I've long been wanting to see the game eventually jump to the console so that more people could discover it and find out how fantastic it is. So when Gazillion announced the console releases of Marvel Heroes when it was re-branded Marvel Heroes: Omega I was thrilled.

If you're a fan of the classic X-Men Legends or Marvel Ultimate Alliance games this is a great spiritual successor to those games which also takes a great deal of inspiration from the classic Diablo II. Plus if you're a fan of the Marvel Universe or the Marvel Cinematic Universe you'll be thrilled to see so many well known characters playable. Over 60 at current count with more coming soon.

Marvel Heroes: Omega has some great cross-promotion with the Marvel Cinematic Universe as well. Everytime a new movie comes out they're always launching new characters, new costumes, and new content that continues the experience at home. They recently did events tying into Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and Spider-Man: Homecoming. With Thor: Ragnarok right around the corner.

Marvel Heroes: Omega offers a fairly casual gameplay experience for those new to this type of game with optional challenges that can be undertaken for those who want a bit more challenge. It's a fantastic game that I always find myself coming back to even after all these years. And I can't wait to see what's to come in the near future. In fact, they just announced playable Carnage.

Great game! Free 2 play model works. True to the Marvel Universe. Plays a lot like diablo. Highly recommended to anyone who is a fan of comics or rpg element games. Thanks for bringing this to PS4 guys!

Just began playing this today and couldn't put it down for about 4 hours. It plays just like Marvel Ultimate Alliance and Diablo. The story is pretty negligible, especially if you are familiar with the Marvel Universe, as it only sets to re-introduce the characters most fans already know about. The story is pretty negligible, especially if you are familiar with the Marvel Universe, as it only sets to re-introduce the characters most fans already know about. Despite this, the open beta is pretty welcoming, as it lets you try out all of the characters first for as long as you want, until you're ready to "purchase" them. Fortunately, ALL of the characters can be purchased by gathering the shiny purple crystals (forgot their name), which means you don't have to shell out real money to get them. On the flipside, the game is still free-to-play and if you want the alternate costumes, that'll cost you real money.

The nice thing about this game is, you get a pretty wide selection of heroes (with many more coming hopefully, the PC version has DOUBLE the amount of playable characters) to work with. Leveling progresses at a good pace and there is plenty to do aside from the campaign. The powers are pretty cool and the progression tree keeps going until level 60.

Last, the entire campaign is playable regardless if you pay money for the game or not. So have fun!

Marvel fans will enjoy this, younger fans and newcomers will like it as well, just don't expect a complex narrative here.

I now proudly own, and play this game on 3 platforms. Originally a PC player 4 years ago, I'm happy to be able to play this on PS4 and Xbox One. I have so many friends who can now experience this game for the first time on both PS4 or Xbox because they are not PC gamers and now I can play my favorite game on the comfort of my own couch.

True fans of Marvel will love this game. They have representation from all of the major players (even the X-Men which is rare currently!) You'll especially love this if you've been looking for something after X-Men Legends and Marvel Ultimate Alliance. There's also always a ton of cross-promotion going on. I challenge you to find another game that offers as much diverse content, or supports the vast playable roster as Marvel Heroes. The game is constantly improving and evolving and Gazillion is one of the most passionate, interactive development teams I have ever seen.

You have the ability to play completely for free if you so choose or want, but also if you desire(like me) to speed things up or get some awesome looking costumes spending money has never felt so good! You can play the game at whatever pace and whatever difficulty you find the most fun and entertaining to your own style. Hardcore or casual, thousands of hours await you.

I'm so happy a larger audience can now see and play this game, and happy to see so many embrace and enjoy it. This only means the future can be brighter and brighter for Marvel Heroes.

Oh and one last thing, did I mention it has Couch Co-op?? Great for classic good times with your friends or bringing the family together for some fun.

Pretty bad game, they aren't releasing content since a lot of time. They simplified everything for consoles and now it's so bad that I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

WTF is this. OK, it's free to play, but its hard to mess up a game like this. Bland characters, no weapons or armor aaaand MASSIVE lag. The servers are a total catastrophy. Just ignore this one, its a complete waste of time.

If you own a PS4 don’t discount the fun and gameplay variety that can be gained by playing this free-to-play action game. For PC owners, gameplay with a PS4 controller seems looser and livelier compared to a mouse and keyboard. Don’t let the Marvel lore scare you away. I know several people that went in knowing just the basics and they still end up having a great time. Minimally, this PS4 version is a “must try”. Excelsior!

Marvel Heroes Omega is a dream that comes true on console for every Marvel fan, and for all the others gamers it’s a fun free to play action brawler with RPG elements.
