    I'd recently started to crave a game with 6-degrees-of-freedom, after remembering renting out Forsaken for the N64 when I was a kid.
    I had never played any of the Descent series of games before, but I found Overload to be exceptional. It's a brilliant game, up there with Doom 2016, at least for me.
    As someone who sometimes gets motion sickness when playing FPS, I was glad to find I    I'd recently started to crave a game with 6-degrees-of-freedom, after remembering renting out Forsaken for the N64 when I was a kid.
    I had never played any of the Descent series of games before, but I found Overload to be exceptional. It's a brilliant game, up there with Doom 2016, at least for me.
    As someone who sometimes gets motion sickness when playing FPS, I was glad to find I wasn't affected at all by any motion sickness. I adapted to the 6DoF straight away, leading to an extremely smooth and fun gaming experience for me.

    It's somewhat sad, that the game, at least on PS4, hasn't been marketed much if at all, and few people seem to be aware of its existence. It's such a great game, it really does deserve to sell well.

    Don't be put off by gameplay videos, if they seem to make you feel a little queasy, because when you're playing it yourself, there's no problem at all. It feels so good to not be restricted to just forward/back/left/right like in most FPS.

    The game is more of an old school experience, with proper level design and none of the boring open world type of level design so many games these days suffer from.
    I found the graphics entirely satisfactory, with pretty explosions and a mostly stable frame rate.
    The sound design is quite amazing, and I loved the music selection.
    Gameplay is pretty much spot on, and exactly what I was looking for.

    I give this game 10 out of 10, because it truly is what I hoped for.    … Expand

    This is the best space shooter since descent 1and2. So overslept and lacks recognition big time!
    Great setup and options. Deadzone options ect.

    Selten habe ich mich über ein Spiel so aufgeregt. Es gibt Positionen im Spiel, wo man wenn man dort abgespeichert hat, das Level nicht mehr schaffen kann. Entweder weil man zu wenig Leben hat, oder die Feuerkraft fehlt. Auch der Laser schiesst nicht unbegrenzt. Dann gibt es Gebäude an denen Gegner Spawnen und somit ein unbegrenzter Nachschub an Units kommt. Beim Versuch zu rushen, stelltSelten habe ich mich über ein Spiel so aufgeregt. Es gibt Positionen im Spiel, wo man wenn man dort abgespeichert hat, das Level nicht mehr schaffen kann. Entweder weil man zu wenig Leben hat, oder die Feuerkraft fehlt. Beim Versuch zu rushen, stellt man fest, dass man diese Gebäude nicht zerstören kann, sodass man einfach nicht weiter kommen kann.
