    This game definitely exceeded my expectations. The story is well executed, the art and graphics are a joy to look at and there's an incredible amount of content, so many things to do and collect. It's funny where it needs to be and not overly dramatic in just the right places, a perfect balance of tone. Plus it just feels like the team that created this had the joy consistently flowing.This game definitely exceeded my expectations.     This game is great fun, and there is lots to do. My nephew loves playing it in co-op. It would get a 10 but they somehow failed to include the option to invert the Y axis!

    Another Lego games with basically the same attributes , technically the game looked good for one of the first PS4 game, even if not gorgeous, the game also add one annoying glitch that I call the "infinite loop of death" where you die as soon as you reappeared (and makes you restart from your last save point).     The story is not base on any particular movie or comic and yet it's very good with the Lego humour you'd be expecting and a great mix of all Marvel most popular licenses, the story itself will last approximately 10 hours but with a nice open-world full of collectibles and some bonus levels the game will last around 25 hours (if you're not the kind of gamer that is interested by collectibles I wouldn't advice any Lego game).

    As always another of the main argument to buy the game is its local co-op mode that will provide great fun playing with your friend/child in a game that mixes puzzles, platforming and fighting elements.

    All in all Lego Marvel Super Heroes is a fine Lego game, that makes the Marvel universe shine, always very fun to play even if it lacks a bit of challenge for hardcore players, very advisable for young players and aficionados from either Lego or Marvel franchise.    … Expand

    I really enjoyed this game! The open world, enjoyable gameplay, fun co-op, and unlockables are all positives towards the game. Plus, the relatively smart writing, ridiculous array of characters, and more of an action approach with this installment in the LEGO game franchise really made it one of the better ones.

    This is one of the greatest Lego games to date. With loads of characters, and great free roam and adventure, this is a must buy for any Lego fan. Only the story felt a little pointy at some parts.

    I played this with my 5 year old. She absolutely loved it! I've played about 8 other lego games before, and this is the best one yet. The open world is amazing, and so many characters. Even after getting the platinum trophy, my little one still wants me to open it up so she can drive around the city.

A change of pace from other LEGO titles, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes is set in the Manhattan district of New York, with one of the best open worlds I've ever seen.
    TT Games did a fantastic job creating an open-world environment, with    LEGO Marvel Super Heroes is easily one of the best games I've ever played, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes was the first game I played on my PlayStation 4 console. A change of pace from other LEGO titles, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes is set in the Manhattan district of New York, with one of the best open worlds I've ever seen.
    TT Games did a fantastic job creating an open-world environment, with real-life locations such as Central Park and the Statue of Liberty transitioned into the colourful LEGO world, as well as iconic locations from the comics such as Stark Tower, the X-Mansion and the SHIELD Helicarrier all being available to visit. The city is also full of NPCs' with general dialogue, and most importantly vehicles, with the player being able to drive cars, cruise on speedboats and fly in helicopters and airplanes.
    But enough about the expansive open-world, the levels TT Games have implemented into the games are carefully crafted and a lot of care and creativity has clearly gone into them. The levels take you to iconic locations such as The Raft prison and Dr. Doom's castle. There are also a range of bonus missions, set in locations such as banks and gyms, which unlock certain characters for purchase when completed. In fact, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes has a myriad of characters from the Marvel universe, often classified into two categories: regular characters, which can perform normal tasks such as drive vehicles, and heavy characters, which can't fit through most doors, spawn in small gaps or drive vehicles, but can perform brute tasks like lifting heavy objects and tearing down buildings.
    It will take several hours to unlock every character in the game - some are unlocked via story or can be found on the streets, whereas some other characters require you to perform often difficult tasks or races, and even then cost a fortune *cough cough, Silver Surfer*, and one character in particular, Deadpool, requires to spend millions of studs - which are in-game currency - to unlock all red bricks - basically perks which enhance various aspects of your game - and even then complete a series of difficult missions. But it's all worth it in the end just to see a completed grid of characters.
    The game also has a couple of DLC packs, adding more characters to the mix: these include a DLC pack centred around characters from the Thor universe and a pack of obscure Marvel characters you've probably never heard of - for example, A-Bomb.
    Overall, the game is a fantastic play and definitely one of the best out there. The best thing is, it's not even that expensive! I couldn't find anything to criticise in this game, and I'm sure I've already gone into enough detail about what I like about it! I give it a 10/10 and definitely encourage you to buy a copy and try for yourself, and I can't wait until I can get the 'sequel' LEGO Marvel's Avengers, which looks like an even greater version of an already magnificent game.    … Expand

Like most other Lego games they is tones of collectibles, such as Stan Lee. However, the puzzles don't do a great deal in this game and have proven to be quiet unsuccessful. The game itself can have a few glitches but it doesn't tend to get in the way of gameplay. The AI can have strange actions during certain plays like free roaming, open world gameplay, etc...

    LEGO Marvel Super Heroes is a fun game for any age. My fiancee and myself beat the game already but noticed that we only completed 25% of the game. There are so many side quests and missions to do in this game. The graphics are amazing and the game play is addicting.

    Great story....Great Graphics....Funny Scenes.......Seeing Deadpool roaming around through missions this game is one of the best Lego Games i have played. Plenty of characters to play with and tons of collectibles to find throughout the story makes this game fun and time consuming at the same time.     The game has a bevy of glitches that require a restart. Most of the glitches are of the variety that the game runs fine, but whatever object or action you need to continue has been lost from the level. This is not something my kids understand and certainly not something you expect from a console game. Parental guidance is advised (as in you need to guide the kids to restart the game ever other play session).

    The scope of the game is huge. The number of heroes, voices, and actions are at the level of any triple-A title. Iron Man alone receives a half dozen suits including the notorious Hulk-buster armor. Even non-Marvel characters are playable like the Statue of Liberty herself. While some of the aesthetics follow "Avengers" movie, the story seems straight out of the "Superhero Squad" cartoon show. This is good for my kids, as they are way to young to see PG-13 but very much enjoy the kids cartoon. My daughter's main complaint is the scarcity of female superheroes, and again I agree. Games are for everyone.

    The gameplay itself is fun and kid friendly. Villains are defeated by solving puzzles and using team work. Villains are not defeated by precise control movements and twitchy reaction times. The LEGO characters are sometimes disassembled by walking in front of a laser beam or falling from a building, but they instantly pop back into existence. My kids were surprisingly free of frustration and that is what a fun game is all about.    … Expand

    this is a great **** game. if you are a marvel or lego fan, pick this up. i dont even need to explain it, but i will. it has an abundance of playable characters that can be used it its entertaining missions that have great writing, or in the open world of new york that has tons of varied side missions to do. i sunk hours into this game, and you should too.

In addition there are a ton of side quests to be completed in an open world you can explore during or after the main story missions are completed.     Lego Marvel Superheroes is a pretty good game, and becomes even more fun when playing with a friend. This game makes Lego and Marvel fans feel right at home, but I do feel like TT games was lazy with this game and could have done better.

    Just a great casual experience bursting with fun and colour. Fantastic combination of the typical lego gameplay and the Marvel World. This is not a challenging game but that doesn't matter, this is an enjoyable experience for all ages.

    I'd like to start off by saying that most people now know that this s by far one of LEGO and TT Games greatest creations, but that doesn't mean, unfortunately, that the game is without flaws. The game is extremely fun and has the general ring of a LEGO game and keeps with the building brick theme very well. A main point that I felt was done well in this game was the levels. Each one is creative and you really do have to use your surroundings to figure out the problems. Whilst the game is marketed largely towards kids, it provides a good time for all ages, but the puzzles may seem a little lacklustre, but that is usually the case with LEGO Games, and they are honestly okay.

    My main gripe with LEGO Marvel is that sometimes it isn't very clear where everything is or how you should go about completing something that should be fairly straightforward. An example of this is the Rykers Island Prison Level. At the beginning there were several points where I actually believed that something hadn't spawned in correctly, but it was simply the vagueness of the situation and level.

    Another problem is something that stays with the open world exploration theme, the fact that, once you have completed the main storyline, got all the red bricks, etc, there's nothing much to do round the city apart from the Taxi Missions, which are very bland, indeed. Otherwise, the number of characters is amazing, the levels are generally very good, and the only problems are to do with the issue of a lack of things to do or ambiguity

    One last thing:

    I tried completing the Save Stan Lee Missions, but after I rescued him from the Big Top (not during the Ghost Rider Stage, but when he is atop the Circus itself) it seems to not have recognised it as a Mission Complete. Perhaps Stan Lee has spawned once again, but I can't find him as the minimap still says he is stuck atop the Big Top Tent. Glitch or No, I can't reach 100% which is something I actually ENJOY doing during LEGO Videogames (unlike many games).

    I would simply say, it is a fantastic LEGO Game, but I hope I have not sprouted seeds of doubt. After all, I have been focused on the negatives as we all KNOW the game is acclaimed as one of the biggest and best LEGO Games of all time! Just go out and buy it, so long as you don't mind getting a little lost or the fact it might glitch (especially during Character Customisation).

    Great game, playing it with my little brother and he enjoys it. The game has several things that makes him start to think, and try to do different things to solve the puzzle. Definitely a good game for kids. The game has great depth to it and several characters to play.

One minute you'll be underwater in a submarine fighting AIM agents, another, you'll be scaling the statue of liberty in search of some mutants.

    The gameplay is just like any other lego game. punch enemies, break stuff, solve puzzles, the usual suspects. But somehow, the gameplay feels even more at home here than ever. There are a LOT of characters as well. Unless you're a huge comic geek like me, you'll be breaking out your laptops to research those people. It's fun seeing in all my favorite characters in adorable lego form.

    My main gripe with the game is actually the characters as well. A majority of them are all too similar. Only a few have exclusive powers, and those powers are usually crazy or weird.

    As a longtime fan of lego games, this game has a great story, fantastic visuals and should keep kids playing for hours. It's a fun and challenging game that never lets us down all the way through!

    The combat itself is very use and forgiving, dying is not an issue. The challenge of Lego Marvel is use and combine all different powers of your +100 character to collect all secret items, and access secret areas. If there are any flaws with the story, it mostly revolves around with the objectives. This game does a horrible job at telling you what to do, I can't even begin to count how many times I got stuck and just ended up saying "screw this, I'm playing a different game!" But when you do beat the game and unlock free mode, it is unfortunately underwhelming. Characters you think could do certain things like crawling on walls are non existent. Heck, they even do this with Spider-Man, all he can do is stick to walls, not crawl them in free roam. In the end Lego Marvel Super Heroes is a good game and I recommend it to any Marvel or Lego fan, you'll have a fun time with it.… Expand

    My first home console modern Lego game (I had played LOtR on vita and Lego island 2/rock raiders many years ago), and I must say I am very impressed, almost every character in the game is justified and it is endless fun in both story and side quests/open world stuff.

Loved playing all the Marvel characters until I got a little weary of LEGO NYC, even though the city is remarkably well done.     If you ever played a Lego game than you have played them all. That doesn't stop this from being a riot of fun. I love it and my kids love it. The whole thing is made with love and attention to detail regarding it's subject matter. I almost feel like the developers preferred making this to the DC lego games. Great game and fun for all ages.

    No inverted Y axis option. I'd give it around a 7 otherwise, but this pisses me off. I regret buying it.

    If the camera is ever controlled by the player in your game, there needs to be an inverted Y option. I can't do it any other way. It makes the game too annoying to try to play.

    Awful controls, awful camera angles, awful roster - scientist? damage control? Not all buttons are used for playing and some buttons have 2 functions while O does nothing - example deadpool. No funny jokes, asgard pack DLC sucks(8 characters and 5 of them are copy and paste characters with only one action button and other 3 are mehh, not gonna use them)
    This game is not worth its money.

    Just plain bad. Save your money and skip this entirely. Everything is all lazily done, with big lowres textures everywhere. Only the first level is ok, everything after feels like a drag.

    Thats a tough question because I like Spiderman and Storm equally. They both had projectiles that worked very well and took out enemies not to mention they were both very useful characters. Spiderman with his web-slinging and Storm, she would throw out a gust of air that would exterminate flames and take out enemies.

    Yes, I might go back and try to unlock more things.

    Sometimes the prompts don’t show up on the screen when you’re playing so I would be in a situation and I try everything but nothing would work. I cannot fathom being able to get through this game without a step-by-step walkthrough. Even then, I'd still probably lose my mind.     Just got platinum on this and it's as advertised a fun Lego filled to the brim with content. You know what you buy and while no big changes have been made to the formula, the game remains fun and fresh. Perfect inbetweener.

    The only 'point of criticism' I can give personally is that some of the cooler characters are give too late in the game, when I've pretty much finished the game.

Heck, they even do this with Spider-Man, all he can do is stick to walls, not crawl them in free roam.     It's fun for a while, but in the end it is just a regular old lego game. The thing that got me disappointed was despite having over 50 different superheroes, there were only about 6 "power sets" or out of the 50 characters there were only 6 different powers distributed. Overall it was an okay game, but still ended up being a little disappointing.

Combat and puzzles are pretty basic even for the little children. Looks nice for a lego game. VA is ok, but story who cares. Just some more superhero nonsense.     Kids will find no shortage of fun in this game, as they probably love all Lego Games. And as far as Lego games go it definitely is one of the better ones. But it still leaves a lot to be desired, as a concept like this, if properly explored and envisioned, could be an incredible game.

    My favorite lego game of all time. The story levels are interesting and filled with Marvel characters, and take more time than I thought. Once you beat the campaign, you can still earn more characters and bonus levels. Split-screen is great, you can team up with your friends or family, and have hours of fun.

    Great game for younger children! I played this when I was 7, and had a BLAST! My only problem is that some of the levels have to be searched up. Other than that, FANTASTIC!!

    This is my second favorite Lego game, but probably TECHNICALLY the best? The free roam is amazing, and there are SO many characters.

    And it's not that buggy, unlike the new games.

Lego Marvel superheroes this game that wonderfully serves the characters of Marvel from the comics, the game feels like it was taken from the Marvel comics pages and the story is not amazing but very enjoyable. The stages in the game are very fun however there are stages that are not fun at all and feel smeared but apart from this little problem the stages in the game are very fun. The gameplay in the game is not amazing today (2021) but still very fun there are parts in the gameplay like the airport that they just were unbearable but other than the small part the gameplay is very enjoyable. In short Lego Marvel Superheroes is a very fun game and perfectly faithful to Marvel comics, anyone who loves Marvel must have a copy of Lego Marvel Superheroes!… Expand

    If you don’t love this game, it’s because you had no childhood. It’s nostalgic, funny, and the character variety is awesome. The open world always has something new to complete, and it’s a very enjoyable game.

    LEGO Marvel Super Heroes represents Traveler’s Tales finest work with the LEGO property. All of the requisite hooks are there: a fun story, good humor, solid gameplay and healthy challenges. The studio’s reverence for the source material really pays off in the end, with content and character options that should be more than enough for any type of Marvel fan.

    You only need a shallow appreciation for the Marvel super heroes culture to enjoy the newest Lego game. It has a lot of playable characters and the variation between exploration and standard levels is great. That makes it hard not to take the sometimes antiquated design for granted.
