Aug 18, 2016Layers of Fear: Inheritance far too reliant on jump-scares, while somehow not even fully understanding what makes those scares effective.

Aug 15, 2016Inheritance doesn’t bring any of what I loved most about Layers of Fear back to the canvas, and instead feels like an unnecessary epilogue. It’s a shame, but like the work of Fear’s own tortured painter, not everything can be a masterpiece.

Aug 13, 2016Layers of Fear: Inheritance may inherit the technical wizardry of Layers of Fear but it does not recapture the level of tension and dread of its parent game. More proof that you indeed cannot go back home.
