Within 1 day of game available I am matching up with people who have 85 plus rating players or better. So this is the new Fifa (pay to play.) Even aside from that. Game does not make them miss much, so skilled players will just drive you nuts all game even for the decent player. This game feels very much like others but with a little polished graphics and changes in the booth. All and all not worth the money. Expand

The Show is back and better. With new features to the ballplayer feature like the two way player and improvements to gameplay, MLB The Show 22 is a must have to baseball fans.

Somehow, someway... the game has gotten worse. It's still not optimized for XBOX, works poorly on Switch, and the only version to buy is the PS4 version, unless you like to listen to godawful music while playing. The new "commentary" repeats itself far more often than the previous group, and it makes you miss Vasgersian almost immediately. Not that I liked DeRosa much, but Singleton is about as dry and boring as they come. No visual improvements whatsoever, and now the game is far too easy. It's time for a MASSIVE facelift. We actually LOST a game in RBI, which was steadily getting far better, to be monopolized with THIS!? Unacceptable Expand

It's MLB The Show - it's fun like every year. I took some points off for "non gameplay" items. First the music I don't think is great. It's annoying actually. AND a point for the removal of Matt Vasgersian! He's been a staple and with the Show SINCE Inception! Now we get Boog and Stapleton. HUGE Downgrade!

Foul ball, foul ball, foul ball, perfect contact out, foul ball, foul ball, foul ball, foul ball, foul ball, foul ball, foul ball, strike out, foul ball, home run…..boring game. Really boring. MLB The Show 22 is a solid entry in the series, but it's largely the same game as last year, for better or worse.

MLB The Show 22 refines its legacy and its well tested game modes, while adding some cool new features like online co-op play. You can play addicting Dynasty Mode with one or two friends and, for the first time in the series, there is cross-play and cross-platform support. While not adding anything revolutionary, cross-platform is the major sell point of this year edition, helping to build one cohesive community.

For a game that showcases perhaps the most dynamic and wholesome athlete in generations, MLB The Show 22 ironically feels like the flattest and safest version of itself.
