This basically is a multiplayer twin stick shooter which sounds fun but turns out isn't fun at all. This will be on sale for $1 during a PSN sale and you will be tempted but don't waste your time and money. Expand

Local multiplayer like in the good ol' days, frag your (ex) friends and brawl on the couch in real life while you destroy them in the game. Ok, one thing that you have to know is that you'll need friends to enjoy it, and singleplayer content is kinda weak right now (with plans for more stuff in the future), but as for local multiplayer this is really great fun!

We’ve seen a lot of this type of twin stick shooter since Geometry Wars proved so popular back in the early days of the Xbox360 but this is the first I’ve played that attempts to focus on multiplayer, unfortunately it’s not very good.

The single player mode is little more than an extended tutorial that explains the controls through a series of rather dull “challenges” and most people won’t waste any more than ten minutes on it. The multiplayer, which is limited to offline only, isn’t all that much better. With four ships on screen it’s often quite difficult to get a clear picture of what is going on with everyone just flying round shooting almost at random until just one player is left standing. If you’ve gone through the bother of getting 3 mates round you’ll want to find something far more entertaining than this to play.

Looking for a local couch multiplayer to play with my friends, this game give us hours of fun with each game session. Single player challenges look just a training tutorial, but it doesn't no matter.

In space we brawl miss all the expectations about a local multiplayer.
They try to make a deep customizable mechanics for the ships and weapons, but it results in boring and long ship configuration for an insta-kill that ends the match in seconds.
Do you remember how much you hate your friends during a team selection in FIFA or PES? Change team, change and move the players and spend 5 to

Well in those games you have an avarage 10 minutes to play ahead so it worth to wait, but In space we brawl does not have a play through so long and it results in a game with a lot of configurations and less time to really play with those configuration...
They try to put inside different game modes, but noone of them are frantic or fast, too much strategy in a game to play on a couch with friends.

Conclusion: I'm sorry but this is one of the most boring game I ever played.

Sadly, about halfway through the lessons, the difficulty of completing the challenges spike, making the training far more aggravating then helpful. With this being the only other mode, the entire package feels feature light, even for a moderately priced downloadable offer.

A very nice "couch multiplayer" game, sadly with no option for single player (no bots!) and online multiplayer.

If you loved Geometry Wars and you’ve got three buddies looking for some couch gaming action then you might want to consider In Space We Brawl, however, in my opinion, you’ll have more fun simply going back and playing Geometry Wars.
