May 14, 2023This DLC reinforces what I most dislike in that game: how much linear the puzzles are.
Since the game lacks responsive commands, it's not rare trying to do something right, but the game doesn't "register" it, and you proceed to do another thing for quite a time. Well, besides that, I liked the minions stuff. Reminded me of a chapter of Inside - quite similar in concept. Good conclusion.

Jan 8, 2018The ending to Little Nightmares: The Hideaway is very creepy indeed, and looks to tie things together with the exploits of Six from the main adventure, perhaps in the next piece of DLC. For now, though, this finely crafted puzzle-platform-adventure is highly enjoyable and truly gripping and tense in places. More laidback than The Depths, though, this makes for a better experience overall as the whole atmosphere can be appreciated more. A few minor gameplay hiccoughs cannot take away from the fact this will definitely be a few quid well spent, and hopefully the wait for the next episode is not too long.

Jan 2, 2018My hope is that the final expansion will right the ship and highlight what makes Little Nightmares unique. However, for the time being, the Maw’s dirtiest secret is that it’s not actually hiding anything interesting.

Nov 29, 2017The Hideaway offers up some interesting ideas but the application of the escort missions and buddy mechanics fail to impress and serve to pull down what would have otherwise been a passable, if uninspired, addition to the Little Nightmares story.
