Apr 30, 2021A real surprise that I didn't see coming.
Lots of nostalgia, clever writing, truly gross, non-PC, and often hilarious moments. This is an unusual mix of genres that provides constant variety and interest, right through to the end.
Good British humour and well worth your time.

Playstation Official Magazine UKDec 14, 2020Lair Of The Clockwork God is sometimes very, very clever, although this cleverness leads to rare instances of self-indulgence that obscure the way forward, which is thankfully the exception rather than the rule. When the disparate parts fit together, and you overlook the ropy platform controls, there’s an unusual game in here with personality. It’s a jolly (and occasionally filthy) adventure, the likes of which we’d love to see more of. [Issue#183, p.65]

Dec 1, 2020Lair Of The Clockwork God is an excellent game that will take you on a hilarious journey solving puzzles with Dan and Ben, even if the journey is shorter than I would like and the jokes don't really read to anyone who isn't quite steeped within games culture.

Nov 20, 2020Both sides of the game are fun to play, and again, controls are well thought out, allowing you to hop between the two to make progress. Most interesting is when the duo have an effect on each other, such as crafting upgrades for Dan using Ben's inventory items. There's a lot going on here, and while it's occasionally a little clumsy, its humour and ingenuity make it a success.
