    Not a bad game, looks good, plays well, the only downside is the in game economy, avoid if you think this will be an easy platinum. You get 70 coins for winning a race, which will mainly be online against a few people that can't take an L or complain when they try to crash you and they come off worse lol 70 coins for winning a race which can take seconds or up to 5 minutes, and you need toNot a bad game, looks good, plays well, the only downside is the in game economy, avoid if you think this will be an easy platinum. The single player is fairly short and I imagine a large amount of people won't be able to get the unleashed time in a lot of the time trials.… Expand

    Great game until the Time Trials ruin it. They artificially slow progression, are required to advance through your career and remove all fun from the game.

    The expansions are more than the price of the game. Not a chance when 1/2 the game loop is terrible.

    sometimes fun, mostly frustrating
    randomly difficulty spikes, even on easy, unrealistic time trials, random wonky physics, that only one the player experience and not the ai. the graphics are great, along with the roster but you are better off just turning the music off. very disappointing game overall

    First of all, I love racing games, I almost always enjoy a good racing game. This game is everything wrong with modern racing games. The campaign mode is literally rigged to make you play as long as possible, similar to mobile game tactics. There is only one, (yes one) way to unlock cars, which is through LOOT BOXES. The only currency you can use is the coins, which you earn in campaign,First of all, I love racing games, I almost always enjoy a good racing game. This game is everything wrong with modern racing games. The campaign mode is literally rigged to make you play as long as possible, similar to mobile game tactics. There is only one, (yes one) way to unlock cars, which is through LOOT BOXES. The only currency you can use is the coins, which you earn in campaign, but not nearly enough to actually get good cars, oh yeah, and the cars performance is DIRECTLY tied to how rare it is in the loot boxes. I have literally one car that can keep up on the straights (upgrading is BS, a lie (boost is nerfed with upgrades wtf)) with NORMAL AI AFTER HOURS OF PLAYING Also, the AI will interfere in your race if you are too far ahead, sending you to last place at the last lap as punishment, sometimes flipping your car over for NO REASON. It is an absolutely amazing example of the problem with modern games, and is literally one of the worst racing games I have ever playedn **** this game, **** its greedy tactics, **** LOOT BOXES… Expand

    Hotwheels Unleashed offers plenty of customisable options, tracks and vehicles but unfortunately the actual racing isn’t all that much fun.

    Hot wheels unleashed is an arcade racing game with an equal amount of good as bad… firs the good.. the amount of customization and attention to detail in this game is insane.. as you play youll earn coin and blind boxes, giving you random hot wheels cars all with their own stas and are upgradable with different rarities, and yes I did pull    Hot wheels unleashed

    Hot wheels unleashed is an arcade racing game with an equal amount of good as bad… firs the good.. the amount of customization and attention to detail in this game is insane.. as you play youll earn coin and blind boxes, giving you random hot wheels cars all with their own stas and are upgradable with different rarities, and yes I did pull legendaries… you can also earn these cars in the story mode.. and each of these cars you can customize all th way down to the wheel.. really making this feel lik your toybox wich brings me to the track creator.. im not one to care about these type of things anymore.. but the early teen in me loves the fact you can build a track around your room like the good ole days, having sleepovers with your friends.. coming up with the most ridiculous jump and loops possible.. and yu can play these tracks locally as well as online, though I don’t see the option to download other created tracks which is a bummer, you can however download other players customized cars.. up to 100… when it comes to racing, hot wheels unleashed is best locally or online.. its fast and fun drifting around corners trying to outdo everyone around you.. its hwen you play solo that hot wheels unleashes problems start to show… theres an adventure mode here where youre going through races and time trials basically back and forth, clearing these hllenges to unlock new track bulding items, earn coins, and cars.. and imemdietly I relized, oh no.. theres rubber banding.. unfortuntaly there is no sweet spot difficulty to make racing through this game solo thrilling… easy is essentially free roam mode cause the AI cant keep up, and the rubber banding in medium and hard ruins races.. turning this basically into nothing but time trials essentially.. one wrong move and youre in last place.. that’s how bad the rubber banding is… might as well restart.. much like again.. a time trial.. when I sit down to race.. iwant to race.. don’t pretend theres added difficulty by making the ai slingshot to catch up with me… jst make the ai better the harder it gets.. so unfortunately playing solo turned this into a map cleaner more than anything else.. made worse by how uncreative the tracks are.. The game focused so heavily on detail they forgot to focus on zany fun… sure there are obstacles thrown in there like a spider that shoots a web,but no childlike imagination.. making forts out of pillows, throwing bouncy balls here and there, making me drive over a bowl of water.. a cat swiping at you while you drive around… an insanine incline down a flight of stairs to fly across the room… nothing really to remind me im dirving a hotwheels car.. other than the ocassional vent or couch to drive across, but its so in the background hat I stopped paying attention.. really making getting through the campaign a drag at times, as it is just recycled the same 8 tracks over and over and over…
    That being said if you plan to race online or locally with friends.. hot wheels unleashed has potential to be a staple in your collection.. creating tracks to challenge eachother, designing a staple hotwheel..
    This is a must have for racing fans..

    Hot Wheels Unleashed when I first started playing this game I enjoyed it but the more I played it the more I grew frustrated with it the Time Trials were near impossible to finish and the AI is so totally unbalanced that playing on Easy is way too easy and just putting it on medium makes the AI near impossible to beat to the point where I fear even trying the hardest difficulty setting,Hot Wheels Unleashed when I first started playing this game I enjoyed it but the more I played it the more I grew frustrated with it the Time Trials were near impossible to finish and the AI is so totally unbalanced that playing on Easy is way too easy and just putting it on medium makes the AI near impossible to beat to the point where I fear even trying the hardest difficulty setting, it's totally grind heavy and relies on Loot Crates which they called Blind Boxes that most times will give you the same cars constantly.

    That said here's a list of pros and cons for the game

    Pros:
    -Beautiful Graphics
    -Music is catchy
    -Tons of Iconic cars like the TMNT Van, Ecto1, Dolorean, etc.
    -Awesome Track Designs
    -Livery Designer
    -Race Track Creator

    Cons:
    -Even though you have access to a track creator everything's locked so don't expect to make epic tracks right at the start
    -AI Difficulty spikes being totally unfair
    -Loot Crates
    -Near impossible Time Trial races (Too many of them actually)
    -It is totally grind heavy to the point where you'll be grinding for hours just to get enough coins for the Blind Boxes or to get enough gears to upgrade your cars for the record its 500 coins for a single Blind Box
    -The single player mode is kind of bland and boring but it is passable    … Expand

    Looks great. Drives not great. Multiplayer?.

    The cars and tracks are nicely made and I really love the idea. But driving is awful and an arcade racer should be fun and good to drive. Only nice small cars are not enough for me, sorry. Also multiplayer? where is it only driving against friends, no bots, online competition..

    Hot Wheels Unleashed doesn’t have much to offer, and as an arcade racing can only be entertaining for a few hours before fading to the bottom of your game library.

    Hot Wheels Unleashed is a fun arcade racer for the whole family, whose biggest weakness is the counting lootbox system, which dampens the passion for collecting to a degree.
