    Plays nice but improvements are needed to take it to that next level.
    I outright refuse to play Fifa this year after many many years with it, so many reasons why but I'm not going to go in to them right now so thought I'd go back to PES. Yeah Fifa has 100% better presentation and content but on the pitch this wins for me hands down. Few minor niggles encountered online but nothing major.    Plays nice but improvements are needed to take it to that next level.

    Having played the series since its inception all the way back to the PS1 PES continues to offer arguably the best gameplay experience from any football game on the market. While KONAMI have lost the Champions League licence this year it does not take away from the enjoyment you get on the pitch. You wont see every player on the pitch pull of street football moves and the appropriate skills and tricks are applied to their real life counter part, you wont see Harry Kane score a scorpion heel kick into the top corner here, that's just not real football.

    Bad points.... licences for the biggest leagues are still lacking (as always) commentary hasn't changed much and UI needs drastic improving. All minor details to what is a superb GAME.    … Expand

    Well done, getting closer and closer to the perfection, that's what we want, simulation of football game, ball physic incredibly real as players movements, if you want play a competitive game online, 1v1, or coop , that's the game, is all about the gameplay.!!!!     El mejor juego de fútbol a la fecha, lo mejor que se puede tener si se busca un simulador, la falta de modos de juego y torneos en MyClub son lo que evita que este más cerca del 10, las licencias no es un tema que este en las manos de konami, más bien tiene que ver con un monopolio de FIFA en este tema. Juego ampliamente recomendado.

    when i played the game for the first 10 matches i start to like the game very much
    but after i played 300+ matches then i realized that this game sucks ass.

    Switched to PES this year after almost exclusively playing its rival for the last ten years of my life. This is the best football simulation game I have ever played. Switch passing and shooting assists off and search for fellow manual-only players in Online Divisions, and it is the best online football gameplay you will have ever experienced. And be sure to apply an option file if you are on PS4.

    Love it. Gameplay is great and fluid. Master League is very in depth. If it had licensing it would kill FIFA(if it doesn't already)

    These days approche to multiplayer games in many games is very ill because of micro transactions and loot systems. Peolpe love soccer and great players of this dyscypline, but I see very clearly that creators of PES and FIFA went wrong way using gamers passion for profit. You cannot have your heroes even if You play many many maches (grind) and even if you decide to PAY for ability toThese days approche to multiplayer games in many games is very ill because of micro transactions and loot systems.     Pro Evolution Soccer is a series developed by Konami that has been coming since 2001, not counting the International Superstar Soccer and Goal Storm for PSOne. And as such, this year also doesn't escape to another Pro Evolution Soccer entry. There are several new features this year.     There are several new features this year. The UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League licenses went to the EA Sports game and as such Konami had to find alternatives to try to fill this hole. And the alternatives were these: Russian Premier League (exclusivo), Spor Toto Süper Lig (Turkish league), Superliga (Danish league), Liga NOS (Portuguese league), Raiffeisen Super Ligue (Swiss league), Ladbrokes Premiership (Scottish league) and Jupiler Pro League (Belgium league). In turn, clubs like FC Barcelona, Liverpool FC, AC Milan, Arsenal FC and FC Schalke 04, among others, are part of the partnership with the Konami game. As you can see, the Japanese publisher took pains in this chapter.

    In addition to the real stadiums such as Camp Nou, Anfield Road and Emirates Stadium, Konami's usual generic stadiums are also present. Who is back is the Jose Alvalade Stadium and the Stade Louis II (via DLC), while new stadiums in PES series we have, for example, the Veltins-Arena, Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium, Celtic Park, Ibrox Stadium, Palestra Italia, and these last three will leave via DLC.

    Of course, the Master League, the Rise to Stardom, the offline and online Cooperative and myClub are present in PES 2019. Both the Master League and the Rise to Stardom haven't undergo any significant changes. MyClub is an online mode similar to the FIFA FUT, in which we have to get scouts, coaches and players, in order to build a dream team capable of taking us to the top. And for that it is necessary to have points or coins (micro-transactions) if we want to have quality players. However, the fact that the Game Rhythm in myClub is automatically set to +2, will not please many. About the connection in the games, I don't have major reasons to complaint.

    Speaking of gameplay, it hasn't changed significantly compared to PES 2018. However, depth passes are now no longer very fatal, which is a good thing. In addition, the physics of the ball is quite good, reacting as expected. And I noticed that the Goalkeepers didn't make those unbelievable mistakes again. However, I feel that there are strange faults that are marked and I notice that the CPU doesn't diversifies its way to attack.

    In graphic terms, Konami never fails in this regard. It's always interesting to see the atmosphere of the stadiums and most of the faces of the super realistic players as well as the facial expressions of the players, especially when they react to what goes on inside the four lines. And what about the audience's sounds in stadiums? I feel that the public shoulded be more effusive every time we score a goal. About commentators, for a long time, is a chronic problem of the PES series and, once again, continues to fail in this department, since the comments are extremely repetitive, biased and boring. If you listen to Pedro Sousa and Luís Freitas Lobo is bad, the English comments are also not much better.

    On the soundtrack, X Ambassadors and Jamie N Commons, Awolnation and Jay Prince, are some of the examples of artists who are part of the list of songs you will hear while navigating the menus. In short, PES 2019 has lost the licenses of UEFA to its rival franchise, and it continues to feel the lack of important leagues like Barclays Premier League, Bundesliga and LaLiga Santander. But I still enjoy this title, thanks to fun gameplay and finally have seen a greater investment in the acquisition of licensed content.

    Excellent gameplay. I don't care about licenses and stadiums. The announcers and commenting is average but it doesn't affect the overall enjoyment of the game.

    I've always enjoyed football games and started playing in consoles with Superstar Soccer Deluxe and FIFA 96 in SNES. I've never been a fanboy of neither of them simply because i wanted to enjoy the best available.That for i played PES in PS2 since 2008 when i swithed to FIFA 09 up to FIFA 18. In the first years EA was ambitious and had a vision so i enjoyed it.But in the past years it'sI've always enjoyed football games and started playing in consoles with Superstar Soccer Deluxe and FIFA 96 in SNES. I've never been a fanboy of neither of them simply because i wanted to enjoy the best available.That for i played PES in PS2 since 2008 when i swithed to FIFA 09 up to FIFA 18. In the first years EA was ambitious and had a vision so i enjoyed it.But in the past years it's stagnating gamewise. ive always tried PES demos with FOX engine and i wasnt quit satisfied. It felt a little on rails, the shooting was not as satisying as in FIFA. and the sliding tackles went strate to the feet.I always thought maybe next year they will make it. But this year i feel that they hit the sweet spot. Passing (with support level 1) feel great and not tiki taka, shooting is better and the overall balance is great. I played for a week non stop and went back to FIFA to see the difference. Man it was so hollow...It's fancy alright but the animations need a revamp asap. Players are iceskating, the need so many touches in the ball, ball physics arevery light and not realistic.And here we come in the tactics...PES is in a whole other level. i saw it last year but now i feel it so much.FIFA is like a bunch of people running around, jostling and making a fuzz. What is still better in my opinion in FIFA is slide tacklings which go in open space infront of players and the targeting in shooting which feels more free tha PES although they improved it a lot this year. The Fatigue system brings another level of strategy in the game and when you apply some tactics in your team you see them literally happen on the pitch.That's not a thing in FIFA...And the selling point for me was the freekicks...it feels sooo good hitting the net.The system that EA implemented is so bad, you were skying every ball. So i came back after 10 years because of the gameplay. I dont give a damn about licenses, i got them with a file in few minutes (+ the customization is better) i dont care about FUT or MyClub or online, i only want to play a game with intelligent AI and solid gameplay and this is were PES is a winner like the old times. I give it 9 because there is so much space for improvement.Please fix the AI that goes for low crosses from the wings very often. Put more swerve in simple shots because they go strate forward and add some more replay cameras that are not fixed in the grass so we can enjoy better what we achieve ob the pitch. I really hope that Konami does well and continues to make PES and won't give up like with other franchises because we need that competition.Enjoy !!… Expand

    But who are we kidding. They are all kids. So question is, who will win. In a race between a gambling addiction of kids and game for everyone with purest passion for sports. A gambling addict. Cause they are addicted. And cant judge with reason.

    Long story short, just spend some FUT packs money on this on Christmas, when its cheap. And see for your self. when defenders don't actually make your NOOB friends win. Since I just scored and now its his turn to score. WTF. I am 31 and just cant burn my self over this anymore. PES is the solace i look forward to every year.    … Expand

    After DLC 2.0 launch, the game is reborn.

    Amazing gameplay and ball physics.

    Bugs fixed in the offline game.

    It's the authentic simulator of the genre

    Best pes ever played, if you like football and you ever played it for real, you'll understand this is the best SIMULATION you can get. Clearly there's a big problem with licenses and yes, the offline modes feels a little bit aged and would need a big refresh, even on the design side...but when you start playing on the pitch, you can't stop!

    PES 2019 in my opinion will beat FIFA19 hands down. I know that PES has no licences but it took 3 mins to apply option file. Gameplay is great, crisp and animations are beautiful. On the pitch PES has no rival.
    Fifa fans might not like it as it is hard to score and takes time and patience. FIFA arcade - PES simulation.

    The perfect and definitive football game .. it was very difficult to do better than 2018 version but konami has did .. wonderful graphics, reasoned gameplay, new realistic animations, improved goalkeepers, reactive ia and...a lots of fun!

    i play pes since 1993 ..back then was iss.i abandon pes in 2007.in 2012 i began fifa and i was happy until fifa 15.then once again i switch back to pes in 2018.
    i can say now that pes 2019 is awesome is more sim but the best part is that is a very good mix of pes and fifa..i m feeling that i m playing fifa 12 part 2 it super

    The best pes of all time!!!! For all fifa fans , after you play this wonderful game you will not regret, its a real real pure soccer simulator ever period!!!! I really don’t understand about the score on the bottom , fifa it’s arcade game , only kids play fifa!!

Sure it's UI presentation is lacking (but definitely an improvement over previous offerings), it lacks official licences, but the gameplay itself looks beautiful.     In FIFA everything feels 100mph, this game can be but prefers you play a slower, more natural passing game, unlocking defences and boy does passing feel satisfying. A well timed through ball or 1-2 can open up masses of space however a bad one can open up a devastating counter. Yes the AI can be brutal and if you're leading at the end of a game they will throw the kitchen sink at you but in return will leave their defence vulnerable.

    Shots can be spilled, goal keepers distribution can go awry, defenders can block and cause deflections, all can be pounced on, but it feels like football.

    If you're fed up of FIFA give this a try, it will take some adjusting but if you're a football fan and NOT an Ultimate Team fan this could be for you.    … Expand

    Another superb rendition of the beautiful game but takibg graphical and game realism to new heights. Add an option file and it is, again, the premiere football title.

    Handicap y script hace el juego ridiculo de jugar. No hay ligas completas ni buen juego en línea, es solo bueno para jugar localmente, por ello no hay diferencia entre comprar el juego o jugar solo el demo. No vale la pena comprarlo.

    Excelentes gráficos, grande liberdade na hora de editar jogadores e seu time, nomes, estádios, habilidades, e uma ótima jogabilidade que supera todos os outros PES já lançados até hoje.

    The best gameplay,animations,goalkeepers,i have seen in a football game...But i didnt like the colorless game menu,the pitch texture,boring stadium sounds/atmosphere and boring commentators..Gameplay is 9.5/10 for me,but 0/10 other than that.

Я за 10 матчей всего собрал уже команду с Модричем, Салахом, Касильясом и прочими сильными игроками. И это только 10 матчей! Ценность таких игроков падает и азарт уходит. Понятно, что это дает возможность играть хорошими игроками тем, у кого нет времени играть часто и помногу, однако интерес к собиранию команды уходит, ведь я могу собрать топ сборнуб вообще без проблем. И у каждого второго сейчас топ тима, все игроки одинаковые у всех. Ну такое. Спасибо, Конами, но это слишком. Я бы выкрутил возможность выпадения топ игроков в два раза, например.    … Expand

If you are looking to enjoy game play, this is the game to pick. If you want to enjoy looking at real teams kits, then FIFA is your type of game.

    Best football game ever, the gameplay is so realistic and the graphics is stunning. Dont pay attenton to negative comments, they are fanboys who cant stand that their game without licences will be dead.

    Lack of license it has an option file to solve this problem the defence has anew style in bringing the ball and every player has his own style due to reality i recommended it for all

    Different then another franchise, PES19 the player has real movements. There are 45 stadiums, grass and weather in different conditions. About the leagues, much more then in the past, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Italy and    I got surprised.     Downloaded the option file, have emblems kits you name it but besides that omw this game is amazing. The gameplay, how the players move, hold on to other, each player is different. Absolutely spectacular, it's heaven on earth. Best footie game I've ever played hands down, no licenses download the files I'm going to design a few kits myself. Graphics out of this world, although i don't haveDownloaded the option file, have emblems kits you name it but besides that omw this game is amazing. The gameplay, how the players move, hold on to other, each player is different. Absolutely spectacular, it's heaven on earth.     ¡Ha vuelto el rey ! Pes 2019 nos entrega una jugabilidad de un altísimo nivel, como hace tiempo no se veía en juegos de fútbol.
    Pros:
    Entretenimiento garantizado, cada partido es un mundo
    Los modelados gráficos lucen espectaculares en estadios y jugadores.
    Jugadores poseen características particulares marcadas que se notan en cuanto a contacto físico, desplazamiento, reacción y otras variables.
    Iluminación cuidada.
    Sistema de fatiga física que se nota mucho en el desarrollo de los partidos.
    No hay jugadas imposibles, cualquier movimiento o pase debe calcularse a conciencia.
    Sistema de control y pase ajustado a la realidad.

    Contras: Las licencias, pero cuando buscamos un simulador de lo que pasa de verdad en una cancha de fútbol, lo que menos interesa es una camiseta o un logo.

    On the pitch is where PES shines and that's all that matters in football games. It's realism is unmatched and every goal is possible. FIFA may be the better game all around, but PES is the far superior football game.

I've now played 40+ matches of the full release and I'd say 75% of the CPU goals are low crosses from the wing or byline.

    Headers are essentially non existent. Keepers don't come off their line for 1-on-1s, equally easy goals. Refs are inconsistent, though for the most part pretty good with the exception of giving up soft penalties.

    Defending is terrible. On one hand the AI mark so loosely, it's tough to even get close to the CPU and they finish with super high passing stats every game. Tackling is terrible and will result in fouls 2/3 times.

    In addition, the responsiveness of the game is severely lacking, and sometimes it can feel like you're playing a turn based game as you wait for the AI to do it's thing.

    I'm a former PES hardcore fan but this just isn't good enough. And that's not even getting into the shambles off the pitch. Oh, and not to mention the game didn't even release with updated squads.    … Expand

I skipped the 2018 year altogether, but have been an 80% PES / 20% FIFA player for the past 15 years or so, with PES2017 being my last one. Until this one, I've never really fell like I fell into a rut, but it genuinely feels like there's only one reliable way to score, with a bunch of quick short passes in front of goal followed by a one-touch into the net. In PES2017, I would take corners and at least get contact on what felt like half of them. With PES2019, I don't recall getting contact on more than a single one (probably a fluke), so I end up taking them short and doing the aforementioned rut passing. Same with free kicks. Almost no point. I still try every now and then and the keeper barely has to try. So it's again, back to the high percentage attack. So I eke out a goal and then park the bus. If you like watching Mourinho in year two or three of a contract, you'd love watching me play.. OTHER NOTES: I only play Master League. I don't care about the generic kits, because I'd rather they spend that money on their developers/designers and then spend 10 minutes downloading kits and Cup logos. Would be neat to have an American League with some faux MLS teams #SaveTheCrew. I don't mind this year's menus. Negotiations and budgets are much better than 2017. Players seem to develop slower. In my 3 seasons, only 1 player has underwent the "Rapidly developing" metamorphosis to turn into a beautiful butterfly, where in PES2017 I was usually juggling 2 or 3 going through the change at a time. CONCLUSION: I'm not having a lot of fun, but I'll keep playing and hoping it gets better. When I really start to regret my decision, I watch some FIFA on Twitch, and I'm glad I got PES this year.… Expand

    Superb gameplay and MyClub is highly addictive. I don't particularly play offline but I enjoy the online scene. There is a lot to learn, which takes a while to familiarise yourself with, but afterwards it is really enjoyable. My gripe is that there are not enough online COM competitions, which impacts progression and also featured players has been a big failure.

Many times the defenders stand by and watch the ball rolling or an attacker passing by with ease and score. Changing the player when out of posession is also very bad and it changes a player far away from the ball or the attacker. Passing the ball is a mess even when you are very well positioned and many times the ball reaches straight into the opposing player. Those long balls over the defense are the most OP in this game. My club game mode is nothing but a CASH COW for KONAMI, same as the other football competitor and players contracts are to expensive. The only option to survive in MY Club is to farm coins but then there is no charm in playing it anymore.
    The only good thing with this game is player animations and ball physics and thats why i will give it a 2 star rating: one for the animations and one for the ball physics.
    I am neither a Fifa or PES fanboy . I just want to play a decent football game but in the last few years none of them deserved to be played.

    The game simply ignores your analog direction sometimes and also ignore your late adjustments to pass direction. The moment you press "pass" it will pass that way , you can no longer make late adjustments to pass target once the animation starts which causes alot of passing errors and since most players know this, they just sit back and wait for you suffer this flaw.

    *Terrible slow sluggish, networking:
    PES has to grow balls and start letting users filter players with Wi-fi connections. The online gameplay is a torture to play when the other jack realises that he cant compete starts the torrents in his pc.

    *Terrible defensive AI: The defense is always doing the wrong things unless you select and correct it by super-cancel which is a chore especially online.

    Intentionally bad "catch up system"
    You are literally against the game's catch up system. The more active you play the better the other team performs incase of interceptions, finishing, Hi-balls, it s like the game is constantly cursing you and you are at your worst day but it is an agony to watch your opponents, spammy passes or blind 180degree clearences reach their target like "magic".

    Playing this game is a chore, none of your skills like perception, reflexes , anticipation is rewarded. i dont enjoy winning or losing as i know the truth that the goals come from abusing this problematic passing and defendind system.

    The game is always trying to even the skill gap between the opposing players by sabotaging pass targets, letting wrong passings go through, headers won.

    - Stating the obvious - licenses. I get now you can have it all added in, but it really doesn't feel the same. Especially with the majority of stadiums missing.
    - Become A Legend is just boring after a few months, no real indepth into it.
    - Master League's unrealistic transfers, seems both PES and FIFA struggle with this.
    - Commentary is unbelievably repetitive after a few games. Without licenses, it's tough for them to actually talk about the club, so you'll begin to hear the same stuff very quickly. And trust me, it does get annoying.
    - WHERE IS THE CARABAO CUP?! Even when FIFA didn't have that license they still had the League Cup in the game.
    - Another state of the obvious - lost the UEFA licenses.
    - Menus still feel old, and sound old.
    - (Opinion) there's not much music choice, and most of the songs are average at best.

    I compare PES to FIFA a lot because I'm a die hard FIFA fan and I have been since I was 5 years old playing FIFA 98. PES plays wonderful, it really does. But without the licenses and below average commentary makes it more difficult to play.     Another year, another PES. Nothing that was bothering players of this franchise fixed. Lagcheaters - check. Whitebenchers - check. COOP that allows you to play 1vs3 - check. The COOP is especially tricky. How do you have the cohones to call something COOP and then let the AI control your team while you play as a single player. This is a pathetic excuse for a game.

    Game Modes
    My biggest complaint about football games on consoles is that they are repetitive. Playing a league seems to be more of a grind than a fun past time. Each game slowly but surely blends with the previous game with very little to differentiate them. That didn’t seem to be the case with PES 2019

    First up let us discuss the multitude of game modes packed into the game. You have your usual single player cup and league modes that are the staple of any PES game but after that you also have:

    Master League: A staple of the PES franchise the Master League is of course here again. For those that haven’t played Master League before the premise is simple. You start with a team of below average players and through determination, skill, tactical prowess and some good business in the transfer market you aim to take your team from the bottom of the second league to global domination.

    Become a Legend: This is an interesting mode that has been a staple of PES for a few years but one I have never had the pleasure of playing. Playing as a single player trying to break into the team. This takes a completely different view of the game and plays so much differently. Rather than controlling whichever player on your team has the ball you can only control your player.

    This approach to football means the focus is more on what you do off the ball rather than on it. Maintaining your position, adhering to the team tactics. This also means if your playing as a striker you have no choice but to look on crestfallen and impotent as your team lets in goals. The fact you have to hug just inside the halfway line waiting for the counter-attack means you can’t run into the box and defend.

    Co-op mode: This mode is one I would have loved to have tried out as the idea really appeals to me but unfortunately during the time I had to carry out this review I didn’t have a chance to arrange it. Quite simply it is a 3v3 match and whilst you can use computer players it felt redundant to do so. This game mode is obviously designed for when you have the lads round. Playing it any over way seemed moot.

    Online Divisions: Now we start getting to the online modes which is where PES 2019 really comes alive. Don’t get me wrong the offline modes are so numerous that you would be happy with that content at the full price. First of the Online modes is Online Divisions. Quite simply a 10 game seasons against other online players to really push your ability and test your skills.

    Team Play Lobby: Team play lobby is a mental game mode. Honestly, it is nuts. 22 players take one player each. It can be a player you have developed yourself or one featured. Trying to play a game of tactics, possession and fluidity is mental when you have 22 people doing their own thing. Great for a laugh and a wonderful addition to the game overall.

    myClub: Of course myClub has returned. This like FIFA Ultimate Team is probably a massive cash cow for Konami. The concept is brilliant and more suited to the armchair tactical football fans than the arcade players. Whilst you do still have to play the game and control your team. This mode is for the hardcore players. You start with your team and earn points and coins to sign new players on short contracts. Such as Counthino for 5 games or David Beckham for 10 games. Alternatively, you can buy coins via microtransactions to help you progress.

    myClub really is the heart and soul of PES 2019 and this will be the big draw for most players. The fact that there are a ton of other modes could quite possibly be a bonus that gets ignored.

    Overall thoughts
    As I mentioned at the beginning of this review, PES 2019 is the first time I have played a football game in 3 years. I was very impressed by the number of game modes on offer and the variety amongst them. Graphically the game is great. Not stunning but great. Controls within the game can sometimes feel a little unresponsive but maybe that was just me being rusty.

    On the pitch, the game is playable but ultimately a simplified football game with on-rails action at times. Player switching doesn't work a lot and so your defender ends up stationary while a striker gets to the ball first. The closest player to the ball will ignore it while someone further away will make the run instead and fail to get the ball.

    Finishing feels random. The goalie will make super saves from close range diving far to their side, or the striker will narrowly miss the corner of the goal with their shot.

    They have retained the ridiculous back-heels where a player will back-heel the ball at a speed just faster than the player chasing it. It then gets to the next player and he back-heels it at the same speed to the next player again chased by a player who can't change his pace in any way to collect the ball.

    Lots of little flicks and tricks, none of which are the user pressing anything special to do them. The game just makes it look good, which is maybe why it gets glowing reviews from magazine reviewers who sound like they're new to football - "Wow, I just crossed the ball doing a rabona and it did an overhead kick - all I did was press cross and shoot!".

    The "It's on the pitch that matters" is the most repeated mantra of PES players. I played the Fifa 19 Beta and even if you ignore licensing, commentary, graphics, audio, menus, it feels far better to play than PES.

    Get ready to trade this in once Fifa comes out. Of course, I am paid by EA!!

    Excellent ball physics, animation, photorealistic picture from broadcast camera. The gameplay delivers is incredible pleasure. Konami need to improve every game modes they have. But even in the current state, the game is better than fifa.

    I really want to give this game a high score but I just can't give Konami that credit. I had great expectations after enjoying the 2017 version so much and the demo looking very good. Sadly the game is ruined by several frustrating issues.

    Without going into detail: 1) Player switching logic is awful at times 2) Inability to come towards an underhit pass 3) Awful teammate AI,    I really want to give this game a high score but I just can't give Konami that credit.     Until these relatively easy to solve issues are fixed, it will be a struggle to enjoy the game, particular on the higher difficulties.

    The gameplay of the bots is terrible: extending through the flank — cross — header shot. No difference who plays against you: PSG or Spal. All the same.

    I can not update the roasters and play MyClub - it does not connect to the servers.

    Super terrible game.

Tbh the god awful AI will ruin this game n makes it unplayable, and ensures that despite the great gameplay.. imo PES 2019 will not be fondly remembered. I cant see Konami patching this out/changing it either. Its hard coded into the game. Its not a bug. This is it. So Master League which already was a outdated, barren mess, is a complete non-starter for me now.

    And speaking of Master League mode: Only two leagues in the game have 2nd divsions, making every other league a waste of time and repetitive as hell as there is no promotion & relegation, the transfer market in Master League is still a joke and broken af!(i mean top teams will sell their best players like its nothing, often infact they'll say so many players that they'll then have not enough players to actually start games!). Did anyone at Konami even play-test this game!, Like wtf!. Simply put, tldr... This game is a rushed, lazy, outdated, barren, half-assed piece of crap with no real substance.     defending is randomly sometimes steal the ball some times dont, online is horrible delaying after 1 sec you press some button makes the action when you steal a ball the players remains paralyzed wondering why lost the ball, defense suddenly attacks leaving the goalkeeper alone, header goals dont exist, if you win or lose is just luck fifa thousand times better, players weight 1 ton

The goalkeeper is great (sometimes too great) at shot-stopping, but if you make him comes off the line....useless.     All i found playing this game was manipulation (some players call it Handcap). The game just won let you score if it feel like it. Dont waste your money buyng this poor game. You have better options if you want a game that you dont win buy playing well, but the mechanism decides what happens...

    This rating is for offline play. The AI is broken and utilizes the same tactic no matter who you play. The new and "improved" transfer system is broken as the AI is selling players left & right. Some times leaving teams with 4 goalies as subs???? The salary system is also broken when starting with the defualt master league players.

    Pro Evolution remains the superior title when compared to EA's offerings but still has too many frustrating issues to make for a truly satisfying experience. The main online mode (MyClub) is also still to much like hard work when trying to train players and keep them under contract, in an attempt to get you to spend your money of course...

    - Game play, which was in the past the strength of PES. The game doesn’t encourage you to delve deeper as whole game play is based on ping-pong passing. People are waiting for opponent's mistake since it's impossible to defend against the ping pong, there is an abuse of pace, a lot of goals are scored from simple tap-ins after ping pong passes and 1-2's, player selection is bad, even after the patches. The most effective dribble is to run in a circle around the defender, really bad implementation. Advanced shooting was destroyed, you shoot 10 times in the same way with the aiming target ON and ball goes in 10 different ways (I’ve played advanced shooting for the last 5 years)
    - There are no dedicated servers - the lag encountered online is between comedy and horror, that being combined with the fact you wait sometimes 5 to 10 minutes for an opponent
    - Myclub mode was destroyed with Featured players introduction, which was bad implemented, destroyed the realism of differences between top players and average ones, made Legends redundant and it made the game a Pay to Win roulette since Featured players can ONLY be obtained with real money. A simple estimation of getting Featured players weekly brings a total cost for the year of around 500 Pounds (on top of the game price)
    - The Pay to Win is accentuated by the weekly competitions which give in-game currency and EXP trainers to grow your team ONLY if you get Featured players from that week.
    - Rewarding system is non existing in Myclub, so if you win Division 1or Division 12 there’s no substantial difference as a reward
    - Weekly competitions introduced in Myclub force people to play boring offline matches on Amatory or Regular level to get special trainers. People should be allowed to choose a difficulty level and get a reward accord to the level.
    - 3 vs 3 Co-Op is destroyed by the fact Konami allows users to play Co-Op alone with 2 COMs, it ruins the fun for everyone, since the AI is very OP when having above 90 rated players. If we’d want to play Co-Op vs AI we’d go to play 3 vs COM of play offline vs COM.
    - Players don’t receive experience points in Friendly matches or in Co-op matches, hence users are forced to play modes they hate just to grow their team. The only modes playable which give Experience points are boring vs COM matches where there’s no competition/rewarding system created, Sim matches (LOL) or Ranked matches where the 4 out of 10 matches are full of lag.

The gameplay has been made a mess due to sloppy Ai control when defending, very little control over offensive Ai, the complete removal of goals from crosses (this was an issue in 2018, but it was the opposite), absolutely awful referees that seem to call no fouls to assist the player once on higher difficulties, and very repetitive goals once on higher difficulties. This game had a lot of potential due to the recent pes series installations (which were not perfect, but still fun) and has way too much of a focus on "realism" that dumbs down the gameplay to almost unplayable at points. Another bad thing about this game is the so called "improvements" to my club which change nothing, and at the end of the day fifa ultimate team is just a better game mode in all aspects. Master league (game mode which most PES players love the series for) has received literally almost no changes and neither has become a legend. This PES had the potential to be the equalizer between FIFA and PES, but it failed miserably since Konami seemed to prefer boring repetitive gameplay that is "realistic" over actual fun gameplay. My recommendation to anyone trying to get into the PES series is play PES 2016 and PES 2013 by far much better games that are probably the best in the PES series to date.… Expand

    I only play PES and I have never tried FIFA. I play just online games and only few games offline. I do not care about licenses and menues but about gameplay. You need to play quite a lot to understand that gameplay has problems which experienced players start to misuse to win and increase rating and on the other side killing the game.

    - Repeating precise long passes. Most of actions of lots of players are just repeating 3 or 2 long passes to the fast runner infront. Most of time with success. It is really annoying. How many such passes are really succesful in real world. Some of them yes, but most of them no.
    - Tackling. Pressure on the defense players when starting attack is really unrealistic. Too fast and most of them with fauls. It is really game killing. No game creativity can develop because there is not really time to keep the ball a little look around and pass or dribble. So to avoid that, lots of players are just using insane constant (no look) passing. Terrible. Especially, because even no look passes are always precise.
    - Corner kicks and side passes. How many of them in reality land exactly on the head of Messi. Few of them yes... Frustrating when Messi covered with 2 players scores with head with ball from nowhere.
    - Scripting. In the game when you play against "better team" and winning, strange things start to happen at the end (overtime). To make game more tense AI starts to give opponent incredible chances which most of times results in result changes. Frustrating.
    - Region lock. I really hate region lock. Most of times I play with Russians, Poles and Ukraininans and never for example with Italians. I live in Slovenia and Italiy is just 50 km away. I reallly do not understand.

    So in general gameplay is dissapointment and unrealistic. AI is weak Start to observe online games and learn. Try to tackle down the AI mistakes which are misused by some high rating polayers. Compare online games with real football games.

    A lack of licences and a absurd handicap in online modes made this the worst PES ever, maybe 14 was better, auto tackle is insane, and all defenders runs fast than any great player like Messi, Salah, Cr7, and after all they still calling PES a simulator, FIFa is horrible, but PES is the same, cheaters, online issues, a weak "FUT" mode,horrible game at all, only graphics don't make a great game.

Not to mention that the game is trying to be smart and suddenly after a 2-0 lead Jordan starts piling on the action as if it were Barcelona. Horrible experience. I don’t think there is much difference between the difficulty levels. One more thing, cut the kickoff animation in replays. People don't want to see the kickoff eveery freaking time.… Expand
