    I haven't played a Visual Novel game in ages, to think of it, the last time I played one was with the Hotel Dusk series on Nintendo DS. So I decided to start my journey again with Jisei The First Case HD on my PS4.

    Jisel has great visuals and an intriguing story line involving a murder in a local Cafe. Straight away I was hooked, it felt like I was apart of the game, what to do, where    I haven't played a Visual Novel game in ages, to think of it, the last time I played one was with the Hotel Dusk series on Nintendo DS. So I decided to start my journey again with Jisei The First Case HD on my PS4.

    Jisel has great visuals and an intriguing story line involving a murder in a local Cafe. Straight away I was hooked, it felt like I was apart of the game, what to do, where to move or who to talk to next. All the characters have audio voice apart from your character which meant I only had to read what I was saying rather then the whole dialogue, but its there if you wanna.

    I finished the game in a little over an hour and a half, yes its a short game but it was very enjoyable. If you have never played a Visual Novel game before, then Jisel The First Case HD would be a great stepping stone.

    Hopefully there is more games in the Jisel series for the console market soon!

    Kurzweilige Visual Novel mit zumindest deutschen Texten, was für mich auch der Kaufgrund war, um so eine Art Spiel mal anzutesten. Geschichte war simpel, aber okay. Man muss einen Fall aufklären und ist quasi der Detektiv. Für 1-2 Euro gekauft und dafür war es okay.

    Jisei: The First Case doesn’t do a whole lot, even by the standards of visual novels, but what’s here is done very well. Even if you aren’t a fan of visual novels, it’s different enough that it might just be worth your time.

    Within the realm of visual novels, Jisei: The First Case HD does deliver a refreshing change of pace. The singular focus leads to a tighter narrative with very little in the way of excess writing. The characters are well-written with plenty of intrigue although the story runs its course far too quickly. The art is well done and the voice acting does help make the cast convincing but, once the curtain falls, there's little reason to return to it.
