I was going to rate this an '8', but then remembered I paid £3.99 for it, making it a complete bargain, so I've upgraded to a '9'. If you like twin-stick arcade blast-ups, you cannot fail to enjoy this smooth, enjoyable game. The controls are tight and responsive, and the aesthetic style really cool with its simple shapes and constant explosions of colour. If you like twin-stick arcade blast-ups, you cannot fail to enjoy this smooth, enjoyable game. The controls are tight and responsive, and the aesthetic style really cool with its simple shapes and constant explosions of colour. I'm only up to level 10 out of 80, and whilst there isn't a vast variation, it's still fun and highly addictive. Furthermore, as you gain power-ups and things get more chaotic, the game gets more involving and tense. There are three difficulty levels and apparently you can select/change these within a single game.

It has a different feel to other similar games, hard to describe, but kind of 'softer' to play.

All in all, this aligns with other great twin-stick games like Atomine (superb) and Geometry wars (we all know about that one!). And at such a low price, it's one to grab for arcade fans.

Inferno 2 does a good job of taking a mobile gaming favourite and making it feel like a substantial console shooter. It's fun to play and quite exciting but concerns over the lack of difficulty and variety do take the shine off a bit but for this price, we're not complaining.
