. The online gameplay is a torture to play when the other jack realises that he cant compete starts the torrents in his pc.

    *Terrible defensive AI: The defense is always doing the wrong things unless you select and correct it by super-cancel which is a chore especially online.

    Intentionally bad "catch up system"
    You are literally against the game's catch up system. The more active you play the better the other team performs incase of interceptions, finishing, Hi-balls, it s like the game is constantly cursing you and you are at your worst day but it is an agony to watch your opponents, spammy passes or blind 180degree clearences reach their target like "magic".

    Playing this game is a chore, none of your skills like perception, reflexes , anticipation is rewarded. i dont enjoy winning or losing as i know the truth that the goals come from abusing this problematic passing and defendind system.

    The game is always trying to even the skill gap between the opposing players by sabotaging pass targets, letting wrong passings go through, headers won.

    The great gameplay is in there somewhere, you can sense and feel it, and very occasionally it feels spot on, a great representation of football, exactly what we want....but unfortunately it's ruined by the obvious scripting, momentum and god awful netcode. It's a shame Konami chose to go the EA way rather than produce the opposite.     I have been playing the pet series since 2010 and this is probably the worst one in the series along with 2014. I was very excited for this game after 2018 had solid gameplay, but came to realize that Konami did a horrible job of actually making this game fun and playable. At first I really like the addition of new leagues, but this was really the only improvement in the actual game besides graphics. The gameplay has been made a mess due to sloppy Ai control when defending, very little control over offensive Ai, the complete removal of goals from crosses (this was an issue in 2018, but it was the opposite), absolutely awful referees that seem to call no fouls to assist the player once on higher difficulties, and very repetitive goals once on higher difficulties. This game had a lot of potential due to the recent pes series installations (which were not perfect, but still fun) and has way too much of a focus on "realism" that dumbs down the gameplay to almost unplayable at points. Another bad thing about this game is the so called "improvements" to my club which change nothing, and at the end of the day fifa ultimate team is just a better game mode in all aspects. Master league (game mode which most PES players love the series for) has received literally almost no changes and neither has become a legend. This PES had the potential to be the equalizer between FIFA and PES, but it failed miserably since Konami seemed to prefer boring repetitive gameplay that is "realistic" over actual fun gameplay. My recommendation to anyone trying to get into the PES series is play PES 2016 and PES 2013 by far much better games that are probably the best in the PES series to date.… Expand

Sometime the pass goes to one player, sometimes goes to another. Even star players will make A LOT of mistakes with very simple passing. Unless you use some special technique, all your shoots will be out of the target. You just cannot win in PES 2019 ifThe same terrible passing system as PES 2018. Horrible.     This is exactly the reason why I stop playing Fifa, because it's necessary to use special controls, movements and tricks to fool the CPU and score. If you just play normally, press the buttons to pass, shoot and defend, you will lose. Nothing works...

    I don't want to learn tricks, like pressing R2/R1/L1 and something else to be able to play. I just want to play like in PES 2014. Bring PES 2014 back!    … Expand

    when i played the game for the first 10 matches i start to like the game very much
    but after i played 300+ matches then i realized that this game sucks ass.

He will outrun you. Master League? Nothing changed! Childish transfer system. Player ratings waaaaaaaaaaay of. Terrible/unknown players are highly over rated. And I hate to see retired players returning to the game like 16 year olds! WTF! I can keep going on and on and on on how bad this is. Don't get me wrong.     This rating is for offline play. The AI is broken and utilizes the same tactic no matter who you play. The new and "improved" transfer system is broken as the AI is selling players left & right. Some times leaving teams with 4 goalies as subs???? The salary system is also broken when starting with the defualt master league players.

    Now i understand why people say it,it definitely is smoother ,i also feel like the AI is better,but the passing system is in my opinion horrible ,i never had much issues with it in fifa,but in pes it is horrible,they keep passing to the wrong players,or the combatants.Also defending is pretty    Now i bought this game because everyone keeps saying the gameplay is better then fifa...

    Another year, another PES. Nothing that was bothering players of this franchise fixed. Lagcheaters - check. Whitebenchers - check. COOP that allows you to play 1vs3 - check. The COOP is especially tricky. How do you have the cohones to call something COOP and then let the AI control your team while you play as a single player. This is a pathetic excuse for a game.

    -Errores defensivos en balones divididos no queda claro que jugador llevas y en se generan caos, que genera peligro de gol
    -los pases son más difíciles pero también a costa de que hagas el pase mal a conciencia varias ocasiones quieres hacer el pase hacia delante suave y te hace el pase al jugador que viene en Segundo línea.
    -El cambio de jugador es un horror, muchas veces te da jugadores ajenos a la jugadas Y tienes que pisar el L1/RB dos o tres ocasiones hasta que consigues al jugador que quieres, y en muchas ocasiones online eso ya es demasiado tarde.
    -Eliminan la segunda división Española y la Italiana y ponen como excusa la capacidad del disco

    Por todo eso y porque solo se han centrado en el MyClub, aumentando los GP que necesitan para conseguir jugadores, todo con la intención de comprar más monedas, La nota es más baja de la que el gameplay merecería pero hay que evaluar los juegos en su contexto y en su totalidad.    … Expand

    Two words: Scripting matches. If you score, your team is going to suck. And vice versa. They wanted to simulate a real game and the results is awful.

    I had high expectations of this game and I bought legend edition making a big mistake. By the way, the demo was very good and that what made me buy it. The final version is an absolute trash.
    Defending is an absolute joke, headers are non existent while low cross is to overpowered. Many times the defenders stand by and watch the ball rolling or an attacker passing by with ease and score. Changing the player when out of posession is also very bad and it changes a player far away from the ball or the attacker. Passing the ball is a mess even when you are very well positioned and many times the ball reaches straight into the opposing player. Those long balls over the defense are the most OP in this game. My club game mode is nothing but a CASH COW for KONAMI, same as the other football competitor and players contracts are to expensive. The only option to survive in MY Club is to farm coins but then there is no charm in playing it anymore.
    The only good thing with this game is player animations and ball physics and thats why i will give it a 2 star rating: one for the animations and one for the ball physics.
    I am neither a Fifa or PES fanboy . I just want to play a decent football game but in the last few years none of them deserved to be played.
    Konamy doesnt care only butt money, and they dont give a damn about game quality!    … Expand

    Не настоящие названия лиг и клубов, это серьезный минус. Не до карьера. Но самый косяк это онлайн.
    Онлайн малюсенький, это вообще позорище, новичков почти нет, зато постоянно кидает на профи 100 лвл. В разных онлайн режимах играют со своими составами куда скидывают всех    С внешнего вида вроде нечего так, но присмотревшись и потрогав могу сказать, что это не футсим, а это жалкая копия.

    defending is randomly sometimes steal the ball some times dont, online is horrible delaying after 1 sec you press some button makes the action when you steal a ball the players remains paralyzed wondering why lost the ball, defense suddenly attacks leaving the goalkeeper alone, header goals dont exist, if you win or lose is just luck fifa thousand times better, players weight 1 ton

    Graphic looks great. Animation looks better than PES 18. The gameplay is great ,but only you control it. The AI off the ball is just not right. Then it makes everything seems weird. The goalkeeper is great (sometimes too great) at shot-stopping, but if you make him comes off the line....useless. The offline game experience is considered very good despite all the things i had explained. TheGraphic looks great. Animation looks better than PES 18. The gameplay is great ,but only you control it. The AI off the ball is just not right. Then it makes everything seems weird. The goalkeeper is great (sometimes too great) at shot-stopping, but if you make him comes off the line....useless. The offline game experience is considered very good despite all the things i had explained. The online mode is quite weak. The lack of game modes, licences, lack of the two top Bundesliga club like Bayern and Dortmund is just not right. The myclub mode really lack depth. The ref is not good at all.     What to say about this game? dumb, annoying, scripted, pathetic joke. Never seen a game so badly coded, cpu always plays the same, no difference between teams. SCRIPTED as hell. Can't believe that i have been fooled even this year. Konami deserve to go out of business for lying to their customers. it's an absolute joke

    A lack of licences and a absurd handicap in online modes made this the worst PES ever, maybe 14 was better, auto tackle is insane, and all defenders runs fast than any great player like Messi, Salah, Cr7, and after all they still calling PES a simulator, FIFa is horrible, but PES is the same, cheaters, online issues, a weak "FUT" mode,horrible game at all, only graphics don't make a great game.

    Una verdadera decepcion un juego inacabado con fallos graves. Offline es una verguenza la IA, empanamientos, retardo en la respuesta, porteros que no salen. Si a esto sumamos la falta de modos de juego, lo obsoleto de menus y opciones. Hacen uno de los peores Pes que he jugado, juego comprado y vendido en una semana en un Game que tenian bastantes Pes de segun mano

    Great new animations, magical moments, improved pass/receiving mechanics, and a lot more, makes for another great year of PES. It could have had more league licenses though.
