    Have played nba 2k since the dreamcast era and have to say I'm done. The gameplay is so slow and the a.i is terrible. The older generations might not have been perfect, but they were fun, this is not. Maybe its my age (I'm in my late 20's) but I doubt it. Sadly it's not just 2k, the whole AAA gaming industry sucks.

    I could record a single season game, chop it into 30 second clips and be able to show you everything wrong with the gameplay. Downright idiotic shot iq, slow gameplay, fouls every 3 possessions at least just to name a few. You have to control every facet of the game for teammates to be able to score I am on the clippers and I’ll be lucky for kawhi and PG to go 7-20 shooting. Even on rookie setting while I am trying to learn. even making an honest effort and even after reviewing the training sessions, defense is especially ridiculous. I try what I’ve practiced and still the opponent- again, on ROOKIE- exploits every weakness and scores. Penalties are way too sensitive. Every attemptWow, frustrating as all heck. Even after practice sessions, I still find my team immaculately guarded when I’m on offense, even when I practice moves like the pick n roll. I give this game one star just for the cool graphics. But I haven’t been this quickly discouraged and frustrated upon starting a game in a long time. Would pursue a refund if I could. Terrible game.… Expand

    Terrible! Terrible! game no fun at all they keep changing the shot meter every year the a.i on the other team guard you like a hall of famer while your own team can't guard the other teams a.i I will NEVER buy another nba 2k ever!!!!!

    This game wants to be everything. And when you want to be everything than most of things are average. This game is simply too heavy. I only play online. Mostly REC. I did not nothice any change from the last year. It could be a really good gameplay, but mostly destroyed by unrealistic capabilities. So please find the way for the gameplay to be more realistic. Force such players to cool down and to find another more creative ways to score. Same with dunking.… Expand

    Absolute trash, it's starts with the face scan which does not work properly (on Android phone) ,it gives you a long vertically stretched face but 2k does not care to fix it. it's not possible to get open for a shot in career mode. Seems like a casino game with all the attention on the neighbourhood. I played and lost ,2k has my money and wins in the end the casino always wins..

    Di not expect to writer this review....the game has the NO PROGRESSION VC bug in My Carrer.....cant Belive It....After 5 h of playing in My carrer....no VC gain....now i have to Wait a patch....going back to 21 sadly.....but they hot My Money.. the last One....

    ps4 still hasnt gotten the city... gameplay feels the same as always and since there is no city, the ps4 mycareer is rushed and awful
    this was the first 2k title i didnt buy since 2k13, only played it because i got it for free and even then i regret downloading it

    I loved 2k20 but this is a total crap.
    As usually the 2k servers are lagging. The game nothing technical about it. Everyone can be a shooter from 70 overall no sweat, stealing the ball, and if you wanna dunk on people nonstop just a big guy. That’s why 99% of the builds are playshots, sharpshooters and glass cleaning    This is the first time that I ever regret so much buying a game!!!!

    One of the most overhyped and overrated games I have ever played. Favours shooters over anything, back and forth behind a screen or 2 every play. Absolutely boring trying to play a proper game just to watch this happen on both sides. Badges are pointless never work, pure slasher but somehow the points with no defence at all somehow out jump and/or block you? Unless you talk it up and overhype this game they favour you, as soon as i started voicing up at how bad this game is and has gotten my gameplay went downhill bigtine. Ball goes through me, hardly dunks anymore always layups even wide open lanes, slashing take and full sprint layups. And that one time i do get a dunk animation happening i either get blocked or miss. Absolute trash that im a pure slasher 95 deiving HOF badges yet i get blocked or stopped by non defenders and people with barely any def badges. Again overrated game, overhyped and absolute trash. Even the rewards are a low blow compared to others. 2k really have gone down hill big time. There's honestly not enough space here for me to say and explain at just how horrible and pathetic this game is. People may see me as coming across as i cant play or im not good. But if you saw what happens when i play you'd completely understand how biased and plain trash this game is. Shooter, slasher, defender doesnt matter ehat build i use i get bent over and screwed. Miss so many open 3's its ridiculous yet bigs with a 60 three point green everything...ok that sounds aboit right. Doeant mattwr what i do, what badges i have on, shooting, driving, rebounding i get screwed over by players that dont even get the badges to defend it and i miss everything. Slashing, i either get blocked or miss the dunk completely dont matter the badges or even my 95 driving. Shooting 88 3pt HOF badges wide open...miss...miss...miss. defending is attrocious, almost all def stats maxed i cant do anything, yet here are players with no def, a couple def badges and they defend like kawhi and block like Gobert even for a pg...again absolute trash and pathetic this game is.     No wonder this game has been on a 50%+ sale for the last two months - even though it was released so recently. The company must know how badly they screwed up.

    I won't go into too much detail: Pros: -The actual basketball gameplay isn't terrible Cons: -Full of microtransactions - literally asking you for money every few minutes -Menus look like pachinko -Game modes are mostly    No wonder this game has been on a 50%+ sale for the last two months - even though it was released so recently.     The AI is terrible. Players do not play logical basketball. The annimations are too overdramatic and take away user control too often. The MyCareer story is rushed and the progression system is still flawed. Badges override ratings. You cant manually upgrade your physical attributes (speed, strength, ect).     It's really sad that you need to spend at least $20 for a game that should be able to be fun for everyone. It's just one of the few ways that EA Sports tricks you into wasting your money on something that isn't real. Once you spend the money, however, it becomes a very fun game.

    I also don't know what 2K does with all their patches, shooting is off since a whole month, it's impossible to be consistent with open corner 3's, even without lags making you miss the visual ques! On the other hand, being a ball hogging speed boosting PG egomaniac seems to be still easy af for some folks... I'm just tired to be forced to play the way you tell me with all your garbage patches and I'm more than tired of this community who'd rather dribble 3 years before making a pass to the open man or become toxic and calling timeouts when you're about to score, simply because you have more points than them. I could go on and on, but it's easier to say that I'M F***ING DONE.

    For a first time player of any NBA game, this game is too hard to the point that it's not enjoyable. While downloading the rest, I was able to play the tutorial and while playing it I really enjoyed it.     It's safe to say that NBA 2K22 is a very good game. The gameplay has improved. There are new features. But I honestly feel that could be more. But overall, NBA 2K22 is a very solid, polished basketball game.

    As a kid I used to love basketball and Michael Jordan, then for like 20 years I didn't give a damn about this sport. Then after "Last Dance" and "Winning Time" my interest returns. I grabbed NBA 2k22 and I had awesome time. I did not know most of the modern players but I could play as a legends from the old times. MyLeague is fantastic, but it was the MyTeam that really hooked me. I usedAs a kid I used to love basketball and Michael Jordan, then for like 20 years I didn't give a damn about this sport. Then after "Last Dance" and "Winning Time" my interest returns. I grabbed NBA 2k22 and I had awesome time. I did not know most of the modern players but I could play as a legends from the old times.     That's the bar for all sports games. This game is just beautiful. It's basically impossible to try everything that it offers, I think this is the most replayble sports game of all time.

    Its like they took the gameplay of 2k20, improved it. took a seperate path from the trash game that 2k21 was, and actually made the game good. not only to mention the tons of new additions to the map, to mycareer in general.

Cheating A$$ CPU no matter what mode you play, there is nothing they cannot do even as a 40 overall they do things you can't do when first starting out my career. Terrible latency in the rec and the park unless your stats are good enough or you're a youtuber good luck getting a game in the park... not a very casualThis 2k is definitely better than 2k21 but still garbage as a whole. The microtransactions are horrid, they prey on all their fans to keep their greedy hands full. just thinks $100 for your build fully maxed $60-100 for the game and if you play myteam that's 50 or more dollars for a good team .. some people spend thousands on this one game. they like to capitalize off of basketball fans because n other basketball games are being made it's a huge monopoly and scam… Expand

    The current-gen version of NBA 2K22 is a disappointing mess of much of the same we've seen the last few years, with the exception of a few very welcome upgrades to the gameplay. Still it is necessary to mention that asking for a full price with the lackluster support in all other segments is atrocious and sadly probably not worth your time if you played 2K21. If you are a newcomer though, gameplay changes are pretty good, and it still is the best basketball game you can afford right now.

    NBA 2K22 becomes king of the court for another year in a row, raising its gameplay and playable mechanics to the Olympus of basketball. However, he is severely hampered by his decisions in other game modes and his constant monetization.

    NBA 2K22 is a surprisingly solid perennial release, refining and improving upon troublesome and dull mechanics with a generally more fun, accessible court experience. While its RPG ambitions are admirable, its quest system pales in comparison to the next-gen version. Overall, though, this current-gen version stands firmly on its own, offering a solid suite of modes and sweet basketball simulation.
