    I was not expecting Overlord 3, nor Diablo with Overlord characters. I was expecting a generic isometric hack-and-slash with an Overlord skin. That concept sounds like the best idea since riding a giraffe into battle. Unfortunately, it's a piece of crap. Codemasters really, really failed hard here. DO NOT BUY THIS.

    The gameplay is incredibly clunky and unresponsive -- worse than a crappy IOS game. The minions' AI is almost completely absent, making them effectively useless. The levels are poorly designed and annoying. Oh, and the game freezes for several seconds every time you shift areas, the autosave kicks in, any dialogue pops up, a new enemy comes into view, and at seemingly random times as well. It's beyond a minor annoyance. It is game breaking.

    On a positive note, the graphics are decent. They aren't fantastic, but everything is zoomed out enough that you don't really notice one way or the other. They look a lot like a slightly brighter Path of Exile. The sounds are pretty generic, but not bad. Minion hats are very mildly amusing.

    This game was not even close to ready for release. It COULD be made into a good game, but there is a lot of work to be done. I am not confident that any of that work will ever get done, considering how awful this release is.    … Expand

    this game looked fun in the beginning becouse i played it alone but later it was beginning to get truely boring . and is a struggle to play with friends with this dumb minions

    It’s bad enough that Overlord: Fellowship of Evil waters down the more substantial gameplay of its predecessors in favor of a generic action-RPG model, but that’s actually the least of the game’s problems. Technical problems make the framerate and collision detection bigger obstacles than the traps and enemies, and the level design reduces everything to the lowest common denominator.

    This is not at all the game that everyone has been waiting for all this time. Too bad Rihanna Pratchett didn't get it.

    Probably one of the most disappointing games to rear its ugly head this year, Overlord: Fellowship of Evil takes everything that worked so well in previous games and smashes it into a billion pieces in favor of a Diablo-based formula that simply doesn't work. Here's hoping this villain gets back to his dastardly ways soon, instead of following a blueprint that just isn't his style.

    It never gets old hearing the witty dialogue penned by Rhianna Pratchett, and the score is suitably epic and whimsical, but those are two bright spots in an otherwise dreary mess.

    A train-wreck spin off of a series that deserved so much better, Fellowship of Evil is an unholy combination of so many undercooked elements that it's any wonder the game made it to release. While Overlord certainly deserves better there is someone else who does too – you. Avoid.
