    While it lacks in variety, Heroland serves up an original idea that is almost sure to give RPG fans a laugh along with a taste of something new, yet familiar.

    The real problem with Heroland is that it can’t decide what it wants to be. Is it a JRPG? A resource management game? A visual novel? It tries to do too much and ends up lacking the necessary gameplay element to make it a complete package. However, if you enjoy a charming, dialogue-heavy game with a grind, you just might enjoy Heroland.

    Heroland is a great localisation of a interesting twist on the JRPG format let down slightly by a few mechanical issues. Yet its pedigree shines through. p.s. Trophy whores need not apply.
