An underrated gem, Harmonix Music VR offers PSVR users the chance to draw in virtual space or take a trip into a kaleidoscopic music visualizer. While I would have liked more modes or options to play with, everything here is executed well, especially the easel mode (painting virtually is a stunning experience and so much fun). This has little of the charm that make its games so enticing, nor does it offer much in the way of entrancing solitude. [Issue#180, p.48]

The big problem with Music VR is that the game just doesn’t have a lot of substance.

Harmonix Music VR somewhat justifies its existence. Having a drawing app available for PlayStation VR out of the gate is nice, but everything beyond that is kind of pointless. 'The Trip's' kaleidoscope visuals are great for a couple of songs, and it's a wonderful starting point for VR beginners, but the remaining two experiences are redundant and unappealing.
