Oct 31, 2021Playing this in 2021 and I can't understand the low scores - it must have had a lot of technical issues at launch. It's a really great game and often on sale for very cheap. I played it after playing Dark Souls 1, 2, 3 and Bloodborne - and it's still a lot of a fun - if not quite as polished as a From Soft game. It clocks in around 15 hrs too - so kind of a Souls LITE or Light Souls if you will.

Jul 31, 2020I played this game in a sequence after Bloodborne and Dark Souls Trilogy, and do not understand why this game has such poor reviews.
The graphics are okay-ish, the story is okay-ish, but the gameplay, the combat, the exploration, all borrow heavily from FromSoft and is adequately executed. Without FromSoft, this is the next best thing. -

Dec 27, 2018Underrated game by Dark Souls fans, while actually it is pretty good game.
If you found Dark Souls games too hardcore, but still want something similar? You are more into more western stylistic game? Lords of Fallen are pretty much the game you will enjoy playing.
It is not quite triple A game, but more like very good AA+ game. -
Nov 5, 2017This game is sick, totally awesome!! I don't know what people are talking about it being trash. Those people are **** stupid. I really like it and the bosses are ridiculously hard.

Oct 31, 2016If you like playing Dark Souls as a slow moving heavy weapon tank then you will like this game.
It is slower than DS and requires timing and some finesse.
So far the skills/magic have been fun....original and strategic. -

Oct 18, 2015An easy mode of Dark Souls clone, but still worth buying. Graphic is nice, Sound is good. The Boss is not challenge as it's shape.
Graphic :8
Sound: 8

Jun 17, 2015Beautiful game that was fun to boot! Bought this game recently and had a ball playing it! Since you can pick up this game pretty cheaply now I would highly recommend it!

Apr 26, 2015Lords of the Fallen is a great game! The graphics are beautiful and the gameplay is great! It is a very challenging game, but not a frustrating one. The only thing that I disliked about this game was the story, which was pretty dull.. It was not bad, but not very intriguing.. In my opinion, this game is a must for all gamers who like a challenge.

Mar 18, 2015Good game. Was verry challanging for me. First time playing this type of game. People say it resembles dark souls so these games will be on my to do list.

Mar 8, 2015Very underrated. This is a beautiful game with fantastic, challenging gameplay. The combat is great, and it has a nice learning curve. Do not overlook this game, it is a gem.

Dec 22, 2014Amazing game! Don't know why such low reviews. Hangs with ds. Both have pros and cons. Best next Gen game so far in my opinion. Great work. Looking forward to part 2! A must have for fans of the genre. Simply awesome!

Dec 3, 2014It's not mind blowing... but it's definitely worth your money. You can get serious hours of pure fun out of this game. A must buy for any Souls fan who isn't still playing the first Dark Souls.
-
Nov 26, 2014This game has been great so far, and honestly builds on the foundation of the souls series in a lot of ways that FROM plans to do in Bloodborne. It's absurd that reviewers gave this game such low scores.
-
Nov 20, 2014A great looking challenging Action RPG for next-gen. Similar to Dark Souls but different in many ways. Very solid enjoyable game! I hope we get a sequel.
-
Nov 19, 2014I've played the souls games for over 500 hours. I know them all back and front.
And I really enjoy this game.
It's not as good, but it's a good game. I'm on my second play through and I'm finding all sorts of secrets and things that I missed the first time.
Fun game!

Playstation Official Magazine UKDec 28, 2014A packet of steak McCoy's next to Dark Souls II's ribeye. The action is handsome and combat can bite, yet with Bloodborne on the horizon, Lords is a bit of a hard sell. [Christmas 2014, p.86]
-
Games Master UKDec 21, 2014At times bearably similar to Souls, at others woefully at odds with its philosophy. [Christmas 2014, p.]

Play UKDec 18, 2014Lords is a solid and enjoyable action RPG, but suffers a little at the hands of over-ambition. [Issue#251, p.74]
