Aug 22, 2019So yes this game isn’t perfect, they have to fix a few things like dodge mechanics and the combat feels a little sluggish. I must say that I love the premise and look of the game. I would give the game a 8/10 but im giving it a 10 because of the biased reviews that don’t make sense.

Aug 29, 2019Was looking for something similar to Nier Automata but it is not even close, combat is somewhat fun but overal is a quite mediocre game, no cinematic scenes is like playing a Ps1 game.

Oct 5, 2019Unispired artstyle and boring gameplay. You can't even cancel your attacks into dodges and et cetera. This game sucks, what were they thinking?

Nov 28, 2020LOVE Tokyo RPG Factory and his newest piece Oninaki. The story is lovely and PERFECT, with an amount of interesting characters. Love the amazing soundtrack. This is not a turn based rpg, maybe hack n' slash with some rpg details. I don't know why reviews doesn't like this game. I recommended SO MUCH!!

Nov 20, 2020I really enjoyed my time with this little JRPG. So much so that I kind of wish they would have been more ambitious with it and turned it into a full-fledged AAA release because the story and the world here definitely deserves so.
What we got, however, is a humble retro throwback that is great fun and memorable on its own and, because of it, I still fully recommend it to fans of classic JRPGs. -
Mar 31, 2023Bad gameplay and bad plot. The only good thing it is the graphics, that is quite unique.

Oct 15, 2019Oninaki is my favorite Tokyo RPG Factory game to date, with its gorgeous art style and melodic music and its more appealing storyline. It may be far from perfect, but it is certainly worth a look if you fancy a slightly different take on a well-established genre.

Oct 8, 2019Oninaki has an unbalanced battle system and lacks any guidance through its appealing story. Yet the unique setting and world should be interesting enough for most players to want to see it through.

Oct 7, 2019While Oninaki had its fair share of ideas that could have potentially made it a gem, it is ultimately undone by weak storytelling that doesn’t do its heavy subject matter justice and combat that is enjoyable at times yet held back by design flaws that hinder the experience. It never quite executes its best ideas in a wholly satisfactory way, resulting in a game that I tried my best to open my heart to, but the game refused to open its own.
