a fun game to play with your friends, this game is more of a goofy game for kids.me and my friends enjoy this game weather we co-operate or not. yet i feel like the game is just a bit to easy and there must be more challenge to it.

Had a great laugh playing Octodad with my little brother. Hilarious game, just far too short for my liking (finished it in an afternoon). The artwork and 3D models are quite inconsistent. Octodad - great 3D model and textures but everything else is a step down in quality (if not multiple steps down for some)

Great game! So much fun, absolutely hilarious. The controls are difficult but not THAT difficult, and that's the whole point. *Haven't finished the game yet but I'm very close*

Good: - The humor is done splendidly - The interaction is very well done, you can pretty much interact with everything - The grocery store level has to be one of the best levels in a video game, I don't think I've played a game where you can "shop" .. virtual shopping as a requirement (Without menus/talking to a npc) would be a neat

    - The wife's voice is very irritating to me.
    - The story and game are too short (even for its price)

The game is fun and goofy at times, but sometimes you wanna grab your controller and throw it at the screen cause no matter what you do, his arm or leg wont go where you want it. The game still has its good parts tho; with funny quotes and sayings from the wife to the husband(Octodad). Plus the whole "noboby is aware that he is a octopus" is hilarious in itself. Octodad is one of my favorite games of the year. It's colorful, charming and just funny. The gameplay is ridiculous and somewhat genius. It's just a very fun and re-playable game. That's all there is to it.

Fun entertaining game. The story is heartwarming. The levels are fun and the sheer ridiculousness of the game is worth having friends with you. It's a tad short and i thought the aquarium level was dragged on for a bit.

Octodad: Dadliest Catch seems like a nice game. It has pretty good visuals, creative gameplay and an ok story. The problem is that it's really boring. It's boring. It's very boring. IT'S BORANG.

Playing as a married ‘man’ with two kids (that no one has realised is actually an octopus) Octodad tasks the player with completing, what for a human being, would be pretty simple objectives such as mowing the lawn or walking down the aisle at you wedding. Of course being an octopus these objectives aren't quite so straightforward.

I have read a number of complaints regarding the awkward controls but, with each of your four limbs having to be controlled independently, that’s the whole point of the game. Yes, the gameplay is pretty one note and the game isn't all that long but, particularly if played with a friend or two, it’s pretty good fun and provided plenty of laughs along the way.

This is an alright "mini" game. You really will beat this game in a a couple of hours. Now what makes this game sell is the unique controls in a form of an octopus, where each corresponding button moves it's left/right arm and leg. However once you get the hang of the controls, the gameplay becomes stale, it isn't challenging, it's frustrating. The levels are very simple with simplistic "I've played this minigame before in another game" type feel to it. What should be a goofy game, it became in my opinion a little too serious with a lack of decent story. Basically, to me as the game kept going on, to me it didn't get more fun, it got more frustrating with uninteresting level design and cheesy backstory. To end, if you're looking for a quick two hour mini game, go for it (didn't try co-op). But if you're looking for more than that, probably should pass. Expand

What is this games!?: A whimsical world right out of a 1960s tv show with the perfect white family except with you, the dad, being a secret octopus. The entire point of the game is to be as inconspicuous as possible about moving around and interacting with the world. The difficulty comes from the controls. You control each individual limb as you try flop around as little as possible. What is this games!?: A whimsical world right out of a 1960s tv show with the perfect white family except with you, the dad, being a secret octopus. Pros:
    -Funny background dialogue
-Interacting with the world is pretty funny (I hit my wife on the head with a coffee mug....on accident...really)
-It is a game you want to show to friends AND there is even co-op.

    Cons:
    -Short game. Possibly 4 hours
-I myself could only play the game for about an hour at a time before it starts to get annoying
-Is it fun? Or just so strange that it is entertaining? I can't tell.

the game also feels very complete and thats not worth overlooking, nothing feels wasted. every chapter feels right. but anyway play it yourself!

Fun at first, then it gets frustrating. The controls are terrible. This is pretty much a tech demo being passed off as a real game.

Listening to the OctoDad song this game is meant to be goofy and just fun to play. It is, the story progresses at a good pace and the controls are wonky on purpose to make you feel like octoDad. Only at the end where I had a few camera issues did i feel a bit frustrated but it's a fun game overall.

Fun for the most part and charming enough to get by, but some frustrating sections and a poor art style keep it back. Plus the game has some boring sections.

I wish I could say it's equal parts funny and frustrating, but I think frustrating wins out. The terrible controls lead to some absurd comedy (much like the entire concept of the game) but they also lead you to curse out loud when you can't complete the simplest of tasks. And the intentional humor is cute but never outstanding. A short and sweet game that was a nice breath of fresh air from ultra violent and dark video games.

Octodad: Dadliest Catch is a good time filler, to put on whist you have a spare fifteen twenty minutes. But I wouldn’t recommend paying the full asking price for something thats gimmick wears off pretty fast and leaves you longing for “those good parts”.
