    A great and charming game with lots of puzzles and beautiful arts. Although, the puzzlez could be more challenging and I wish it had better graphics.
    But still best choice to be entertained !

    The best co-op game i have played i enjoy the concept of the story and the characters have great personality i enjoy playing this game every single time this is a piece of art! I love seeing the Swedish inspired house cause the game was made in Stockholm Sweden this game is worth buying.

    It Takes Two is a better version of A Way Out if you ask me. It Takes Two makes me care about the characters more than AWO did, which in itself is a big ask. Some sections were pretty "mid" but they were so incomparably small and insignificant that they wouldn't affect my final score.     A Way Out had at least an interesting plot twist. The game of the year, It Takes Two is the pinnacle of girlfriend gaming. Hadn't it been a split screen coop, the game would lay forgotten in 60/100 aggregated for its mediocrity.

    I played it with my 11yo, and we loved every minute. It's very cleverly made - each level feels so different from the last, even though the mechanics are essentially the same. It's not too difficult, so great to play with kids, but it's a genuine joy to play and totally unforgettable. The level with the moles was an absolute highlight.

    The gameplay is very fun. I played it with my cousin cause I had nobody else (*wipes away tear*). But boy....that elephant scene is actually **** scarring. The 2 main characters are monsters for that. Seriously. I hated the main characters after that, but honestly I didn't really like them before either.     It takes two is a really nice game for two players with a surprisingly emotional story. But you need a second person with a not so little amount of skills, otherwise you will have a very hard time since it really does take two people to complete each and every challange. The game was lucky to win Game of the Year, 2021 had no real challengers otherwise it would never stand a chance.

    This was the most fun I've had while gaming in a while. The graphics & art are amazing, the gameplay is excellent and the story is decent enough. The little minigames in between also add a nice little distraction from the main story and add to the diversity of the gameplay.     The game is fine. I liked it at first, but it got boring near the end. I expected the story to be much better, but that wasn't the case. To be honest, the ending was pretty bad. But Hakim was fantastic. I played the game with my little brother, and he thought it was an 8.

    The creativity in this game is unparalleled. I played it with a buddy of mine and we were laughing are butts off because of the things you could do in this game (whether it was planned by the developers or not)
    A lot of challenging minigames, great puzzles, great story, great bossfights, a lot of nods to other games, just all in all a very fun and lengthy game. I'd say 20+ hours of gameplay.

    Longevo il giusto.
    Livello di difficoltà leggermente tarato verso il basso, il che permette di giocare anche con un compagno che non sia necessariamente esperto del genere.

    From the very beginning I was disappointed with it's graphics, but OK, this game is not about the graphics and technologies.     You can see that this game is made with love, this game is an example why video games are form of art. Everybody should try this game. I was a little bit suspicious when it was pronounced GOTY, but i played it and i say that it is absolutely deserved.

    This is one of the most funnier video games that i ever played, the story is original and even beeing not the better part of the experience, is kinda interessing. The fact that this game is maded for playing with a friend makes him so original and had a very different gameplay form the majority of the games that are launched nowdays

    The only real issue I have with this game is that the story is mostly (except that one part, you know the one) generic and un-memorable. Controls are fantastic, gameplay is fantastic, I recommend this game to just about everyone. A really great follow up to "A Way Out" that allows for new video game players to experience the magic that a lot of more serious players seek.

    A game which is absolutely not even a bit my tipical genre, but the ambient it creates playing with your significant other / friend is phenomenal.

    This game is the undoubtedly the best choice you can make, if you plan to introduce someone into gaming, who wouldn't do it by themself.

    I can't wrap my head around why everyone loves this game so much. To me it represents an evolution of all of Hazelights' strengths and weaknesses from A Way Out with one exception - unlike A Way Out, It Takes Two is actually fairly good-looking and has some very well designed levels which wasn't the case with A Way Out. But being a better version of a terrible game is nothing to bragI can't wrap my head around why everyone loves this game so much. To me it represents an evolution of all of Hazelights' strengths and weaknesses from A Way Out with one exception - unlike A Way Out, It Takes Two is actually fairly good-looking and has some very well designed levels which wasn't the case with A Way Out. But being a better version of a terrible game is nothing to brag about.

    So the pros are back, the game constantly introduces new mechanics and is constantly changing - it never really allows itself to get boring. The cinematic moments are back and better than ever with some of them being so good that me and my co-op partner said "yooo that was awesome" out loud. Unfortunately all the cons from the past are also back and so much worse.

    While A Way Out's plot and characters were dull and boring the plot and characters in It Takes Two are aggressively bad and obnoxious. Considering this annoyingly lengthy game relies on a divorce storyline it's baffling how the writers managed to make two protagonists who could never, would never and should never have gotten married in the first place, let alone have a child. It's like they are an amalgamation of everything terrible you could have in a SO and the things they do show that they really don't care about their daughter, they just want to get out of the situation they are in, making the ending just laughable. Add to that a love guru who made me roll my eyes every time he was on screen and you really start to wonder " If they tried, could they make this any worse?" . The other problem is that once again Hazelights' game is a jack of all trades but a master of none. Almost all mechanics feel cheap and uninspired. There were a few that were fun but the vast majority just failed to impress.

    If it wasn't for the bonkers amount of different and well-designed levels, the few amazing cinematic moments and the few fun gameplay segments I would say this game is another dud. Instead I'll say that It Takes Two is a step in the right direction for Hazelight but a marathon run away from a genuinely good game. Please guys, fire all your writers and hire new ones. A very mediocre 5/10    … Expand

    More like It Takes Years. It's very long and drags out so much that we got incredibly bored and were wishing it to be over.
    The four points are for the co-op missions, which are honestly very fun, and the environments are very pretty to look at, but the story drags so much. The reasons for their divorce were laughable.

    The absolute perfect game to play with someone who doesn’t game often. I played it with my girlfriend and we had a blast! The gameplay changes all the time, and the game manages to be challenging while being very forgiving. I really enjoyed this one, I hope more couch multiplayer titles come along!

    This is a great game. The authors managed to create a game that is simple to play, but still never gets repetitive. The story is touching and it makes you care about the characters a lot. My girlfriend and I loved playing it.

    It Takes Two was visually both very cute but also very beautiful; I just love how unique and intricate each chapter was from each other, I think visually the best chapters were the Cuckoo Clock, Snow Globe, and Attic chapters and the most fun chapters to me were the Snow Globe and Rose's Room chapters.     Im not joking this was the christmas game i was always hoping for, I played it with my girlfriend and we had such a blast and we will also replay it since it it FULL of amazingly polished mechanics, It takes tow does a lot and they do ALOT AMAZING. I say it is my favorite couch co-op game ever made. Next game that is comparable amazing is Broforce which is also so much fun with friends on a couch.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. It Takes Two is a great coop game. One of the best designed puzzle/platformers I've ever played. The visuals are gorgeous, the variety is insane, the controls are pleasant and responsive, and every new area brings something new.

    At the same time the story is a huge weak link.

    The game centers around a husband and wife on the brink of divorce who are magically transformed into toys and have to navigate and world of magic and imagination, where toys come to life and squirrels wage a high-tech military campaign against wasps.

    The mini-stories that every new area is centered around are pretty great: they're fun, quirky and pretty out there in a good way. But the major plotline is, plainly, mediocre. First, the game does very little to make the characters even remotely likable. The man and the woman are in a toxic relationship, they shower each other with generic family-drama-style whiney complaints; the daughter character is hardly more than an equally generic sad face. There's no depth to the conflict, and there's very little reason to root for them. They look like people who, indeed, should not be together.

    The other story issue I have with the game are the sudden displays of cruelty and unceremonious violence in this otherwise quirky and funny world.

    The protagonists-turned-toys are shown in-universe as being able to constantly resurrect upon dying, and they're constantly subjected to being killed (including by each other) for laughs—note, they're also clearly shown to *not* be immune to pain. Characters (toys and even household objects, many of which are randomly alive in this world) are routinely hurt, mistreated and downright killed off. And while this may be viewed as an intentional attempt to demonstrate how these people grew cold and unempathetic over the course of their failed marriage and how this supposedly contrasts the mind of their innocent child, even if that was the idea, it doesn't work at all. The game paints a cutesy, brightly-colored, fairy-tale-like atmosphere, as if it's going to tell a Pixar-like tale of emotional growth, and scenes of cruelty feel downright tone-deaf against that backdrop.

    Me and my S.O. have been playing It Takes Two and enjoying the gameplay a lot, but the story bits have made us both uncomfortable more than once. We're not setting our expectations high for the conclusion.    … Expand

    Actually a great game in a creative setting, which became so rare these days. What I hate about this game is the difficulty. There's no way that you beat the bosses, even at a very early stage, when one of the players is inexperienced. To me that's a huge design flaw. Certes, le jeu est plutôt joli et amusant mais je n'y ai rien trouvé de fantastique. Un bon petit jeu qui amusera quelques heures mais il y a nettement mieux.

    Le doy baja calificación por esa burla hacia México y el resto de Hispanoamérica al no incluir textos de nuestra región, y nos obligan leer lo de España.

    Hasta Brasil tiene una traducción propia, que es solo un país en el continente.

    No recomiendo el videojuego si quieres algo de single player, y obviamente tampoco por hacernos jugar en inglés o el español ibérico.

    Simply incredible! The platforming is fantastic, the mechanics are varied and great fun, the story is both touching and fun. At times it feels like playing a pixar movie. You'd be doing yourself a great disservice by missing out on this one. It's a must buy for sure!

    Pretty outdated graphics, animation like it's 10 years old. However, I give a rating of 9 as an encouragement to the Creators for creating a forgotten type of game for two people on a console. I remind all creators that consoles support more than one controller and gained popularity thanks to the games for two players.

    This game should easily get game of the year, I enjoyed every minute of it and played it 3 times, the levels are not copied each level is new story unlike other games. If you haven't played this game I highly recommend it!

    This game is a GEM. I haven't been so much into a game for many years. Regarding the gameplay- there are so many new ideas integrated, the game is so much fun and I can't believe how much NOT repetitive. The levels design is gorgeous.

    I love it! I'm buying all of the studio's other games.

    Amazing co-op game! At first I kept seeing all the ads for the game and it didn't peak my interest, but I heard some people say good things about it. Convinced my friend to play it with me and we both loved it.

    One of the best co-op games in a long time.

Most of the time the game doesn't do anything to make the stage or goal clear, one of the worst co op games of all times. Btw when you make a game that has split screen you should really make camera controls that are possible to get around. Stupid game that feels more like an elementary school quiz than a game. I can't really see anyone having fun with this, I vote this for the worst game of the decade...     Incredible game! My ten year old son and I played this game through in three nights for maybe 6 hours at a time. The way the levels progress and change pulls you in and keeps you constantly entertained. The story is well written with a messege of love throughout and the music is beautiful.     One of the best if not the best Co-op games around. Every section has new gameplay gimmicks that are fun and engaging. The variety offered in this game is quite astounding really. The story can be divisive. I liked the back n forth between a divorcing couple AND I really enjoyed some of the darker elements of the story.

I was very surprised with how much this game has to offer in terms of content as I racked up roughly 15 hours on my first playthrough.     It Takes Two takes the tried and true action/adventure-puzzler genre and turns it into possibly the most collaborative split-screen co-op game ever created. Coupled with the presented marital issues between the main characters that make for fantastic springboards to discuss with your own Player 2, It Takes Two will strongly resonate with just about anyone who picks up a controller. Although character development was a bit lacking and the story somewhat sluggish, these issues do not diminish the incredibly imaginative level design and supremely enjoyable boss battles. If you’re looking for a case study in co-op puzzle games that deserves to define the genre going forward, grab a partner and pick up It Takes Two.
