The sequel to the pigeon dating sim "Hatoful Boyfriend", if you enjoyed the first game you should enjoy this also as your favourite birdies are back starring in multiple Christmas themed stories. I would heavily recommend playing the first game before this one although it's not necessary but your "bond" with the characters may not feel as strong.

This game also introduces 2 new characters and a few chapters dedicated to Nageki fans.

Like the first one you have to get pretty far in for the game to become truly good, but damn is it good. A very funny and endearing experience. 85/100

Holiday Star is possibly the only game that contains a pheasant weaponizing the delusional fervor of otaku. Established birdie lovers will find a lot to love in Holiday Star, but fledglings should start with the prequel.

Hatoful Boyfriend Holiday Star is a crazy but fun game, though certain aspects of the game could have been done a lot better. It is definitely not a must-buy, but fans of the original will still enjoy it.

The first game was quirky and so bad it was funny and enjoyable while this sequel just isn’t. It’s repetitive, boring, has dull dialogue and isn’t fun. I found myself using the fast-forward button more than once – and frankly if a game feels the need to include a fast-forward button I think it says a lot about what the developers expect from the players.
