They shouldn't allow us to play pvp since beginning. The game itself is a mess. Need pve mode to let us to practice. We shouldn't choose heros without understanding nothing too.

This game is $30 dollars which is a cheap price for a new multiplayer only shooter. You can use variety of characters with different abilities and weapons to wipe your enemies to the floor with nice gravity mechanics to punish your enemies the way you want to. The problem is that the characters are uninteresting, and needs to be improved on to make them more interesting to play and some of their abilities are a bit overpowered and needs to be nerfed. Other than that, if you like arena shooters like Quake and Unreal Tournament, then this game is for you. I would recommend this game. Expand

The reputations of the individual members of Boss Key not withstanding, the team as a whole is present and they are treating this title as a service that they hope to continue to provide for many years rather than a one-off money maker. The devs regularly frequent Discord and the official forums, answering questions and taking note of feedback. I have followed Cliffy for a long time, and it's rare that one of his games disappoints me; at least on PS4. There is simply not enough content, and you will notice that within your first hour of play. None of the modes are as interesting as the title insinuates, it's all kind of thrown together, and it's really hard for me to pinpoint what exactly they were going for or what they were thinking. I know it's at a reduced price but sometimes that actually shows a lack of confidence in the product you sold me. The gameplay is okay, but sometimes it's too complicated. Normally that's not an issue, but it's not as accessible as Overwatch so at the end of the day I would rather play that, and even that game can get strategically confusing.

The characters are really weird. Some look cool like the Vanguard and others like the Sentinel are just weird.

Hopefully, this leads to something else as I will always support Cliffy's games, but I'm not happy with this one.

First of all the Heroes are ugly and uninteresting, i know this is is just a nit picky point of view and this doesn't affect my score. Second, the Heroes don't feel like they fill the role they should. Sure you have a medic with healing orbs, but overall everyone just feels like dps. There is no difference between the dps, healer, and tank classes. Balancing is completely abandoned right now. The wraith, assassin, and gunslinger dominate the game, seeing as they do so much damage and they movement speed is a blur. Compare that to a class like the the Juggernaut which has less mobility, less damage, and barely more health it just seems unfair. The pacing is also an issue. The game is a chaotic mess when your in a match. You get no breathing room to recover from a 1v1 or anything. You kill, you die immediately after, they die after killing you, and so on and so forth. It's an endless loop of madness in cramped maps that are too small for fast paced objective missions. There is a game mode where you have to fight for a ball in the middle and bring it to the enemies side to score. The Wraith class can literally (no exaggeration) pick up the ball and be in the enemies base in less than 3 seconds. I promise that is not exaggerated. THAT IS REAL!! half the time i can't keep track of enemies, or my own team and i end up looking around in circles. You never really know what's happening in the game, and i'm already driving myself to the point of rambling.

game is 4/10 it has potential, but falls flat with Heroes roles don't effect the gameplay, everyone is pretty much dps, horrible pacing, cramped maps, and horrendous balancing issues. Game could potentially go somewhere if they slowed it down, made the maps a little larger, and made your supportive heroes feel supportive to the team. as of right now this game is a hero based call of duty game, and not the good call of duties, but infinite warfare call of duty. Please fix this game ClffyB, you have such a legacy to live up to.

Giving a game a Zero means that it has absolutely no appeal what so ever, the game is unplayable due to glitches or issues or if the mechanics just don't work out what so ever. I obviously understand that everyone has their own opinion but it seems like now days people either give agame a 0 if they don't like it a little bit or a 10 if they like it a little bit.

You can factor multiple things in order to give this game a great score.

It tries something a little different than what the norm is
It's fast paced mayhem that works really well
    The gun play is awesome
The variety is great but what you would expect in a game like this
    So much more

This game is absolutely nothing like OverWatch and it doesn't try to be like it one bit.

I can agree with some arguments that the characters aren't as "Unique" as a game like OverWatch but they definitely fit for the type of image the game portrays.

This is nothing like a team, based shooter. In Overwatch, one terrible teammate can cause you a match. In Lawbreakers, totally not the case. This is a skill based shooter which means that your actual aim comes first and all of your abilities come last. If you can't aim and shoot consistently, you're not going to do well.

There's a number of fresh mechanics that are in the game that I'm hoping other FPS games take note of for the future. One in particular is the "Shoot behind you" mechanic. Does exactly what it says. You can be running straight and an enemy is behind you , which would usually mean they have an edge on you. You can turn shoot behind you, while still running forward, to possibly get a kill. It's a great feeling to pull one of those tricks off and it actually succeeds.

I planned on giving this game a solid 8.5 (8 in metacritic scoring) but have determined that since so many people are giving it just a 0, I'm going to give it a 10 to make up for all of those.

So what, hate me. I'll be playing this game a lot and for the $30 price tag, it's well worth it.

Lawbreakers is fast, frenetic, multiplayer action. It's very fun and at $30 it's an easy buy. All of the game modes are ones you've seen in other games but with a fun twist. The biggest problem I have is that the UI isn't terribly inspired and neither are the character designs.

It definitely can be compared to Overwatch in the sense of being a class-objective based shooter, but it's different. An analogy I could come up with to describe the differences between them are as if Overwatch is to Call of Duty as Lawbreakers is to Titanfall 2. One has very simple movement and gameplay while the latter has more of a complex way of movement and character balance.

This game is the homage to Arena shooters while still keeping up with gaming's current trends (MoBas). All in all; I recommend it now as it's good, and it will keep getting better.

Lawbreakers is more Skilled based than Team based and it's way more fun, in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy me some Overwatch but lately have just been getting very bored of it.

Lawbreakers brings a lot of nostalgia. I used to play the hell out of Counter-Strike and Unreal Tournament back in the early 2000's as a wee little kid. This game brings back all of those found memories. I can't remember the last time a game released that had this type of game play. This is what Death Match is all about.

The game can get a little tricky in the Low-Gravity areas of the maps but after some time, youi'll definitely get used to it.

Overall, this is a great, fun, death match type of FPS game with Hero elements. All of the Ultimate abilities are Okay, not overly stupendous, but okay....and there's nothing wrong with that. But the rest of the game is an absolute blast

Story: Nothing much here, an Online shooter like the old FPS titles (unreal tournament with a mixtue of a modern touch of FPS)
Gameplay: fluid gameplay with no trouble, classes with different weapons and abilities but you don't need need to stick to one class because all classes are perfectly balanced. So it doesn't feel like a TF2 game.
No, you know what, this game is really something and enjoyable game that deserves more praise, as an indie game this game has better servers than COD and that is really something, you don't die because there was some lag in the game. All have a perfect connection to the server.

So if you want to support a game that is selling more poorly than what Battleborn did at launch support this game, it doesn't cost full price as an AA title normally does. 30 bucks for 100+ of entertainment.
I give this game 9/10 because this is an MP game I have been missing, a game that rewards the player and not because some guy has a gun locked behind a paywall.

Fast. Good graphics. What separates it from Overwatch or Paladins the most is that you can traverse the maps in seconds with a full jet pack (generally) and get to where you need to be, which makes for some intense conclusions. Also I really like the awesome looking graphics as opposed to the modern cartoony or cell shaded approach. $30. This is what online PvP only games should cost.

Add a spice of zero g movement and combat, and you have a really good layout to get your players to move around fast and be aggressive on each other. There is a feel to the combat and speed that I really like, and while I think the characters don't have depth or interesting designs to them and the maps lack imagination the devil's in the details on making gameplay far more important than pretty visuals. It's also very difficult in learning and the lack of a tutorial in the PS4 version makes the learning curve really immense for newcomers to jump into.

Now I did not play the beta or alpha to it, only the current final product that it was intended and I really enjoy it. Alot. I like moving through zero-g and having that constant frantic speed that never ends for matches. The game modes all add to that feel and have varying degrees of success. While the modes are not new per se, the creativity of making them appealing is there. Blitzball is by far the best mode, where you run to a talking ball that you take to your opponents goal post to score and cap off at 8. What ensues is a desperate game of shooter rugby, where defenders are flanking you and doing their best to kill the runner while the team going for gold keep them at bay. Despite the size of the maps, the lengths of these standoffs is surprisingly long and really hammers away how easy it is to get wrecked and effectively create a no mans land in objectives.

Microtransactions are apart of this game. I usually and still do think that microtransactions in fully priced games deserves no respect or love and to see Lawbreakers have this on top of loot boxes is really disappointing...if it was a fully priced game. But it's not. It's only 30 dollars and even the special version is 40 bucks. For only one time will I accept this microtransaction system and tolerate it, but still believe the progression system is hindered still as a result. It makes me upset that games have become more and more willing to just jumble someone's hard work into meaningless slot machine chances for skins that they will get too much of and don't want or want one never get. I don't like that in other shooters, I don't like it in Lawbreakers. The classes all play fairly well together where it balances solo and team tactics that makes all classes independent of fighting each other on a 1 on 1 engagement, but is absolutely critical to play as a team to succeed at the goal.

The music has some good tracks in that I like, the jargon of the characters leave alot to be desired and despite the Blitzball being voiced by Morty in Rick and Morty that I find a bit annoying, the audio design is still very well done. The weapons have their own flair and punch that feels satisfying. The characters feel particular balanced, but as all shooter online games patches and community feedback to what needs tweaked is always a must. The technical side is unfortunately hard to address because it DOES matter what type of PS4 you have when playing this. Play on a Pro version, and the game stays at a fairly consistent 60 fps and performance quite solid and good. Play on the the regular version and you have massive frame drops when large amounts of action is on the screen, and considering its fast, frantic action thats only spelling for backfire. It's a shame that this was released in this state because unless you play PC or have a PS4 Pro, you will largely struggle with players that perform better than you and get a huge advantage that can win or lose a match in the blink of an eye. There was even an issue that the PS4 version in general had stuttering that made matches sometimes hard to play through. which really kills the joy of the game quickly. Considering this is an underground type, it needs all the help it can get if it wants to shine like popular shooters currently.

Lawbreakers has some fun and enjoyable moments to be had, especially with friends, but the high skill ceiling and issues that I have mentioned really hold back it from embracing true greatness at the moment. Since the game has a low (but very active low) playerbase, it needs all the help it can get from buyers to try to play and find some value in it. Having a tutorial system really helps go a long way and this game does deserve your time to play it. I would give the base version a 6/10 and it's pro version an 8/10, so as a compromise I would put it as a whole as a 7/10. It is a good game that needs more love from not just the devs but also the onlookers that are looking at this game with a negative feeling. Despite its generic surface, underneath is a deep and wildly engrossing game that demands your skills and time.

LawBreakers delivers in terms of neat weapons, lightning-fast kills, and aspirational skills. You’ll look back in awe at performing feats like landing a triple kill while blasting yourself backwards into a zero-g environment. Despite the adrenaline-fueled highs, the title falls back to earth due to uninteresting environments, generic characters, and a lack of variety.

Despite my many grievances, once I actually learned how to play the game, I did have fun. However, getting to that level of competence was certainly not helped by the game in any way, shape or form and as it becomes more and more difficult to find matches online as the weeks go by, I can’t help but wonder if it’s even worth it to take a risk boarding what may very well be a sinking ship.

A very interesting 'hero shooter' that delivers a classic core gameplay with a modern twist. It does have some issues but we've had a great time playing it, and if you're looking something different you should give it a try.
