    Proof that simple idea's still work great, especially in VR, OK its simple pong style premise but man this game rocks. One of my best VR experiences on PSVR and its pretty cheap.

    was a long time Handball player but had to give it up due to a bad back but this game allows me to have that awesome feeling of smashing a ball inside of four walls all over again! The physics are great, the frame rate is great and the AI is solid enough to learn your weak spots (at least it feels that way).     Holoball has a lot of positive reviews so maybe its just me but i did not feel this game that much, It does have support for hand motion which is always a good start, it has a cool idea for a theme but its not much to look at. In the end all you do is smash a ball with a paddle against a wall and it becomes very stiff after a while. Its not that cheep either for this 300mb game.

    I give this a 4 and even though the number is red on this site keep in mind that a 4 means right below average, so its not that bad but, Its a very small game for its price.

    I'd say it can be a pretty good exercise game, but i'd say save you money for something else.    … Expand

    I had high hopes for Holoball. After all, a VR pong game seems like a good idea. I knew that whether this concept worked or not would come down to execution and unfortunately this on PSVR is just too rough to recommend.
    The first issue I encountered was that the game requires a large game area for a PSVR game and frankly I felt that my VR room and setup were being stretched to their    I had high hopes for Holoball. After all, a VR pong game seems like a good idea. I knew that whether this concept worked or not would come down to execution and unfortunately this on PSVR is just too rough to recommend.
    The first issue I encountered was that the game requires a large game area for a PSVR game and frankly I felt that my VR room and setup were being stretched to their limits. Some shot fails were directly attributable to this.
    Whilst the problem above could be resolved with a larger room setup, there is simply no way of avoiding the bugs. I had to restart the game several times due to it getting stuck into a buggy pattern, such as the CPU no longer responding mid game.
    As can be expected of VR Pong the gameplay is repetitive, however Holoball would still be worth a purchase if the physics of hitting a VR ball with a VR bat were actually spot on. Unfortunately I found them to be lacking. I'd repeatedly aimed in one direction only for the ball to go in another. There seemed to be a lack of accuracy that was the real let down here.
    Overall I played this for just over an hour and have never felt the need to go back to it. If the developers refine it a bit Holoball on PSVR could be worth a purchase, but in its current form it is better avoided.    … Expand

    There are better paddle ball VR games out there. This came in at $15 and can be completed in 10 minutes (There is a Youtube video showing how its done). Visuals are dull and the soundtrack lacking. Danger Ball from Sony feels more complete. Proton Pulse is also $5 less and is a full game with better production value. It also requires the move controllers instead of making themThere are better paddle ball VR games out there.     This game does not work correctly at all. trying to get the right floor height is a pain. settings don't save. for a VR game it was one of the worst perception problems i have felt. the paddles don't hit the ball at all how it should. you miss half the time and don't know why. it was just a waste of money cause it doesn't work how it should

    An early psvr title which I didn't find that entertaining at all even back then. Pretty basic pong style game in vr.

    As purely motion control games with a lot of movement go, HoloBall is one of the best out there. It is a small and focused title that offers fluid and fun gameplay while maintaining the retro feel of classic arcade high score addictiveness. If you have the room and don’t mind being on your feet then HoloBall is a brilliantly bite sized package with an impressive sense of scale.
