Aug 2, 2017It looks great, but the lag on you inputs makes the game unplayable at least on my 4K tv. It's such a disappointment I was really looking forward to playing this game on ps4 with trophies in HD. I'm pretty sure they cannot fix this with a patch.

Aug 1, 2017Used to love the PSP version but the remastered PS4 version suffers from an incredibly bad input lag issue making it almost impossible to keep up with the beat perfectly. There is a serious delay between pressing a button and the game reacting to it and some levels are completely unplayable because of this.

Aug 3, 2017Patapon is a great rhythm-game with a little touch of nostalgia. The first minutes I've played the game i was very upset about the input lag. Than i've plugged my earphones into the controller and the input lag was gone. Only playable with earphones, but than it's a really fun rhythm-game.

Aug 19, 2019This is a guide on how to ruin a franchise.
So bad designs.
Laggy music.
Lags.
There is so many negatives about this game. Just play itself.
It is unworthy. -

May 21, 2021This game blows goats for quarters, I have played many rhythm games. I am unsure as to why I cannot get past the intro. I checked it out on a whim and regret my purchase, hopefully someone sees this before they decide to pick up this reaking dumpster fire.

Feb 7, 2021It's the same masterpiece as the old psp version. Wakes me up so many memories from my childhood

Apr 29, 2020Patapon is an evergreen classic. This remastered is perfect. It doesn't add anything new but the game was already great back on the psp so there's no need to

Playstation Official Magazine AustraliaFeb 8, 2018Gorgeous eye-candy (mostly) and tunes that stay with you for decades. But years of rhythm games make the once revolutionary Patapon feel simplistic. [October 2017, p76]
-
CD-ActionNov 16, 2017Patapon’s charm is timeless but the PS4 edition underlines the game’s drawbacks, especially tedious grind necessary to progress, which was not so painful when you played the game in short sessions on a handheld. [11/2017, p.77]

Playstation Official Magazine UKSep 8, 2017There's been nothing quite like this conducting-meets-combat mashup since its original release, and it's still as wonderfully barmy and deeply moreish as ever. [Oct 2017, p.94]
